| Comments: | Hi, I just got through reading your entire website. I loved it. Your office is hilarious. I work as a grant writer and have started to get into freelance writing. I drive to Waukegan, IL from Milwaukee every day. Office work is such a joke. The other grant writer and I are best friends and sit next to each other. We can see each other above our 1/2 wall cubbies. Sometimes, when she won't stop talking to herself I stack squeeze toys I got free from a vender on the ledge. She will slide these to the side to talk to me and continually knock them down on her desk and on mine. One landed in the fax machine and it jammed. This cracked me up. I could really relate to your cartoons. |

Thanks for inspiring me today. |

| Comments: | Hola chica con aspirina. Um. Are you allowed to sign a guestbook twice? This might be my third signing, actually. OK--I don't even HAVE a TV and I loved your post about the Bachelor. (If it wasn't for the wedding channel I wouldn't even know about The Bachelor...isn't that sad?) But just writing to say your top ten list has 4 of my top 10 movies on it and I haven't seen the rest. So I guess that means that I should see them. Have a great Thanksgiving. |

| Comments: | Oh my...that baby story. Wow. Your alley wins. In fact, my alley doesn't even come close. I don't even have an alley actually. Still, I can tell that your alley is basically the winning alley all across America. Just thought you'd be happy to hear that! |

| Comments: | Hey Girl With Aspirin, Keep that liberal spirit alive...As for me I plan to STAY on the couch for the next...what is it? 805 days or so? Until the next election. It could be longer...Oh gosh, it can't last forever can it? Can it? Anyway...I had a funny dream last night where I came up with two strategies. (1) We breed a race of Republican-looking children (or perhaps kidnap them) train them to infiltrate the Republican party and DO OUR BIDDING. Problem: Lack of money (2) The second one: We convince everyone NOT TO VOTE. And I mean everyone. (Obviously, won't work on the candidates...but their votes will cancel each other out.) Then we have no one...Don't you think no one would be better than the current situation? Problem: Candidate with biggest family wins. Mormons run country. |

Can relate to much since being unemployed, freelancing, etc. My lay-off took over a year from notification to actual commencement and those of us referred to as the "walking dead" had quite a time closing down the shop during that time. | Comments: | Hey, another DHSOTM reader... Great site...a nice break from my own bereft-of-freelance-work (web design) unemployed stay-at-home world out here near Boston. I too have become domestic (ew!). I too have had that weird gift of fear reaction (my mom got her wallet lifted in Boston while we were shopping, and as soon as we discovered its disappearance we knew when it had been stolen, courtesy that strange feeling of something feeling *wrong* that we all seem to ignore). I like your style. And the cartoons are great. Really witty. I esecially like the one about the Visa bill. You two are really talented, and don't let the fact your unemployed make you feel like you aren't. Though, I KNOW how hard that is at times! I also saw the movie you're talking about: "Paradise Lost" though I've not seen the second one. My husband and I were frightened. Land of the Free and Home of the Brave, my backside. We're RPG'ers, too, so we MUST be going to hell...though, you know, I don't listen to rock music. So there must be hope for me yet. Oh, and I'll hopefully be seeing Bowling for Columbine this weekend. If we can find money. Oy. But priorities are priorities! Good luck to you both, and feel free to browse my biz website (75design.com) and my begging-for-work personal site - it's not as cool as yours but I'm going to work on it, if I can find the motivation - LLupien.com. Peace, Lynne |
