Hello everyone,I would like to start first by thanking Tina for her effort and dedication through the workshop. It was really a big help,it clarified alots of things about the CPNE.I advise anyone who's taking the CPNE in the near future to attend Tina's workshop,it's really worth every minute of it.Tkanks again Tina.
I took my CPNE in Amarillo,TX.It was a great experience, the CA and CEs were great, they really want you to do well and pass the CPNE.Just remember your HIPPI COW PTSD (mnemonics)and write down your GRID by doing so,you already got the job halfway done. What's left is the patient care.Remember to keep your patient SAFE (that's the CEs main concern),other than that things will flow automatically once you're in the pt's room, just take your time and go step by step...NO rush.Keep in mind you have 2h30mn for each PCS manage your time well don't let the clock beat you.Finelly, there is no secrete to the CPNE just a positive attitude,a good plan on how to perform your PCSs(Tina's workshop)and alots of prayers. I wish all the CPNE takers success. Thanks Samir

I passed my CPNE in Plano on Nov. 9-11th. It would not have been possible without the support, knowledge, input, skills practice, and caring by Tina and her greatest supporter, Sebastian. This workshop totally prepares you for the CPNE experience. Tina gives you the tools and you apply the practice. Each one of us brings our own unique background and knowledge to the class and throughout the workshop we are able to expand on that knowledge and learn from others. The Plano site is first rate - from the gentleman who greets you when you arrive to the CA and CE's who care and want to see you succeed. For anyone preparing for the CPNE challenge, I encourage you to take this workshop, apply what you learn to suit yourself, and taste the victory of being successful at the end of your three days. Good Luck to all who are on this journey and may you all feel that sense of accomplishment that comes with reaching your goal. Practice over and over and be thankful when Tina and Sebastian have you "do it over". Thank you, Thank you,Thank you. God Bless you both.

I tested Nov. 9-11 in Plano. It was a wonderful site. The CE's and CA were all very friendly. I passed all labs and PCS's the first try. I could not have done it without Tina's workshop. The workshop really prepared me for the expected and the unexpected. The CPNE would have been much more stressful if I hadn't gone to the workshop.

hello everyone,
I passed in Amarillo Tx. Nov. 9-11 with no repeats. First of all praise and thanks to God! Tina's workshop is truly a blessing. Everything is covered in the workshop and i mean everything. Tina truly cares about your sucucess and is a humble and genuine person. Her husband Sebastian is just as great and wonderful. Together they make your cpne workshop expierience stress free and fun. They are both very patient and will answer all your questions. Stop reading all those negative blogs on the cpne. I read those blogs and it added to my stress so much that I postponed taking my cpne for two years. Make your cpne your own expierience. For me everything flowed and I was out of there by 10am Sunday morning. I applied everything I learned in the workshop, studied, practiced and passed. The ce's and ca want you to pass they are not looking to fail you. Be prepared and confident in what you are doing and know all your critical elements. If you are going to take the cpne you must take this workshop. It will help you to pass your cpne. Thanks, JP

I passed CPNE in Plano on Nov 16-18. I took Tina's workshop on Oct 5-9. Now I can say for sure that I could not have passed without attending Tina's workshop. When I received CPNE guide from Excelsior College, I panicked. I tried & tried for 4-5 months, I just could not focus on reading this thing. So finally I called Tina & received Tina’s notes. (Before attending the workshop), it was such a relief, as compared to bulky big’ol study guide these were about 40 or 50 pages only. I memorized all my critical elements within 8-10 days. I could not believe it. And when I attended workshop, in just 5 days, I gained more knowledge & got more practice than I have had in 6 months of studying on my own. It was amazing. Even more amazing to me was that Tina told us to give her a call on cell phone anytime we had questions. She even called me during my CPNE, on Friday evening to discuss care plan of my first PCS. Remembering a student who attended workshop 1-1/2 month ago & remembering the dates when every student is taking CPNE is a sign of very responsible person. Tina has a heart of a teacher, this is very important when you are trying to learn from someone. Thank you Tina. I also, want to thank Sebastian for providing us with great practice of lab stations. God bless you both.

I tested in Madison WI - the examiners were all very friendly -some were more helpful than others - I had to repeat one lab and one PCS -my first day I was very nervous but by day 2 Tina's training took over and I did great. I would never have made it without Tina's workshop. It has taken me a few days to realize I passed.

HIPPICOWPTSD is the best thing that ever happened to me. Remember the CE is there to test you and not just to fail you. the people inn Atlanta were great.
Thanks again Tina and God bless you for your school and heart.

I thank God that there are people out there like you that are caring and willing to help those of us that really need it. I know I did the work to pass but you gave me the foundation to help me pass. I thank you for that and anyone that wants to pass the CPNE then I say please take this class. This was the only $600 I never regret paying and I would have paid more because this workshop was so worth it. Tina, you and Sebastin are great people. God Bless you both and Thanks again!! What can I say....I just WOULDN'T have passed the CPNE without Tina's workshop!!!!! It wasn't that the CPNE is soooo hard that no one can do it, it's just that I wouldn't have known what the CEs were looking for. My best piece of advice would be to NEVER, EVER, open the Excelsior study guide (it will only confuse you) and JUST GO TO TINA'S WORKSHOP!!!! You will learn everything you need to know there.
The CPNE was really NOT as bad as the stories make it out to be. The CEs are very nice and they know how much stress you are under and they do what they can to reduce that stress. I'm not saying they will do everything for you, you have to know your stuff, but they are NOT OUT TO GET YOU!!!! I thought Racine, WI was great. It's a very nice hospital and it is set up nice. The CA and CEs were so nice. Good luck to everyone. If you take Tina's workshop you will pass. Just believe in yourself. Anna Faulkenberry Passed the CPNE on Dec 9, 2007 with NO REPEATS!

Passed my CPNE December 7-9th in Racine! First I want to thank God for giving me grace and the confidence in myself to do well. Then I thank Tina for the wonderful workshop she created for us! I am sure you have heard testimonials about other workshops, but BELIEVE me when I say if you take this workshop there will be NO surprises when you test! From the labs, to careplans, assessessments, and documentation, this workshop covers it ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not have had a tenth of the confidence I had if I did not take this workshop. Tina and Sebastian are patient angels who really want us to succeed. Take this workshop one time so you won't take the CPNE a second time! It is worth every dollar believe me! Good Luck and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!!

I arrived at this workshop the week after Thanksgiving and was scheduled for CPNE on 12/14/07. Whithin the first hour I realized I spent the last 6 months preparing wrong. When the workshop ended on 12/4 I only had ten days til CPNE. I passed all the lab stations and PCS's the first time. I would have never passed without this workshop and Tina's encouragement. Taking this workshop is a MUST ! ! I did not attend any other workshops and was ready for the CPNE in Madison, WI. This workshop leaves no stone unturned, it's interactive and hands on.

Happy New Year! First of all I would like to thank God for the wisdom and guidance during my CPNE. Tina, thanks for your words of encouragement. I read the excelsior study guide once, it was so overwhelming that I could not retain any single critical element. Then I went to Tina's workshop, everything made sense, the mnemonics, her notes and careplan were very helpful. That's why I passed my CPNE for the first time. I paid attention to everything that she said during the workshop, read her notes and practiced the care plans, and labs. She is a very organized person and she wants us to pass. Be attentive during the 5 day workshop. Be thankful that somebody cares a lot to tell us that this CPNE is a doable test, she will even help you for your first PCS care plan, know your basics and of course the assessments. I tested at Meriters hospital in Madison Wisconsin last Dec. 14-16. The CA is fair, and some of the CE's. I failed the wound station the first night because the gauze had touched the skin per CE, I did not argue with the CE, told my self I have to focus, I went there to pass not to fail, I passed the lab repeat the next day and passed all my PCS without repeats. All the 3 CE's inlcuding the one that failed me at the wound station, were very impressed with my assessments and organizational skills, I maxed out my time with the 3 pcs. I spent 45 minutes on planning, I had good rapport with all 3 patients, though a lot of interruptions from the MD's, nurses and patient's families but stay focus, organize your grid( assessments) and you will be just fine. My last CE was the one that failed me at the wound station, she kept interrupting me during my planning phase by adding and subtracting assignments from my PCS form, I kept focus and told myself this is my last PCS it's Sunday morning and I will pass the CPNE and I did! When I went to the conference room and meet with the CA, she congratulated me and told me that I knew what I was doing and that I did great with all of my PCS.It feels good that you are being complimented and that I told them I went to only one workhop, I went to Tina's workshop. Do not dwell on a negative experience, use this as an inspiration to go on with life and focus that one day you will be able to fulfill your dreams. With Tina's help and her husband Sebastian I was able to pass my CPNE for the first time. Tina and Sebastian are genuine people, they want us to pass the CPNE and be great RN's. Be an attentive listener during her 5 day workshop, practice with the labs, practice PCS, care plans, know the mnemonics by heart, read her notes, be positive and be confident. Attend Tina's workshop, believe me it's worth it. There are no words to express how greatful Iam that I was able to meet Tina. May God continue to bless you and your loveones. Good luck to all future RN's!!!!

Tina's workshop changed my life and attitude. I went to it, unsure whether or not I had what it takes to pass the CPNE. I feared the workshop would leave me more insecure as my weaknesses were exposed...for I already knew I had much to learn. I have been an RRT for about 17 years. I have been exposed to all aspects of hospital care many times, from floor care to ICU to codes and even to ER. Yet my focus has always been on the lungs and heart...and nursing involves the entire body. Before Tina's workshop, I had been told by RN's where I work that I would never succeed, that it was necessary to do the 2 years on the floor as a student with the teacher beside you to gain the skills needed to complete a nursing degree. I was wondering if they might be right before I met Tina. But by the third day of her workshop, I suddenly started grasping things that had seemed absolutely foreign to me beforehand, and I actually told my husband I felt like a different person mentally by the time we left California to go back home to prepare for "THE" real thing.
God worked out all the details. I had signed up for the Northern area (NY) because I was told they were the quickest area to get a date from. I also heard from many that they were the hardest. That scared me. An opening was offered to me for January 4-6 in Schenectady, NY at Ellis Hospitpal within a couple of weeks of my return from California. I prayed about it and accepted it. I want you all to know I am so glad I did. Ellis Hospital has approximately 300+ beds and appears to be a very clean, well run hospital that covers a wide variety of care, including pediatrics. The CA, Dicey O'Malley, appeared to be a no-nonsense person who initially reminded me of a drill sergeant. I saw the softer side of her fairly quickly, however. She, and all the other CE's, definitely went by the book, but none of them seemed unfair or overly critical, honestly. They were fair and, a couple of times, even a bit more lenient than I expected. They truly wanted the 4 of us in my group to succeed. To my knowledge, all 4 of us passed. Many fear the Northern hospitals and avoid them, even to the point of waiting many months unnecessarily. I can honestly say "don't do it. Go to NY and get it over with!" If I can pass, you can too. Know your pneumonics Tina assigns you and practice, practice, practice. Keep your Plans of Care simple, and use interventions you are assigned already on your Kardex for your diagnoses. Keep safety and handwashing in your mind at all times. Be wise with your time. And don't forget to practice converting micrograms to milligrams, if you are rusty at this. That was a curve ball for me. I had been told they only used straightforward, simple drug problems on the lab simulations by some who had already tested. That is not the case. The majority are the simple ones, but they DO have microgram problems, also. The stress level makes everything so much harder than it really is. There is so much you are trying to remember. Do your grid and keep focused. You, too, will pass.

While studying for my CPNE, I was feeling that the workbook that Excelsior gave me was not giving me enough direction to pass that expensive test. As I was going through the different internet sites and groups looking for more information about the CPNE I contacted some of the people that had left messages. Through those contacts I found out about Tina’s workshop.
Though I did not want spend anymore money than I already had, the people that had taken Tina’s workshop and had passed the CPNE test strongly suggested that I should go to the workshop, and if nothing else, just call her and ask some question. Well, I forked up the money and bought my ticket to San Jose and spent the next 5 days getting the best information I could have for the CPNE!! Without any hesitation I would say; whatever you have to do to go to this workshop, do it! Four days after Tina’s workshop I flew to Amarillo and pass the CPNE with no repeats. Thank you Tina and Sebastian for caring and helping all of us. Jay Mac Donald Captain/Paramedic and now, GN Jay129mac@yahoo.com

I can't say enough positive things about Tina's workshop! When I took my CPNE everything was exactly as Tina said, and I could go through my skills and PCS's with confidence. We started with 6 candidates, 3 of us passed and of those 2 had taken Tina's workshop. Some of the others had attended different workshops, but unfortunately they weren't nearly as prepared as we were and they didn't pass. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who is going to be taking their CPNE, it's the best investment you can make in your education!
Thanks Tina and Sebastian for all your encouragement and hard work!

I am not sure how typed words can possibly convey the impact this workshop had on me. Tina and Sebastian are two of the greatest people I have ever met. They take so much time to ensure that we get the information we need to pass the CPNE. Tina always answered my emails and took my calls and I was only one of the many students that she helped out. They truly care for each and every student that they have.
I was grandfathered into the program as an EMT-b with limited clinical experience working as a CNA. This workshop leads you through the entire CPNE process and lab skills. Every day before and after lecture you get hands on experience with the lab skills. This is invaluable to passing them the first night of your CPNE. Tina and Sebastian watch you do the lab skills so that you know you are doing them correctly. The entire CPNE is broken down into steps and areas of care which are discussed in great detail during the lecture time. Tina takes out any guess work and questions you have. After taking this workshop you will have total confidence in your skills and abilities. I got a cancalation date while I was at the workshop with a four week notice. I was worried that it would be too soon and talked to Tina about my fears and concerns. As a former student and graduate of Excelsior she truly understands where you are coming from. She calmed me down and told me that I could do it. I took the date and passed. Without this workshop and the information and tools Tina gives you I would not have passed on my first attempt. Tina and Sebastion also took the time to talk to me on the phone three times while I was in Madison for my CPNE. They calmed my nerves and got me refocused and congratulated me when I passed. I am so glad that I found this workshop and I can't imagine anyone walking away from this and not being ecstatic that they took this workshop. Amber Eliason

I took Tina's workshop in November of '07 when I did not have a date for my CPNE. I just wanted some guidance in how to study for such an overwhelming test. Boy did I get it! Tina is so very informative and provides such an approachable method to master the skills needed to pass the CPNE. She also is incredibly supportive in the whole process. I ended up getting my test date in early February of '08 and passed everything on the first try. I am thoroughly convinced this would not have happened without Tina's technique and calm, straightfoward reassurance. I'd recommend her workshop to ANYONE who is planning on taking the CPNE -bar none.

Soon I'll have to change my email address because I just passed my CPNE the weekend of Feb. 15! I tested in Plano and the C.A. was wonderful and very understanding, caring. The C.E.'s were fair and helpful as far as they could be. They did try to minimize our stress level. Tina's workshop prepared me to take this exam. Her mnemonics were so helpful. You have plenty of time for the exam so take your time and focus your attention on what you are doing. Be flexible if things change and remember you are in control. During the evaluation phase be sure to go over every square inch and make sure all blanks are filled in and documentation is done appropriately. Don't rush through the eval. because once you turn that paper in, you are officially done with your PCS. Tina, thanks for all you do and continue to do for your students.
Sincerely, Colleen Sanchez, G.N.

I really enjoyed Teena's workshop. Was very useful for me in passing. I have not worked in healthcare for over 10 years - so i couldn't have passed without attending the workshop. Sebastian was very patient with me in practicing the labs.
I would focus on practicing the patient sitations, the labs (obviously), and practice writing the documentation - quickly. I ran out of time on almost everything - labs and patient care scenarios. I was able to pass everything without really looking at Excelsior's study guide at all. I wouldn't recommend this .. but I felt there was too much information there. I wanted to keep my studying simple - and know the key areas well - not to try to know everything. Anyways, it worked well for me ... I passed - I attended the Madison (Meriter) site. I would recommend this site to others - I had a very positive experience there. Thanks Teena and Sebastian for all of your help in enabling me to pass (and allowing me to come back and study a couple of times) at the workshop. I really appreciate your help. Anyone out there can send me an email - if you have a specific question.

I attended Tina's workshop 3 times to prop up my confidence, It really was instrumental in my success. The mnemonics was my guide in all the exercises both clinical and labs. Even, two of the examiners had all the praises for my sense of organization and confidence. On the last patient that I did, there were minor kinks, but the examiner stated that your show of confidence and sequencing of the intervention proved to be effective.

I have an early spot in April 4-6 instead of May so I took a chance this is my second time. I like to thank everybody who help me with this challenging part of my life, especially Tina. I took my CPNE in Merit Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin in it's quite an experienced for me because the C.A. is nice greating us in the lobby and she is very patient with us. C.A. introduced herself first and asked us where we came from and asked our names, and she said we are waiting for one person but we can wait for him in the conference room instead. She start checking our ID's and reading the instructions but she stop and call the one applicant who's going to take the test and she is calm and not upset of him she even give him instructions to get there. The lab.set up is like Tina's workshop all 4 of us passed and we all split to check out our assignment for the next day. I started in the neurological unit and my C.E. give me a tour in the hospital unit, it's all easy access to what you need even the sink and explained to me the chart what consists of and what to review and what to look and a print of latest vitals and assessment of the patient and she said she will print a new one tommorrow morning to show me before I start. Saturday, 1st PCS I reviewed the chart and new set of vitals and assess. The pt. is going home to SNF, the pt. is upset about that. I did all my PCS nsg dx. 1. Impaired in comfort and 2. Risk for injury, grid, neuro. assess, comfort management, I/O, mobility, meds, and chart at the I finished it on time but my C.E. said I have to check something to the C.A. I had a feeling there was a problem but I was calm. The C.A. called me in the room and explained to me what I did wrong that I did'nt check the lower extremities-strength, I only check the upper extremities. My C.A. and C.E. are very supportive and encouraring that I'm doing good they both impressed my grid how I arranged it they said whoever taught me how to do this is a great teacher beacause the SWIM part represents me in order to go reach my pt. to the side (pt.s info) I have to do all the obstacles to reach (accross) my pt. They told me to focus and just follow my grid and I will do find. I followed there adviced to keep focus and just follow my grid and remembering what Tina said in class one step at a time and just worry when I get there. I passed second PCS, pt. has gangrene on her foot so I have a chance to use a doppler, assess: PVA, resp. man, pain man. meds. etc. My third PCS I passed pt. was in contact prec. wear a gown, gloves., meds, 02 man., pva, resp. man. I was so stressed I even used what Tina's jokes in class like when doing the safety of O2 delibarate checking of the plugs and checking the drawers for cigarette and teling the pt oxygen is highly combustable and tell your visitor's too I said not to bring you cigarerettes, lighters, and matches; my pt. is laughing and said you are right, telling me your are good and he said you know that's why I'm here I smoke a lot before. My last passed PCS is a surgical pt. ERCP/ lap. chole. I did abd assess, resp man. 02 man, pain man. walk the pt. to the bathroom, reposition the pt in etc. I thought my last pt. I will never get done plus I have to my charting but I did it!! I am so happy I finished it. All the C.E.s patience let me finished my thoughts of my charting, not pressuring me they even remind to stop like my contact prec. she purposely closed the door so that when I'm done I will take out my yellow gone throw it in the linen bag and wash my hands before going out the room. I have great time it's like in the video that I watched in Tina's class the CEs and CA are all just like that, they care as long as you did all the critical elements and write down all your findings in your paper and listening to Tina's lecture, you will pass. Just stay focus on one pt at a time don't rush. Check pt ID, communicate and delibaretely do the assessment and you will do find. We all passed in our group we are 4 and its not our first PCSs I know 3 of us we went to Tina's workshop and we are all happy to pass this time. Thank you Tina, for everything, My favorite part in your class is the prayer in the last day, it always makes me cry but I enjoyed class every minute of it. God Bless You! How can I begin to talk about the wonderful experiences I had at Tina's workshop. Tina takes the information from the Excelsior CPNE Study Guide and puts it into an understandable format for learning. Her combination of lecture and hands on practice made for an excellent learning situation. I can say with confidence that Tina's workshop was one of the most important tools I used to pass the CPNE on my first attempt with no repeats! This is one of the best investments you can make in your education and career!

I tested in Amarillo,Texas on 03/28-3/30 and I passed with no repeats. Attending Tina's workshop was the best investment I ever made. Tina's lecture thoroughly teaches you everything you need to know to help pass the CPNE. Ignore anything negative you hear about the CPNE exam. Like Tina told me, " Make your experience your own." My CA and CE's were all really nice and fair. Just make sure you use your GRID and memorize your mneumonics. I don't think I would have passed without it. THANK YOU Tina and Sebastion for all your help. I feel truly blessed to have met you both. I highly recommend taking Tina's workshop to prepare you for the CPNE.

I tested at Meriter hospital in Madison, WI on May 30,31 and June 1 of this year. I passed every station on the first try and would never have been able to do so without attending Tina's class. She has great insight on exactly what needs to be done to pass this very stressful examination and she passes that insight on to you with great enthusiasm and an incredibly positive attitude. Tina breaks down every aspect of this test and puts it back together for you in a way that makes it easy to remember and easy to practice and carry out. All of which is very much needed to get you through when the stress is so high. On the first night of the exam you are given time to work with and check out the equipment used for the lab stations and in that time it became apparent to me that no one else had taken Tina's class. Out of 6 people that started the test only two of us were left at the end of the second day. Tina's class is well worth the time and the money to attend. If you practice like she teaches you, you will pass and will not have to retake the CPNE and pay that expense again. Do it!!! You will not regret it and you will meet some wonderful people in the process! Good luck!

I just passed my CPNE in Utica, NY on June 2,3,4!!! All I can say is I don't think I would be able to do it without Tina's workshop in San Jose, CA! Yes, it was the best money ever spent. What I learned and knew previous to workshop Tina was able to put together and organize everything that it was making sense. I went to test not only prepared but also CONFIDENT that I CAN do it! And I did it. Tina's workshop gave me confidence, good organizational skills, excellent time management skills. Examiners at Utica asked me straightforward if I attended Tina's workshop and when I said yes, they said: "It shows." After first PCS when I proved myself in their eyes I could do no wrong, I was very relaxed and so were the CE's. I knew that I will pass. Before going to Tina's workshop I thought that I know it all, being LPN for so many years. Guess what? I knew nothing. Tina's workshop gave me new insight and confidence. I was always afraid of writing care plans. Not after Tina's workshop!
During CPNE I met another guy, Paul who attended workshop with me. We both passed. I wish I could write better testimonial but you can always talk to me (Tina has my phone number). Once againg, if you are serious about CPNE take Tina's workshop, it is worth it. And good luck to all the future test takers. God Bless you Tina. Andrew

Last weekend (May 30,31, June 1,08), I passed my CPNE at Plano, Texas. Even before the workshop, I believed I was "ready" for the test, but since day 1, your workshop proved me that I was wrong. I had completely misinterpreted the CPNE. I realized that it was not enough to only read the CPNE's handbook several times, or to develop my own neumonics ... it was a neccesary, a well defined and organized system that took me through this maze. Your workshop was the "missing piece of my puzzle". At the end of day 5, I had a clear view of what the CPNE was asking for, an already probe system that WORKS (Tina's system) and I can apply it. I am very grateful to Tina's workshop and all their excellent and profesional classes. Besides that, I enjoyed the informality and HOSPITALITY at your place ... it made a big difference. During my test, I had the chance to meet other two students who had attended other "workshops" ... I ended up giving them a quick review of the right way -Tina's way- to approach the CPNE ... they passed. I recommed Tina's workshop to any student who want to be well prepare and increase exponentially their chances to pass the CPNE.
Again, Thank you Tina !! Thank you Sebastian !! Luis M. Salcedo, GR

I tested in Amarillo, April 11-13 of this year. The CEs were very nice and helpful. Their usual pediatric CE is one named Barbara. At first impression she is very high strung and may scare the examinee out of his/her socks. She, however, just does not want to be doing anything extra. She is not the CE you try to show-off on. Just do what she puts down on the kardex and nothing more. That will make her very happy. "Go with her flow." She even helped me out with my critical elements by hanging and setting up the IV med herself, interrupting the Respiratory Techs so I could perform my critical elements, and practically telling me what volumes to enter in my I/O. After she passed me she gave me a hug. Different CAs rotate at this test site regularly but my CA demonstrated each lab station herself and enumerated all the critical elements to us during the orientation. As a result 4 of 6 of us passed our labs that first night. One had to repeat the IV station because he said it was his first station and he was nervous. He passed it easily the second day. The other one failed the CPNE because he failed his labs the second day. He, however, was not prepared for the CPNE. I know because he was my partner during the patient care scenarios. We were divided into groups of two and our patients were in the same floor. My partner who failed the CPNE also failed his pediatric PCS (first)and his adult PCS (second). After the second day, 4 of us passed both PCS's, 1 passed one and failed one, and my partner failed both. I'm sure that one passed the CPNE because she was with me when we were being congratulated. I do not know about the rest because I was at a different hotel but I'm pretty sure a lot of us made it judging from our performance after day 2. 2 weeks before I took the CPNE, another student of Tina's took the CPNE in Amarillo and a week after I took it another of Tina's student also took the CPNE in Amarillo. We all made it with no repeats. Moral of the story: If you are at Tina's class and have studied and prepared for the CPNE seriously - you should pass Amarillo easily. This is my second CPNE. I took it last year in Madison, WI (supposedly the easiest) but failed. I found Amarillo much easier. For sure having gone to Tina's review was the main reason but I also found the Amarillo CE's and CA more to my liking. A friend of mine at Tina's class took the CPNE in Plano, TX and is still cursing the place. Another testee in Amarillo when I took the CPNE failed Plano during her first try because accordingly she had the bed elevated at 33 degrees during her abdominal assessment when they told her she should have it at less than 30 deg. Just saying.

I cannot thank Tina enough for making such a stressful & chotic test seem so simple. I am not saying the CPNE is easy by far but before attending Tina's workshop in December I was overwhelmed with where to start. Tina makes studying simple by telling you exactly what you need to study and how you need to do everything. If you do exactly what she says you can pass with no repeats also. I just passed the CPNE on June 8th 2008 in Plano, TX. Good luck to all who have this challenge ahead!!! God Bless you Tina for providing me with all the tools needed to pass the CPNE. Angelique

Well what can I tell you other than follow Tina's advice and you will pass. It is not going to be easy, but nothing in life that is really worth it is. I studied everything she told us to know. I also did read the Excelsior study guide. You really do need to read it to know what the CE's will expect out of you. I tested in Utica, I passed everything on the first try with no failures. The CA actually told me that she was very impressed with me and my skills. Now to be fair, I had been an LVN for 13 and a half years with all hospital experience, but I still had to do it the Excelsior way. Follow Tinas plan and you too will pass. Good luck Yall, Cindy from Dallas Texas.....

Tina's CPNE workshop in San Jose is a must for those who are "serious" about passing this gruelling 2 1/2 day ordeal. I just got back from Mansfield, OH (Med Central Hospital) after passing CPNE (10/24-10/26/08) and there was no way I would of passed had I not gone to Tina's WS. She and her husband Sebastian were outstanding in there instruction and attention to the smallest details i.e. Labs practice and practice PCS. Their facility is awesome with several practice lab stations to keep you busy while you are there as weel as 4 mock pt. rooms. Tina has a wealth of info and she really truly cares about her students. Not to mention she kept us well fed and hydrated during her 5 intensive ws days, 12 HOUR DAYS! The hotel accomadations were good and she and Sebastian even offer there own little private shuttle from WS location to hotel!
Thanks Again Tina and Sebastian! One more thing, her students have a 95% CPNE pass rate on their first attempt! Need I say more?

Aloha Kakou! Tina's workshop attracted me to fly all the way from Hawaii and it was worth every penny! Not only are you treated warmly and fed well (she really does keep her fridge stocked) but you walk away everyday feeling PREPARED! I took her workshop in September. My test date was already set for Mansfield, Ohio in October. Upon arriving home, I studied ONLY Tina's material and let my leafed over Excelsior mammoth CPNE binder in the corner collecting dust. Her mnemonics and lab prep IS ALL YOU NEED TO PASS. She has broken it down to such a science that the only way you'd fail is lack of preperation or pure anxiety. I'm happy to say I am now a GN, thanks to Tina and Sebastian. BOOK HER NOW, don't wait, you'll reap the benefits..no doubt. Best wishes, Hoku from Hawai'i.

Thanks to Tina's workshop which prepared me well for CPNE I passed no repeats. The two things I had trouble with were careplans and blood pressures. I should have submitted more practice careplans to EC. The BP equipment at the hospital was different from what I am used to and presented some challenges. The labs were a piece of cake after practicing what Tina showed me how to do.

I would like to say thanks to God first. Second I would like to thank Tina's workshop for the wonderful job they did preparing me for the CPNE. I left the workshop with extreme confidence.(not to say I wasn't extremely nervous during the CPNE) Tina knows the CPNE skills and PCS's inside and out. I chose to listen to her advice only. If one is to become involved in all of these different blog discussions and personal experiences, in reference to negative CPNE experiences, I believe it can place doubt in the test takers mind. This is only my opinion. Practice your lab skills so you can pass the first night of your CPNE and have less stress for the PCS's, but if you happen to make a mistake don't let it overcome you. Positive thinking is one of the most important aspects of passing the CPNE. Do not let intimidation of the CE's/CA get you sidetracked. Remember they are there to do their job and you must do yours. Tina and Sebastian gave me the confidence and determination I desperately needed to pass the CPNE on my first try. Students the classes are long and can be exhausting, but pay close attention to every word spoken. I recommend this workshop as priority to anyone. Good luck to all and God Bless you. I passed CPNE on Feb 13-15 @ Grady Hospital in Atlanta.
The exam is very do-able. There is no trick, it is stratight forward. Without any repits PCS. First of all, I wouldn't do it without Tina's warkshop. You need to know your critical elements and make sure you document all your critical elements. Also control your stress and organize. I had to repeat SubQ/Im injection because I blocked out I drew 2.5 ml insted of 2ml bcs I wasn't focus but I survived through after I tolk with CA. Do not do or tough or speak with out checking your Grid that is your brain... For careplan Thanks Tina. i didn't even look Mosb's.. Keep ti simple.. i had Acut pain & Ineffective breathing pattern & Acut pain again risk for fall to all my PCS 6 of us pass by 10:30 am the CA couldn't believe it... I wish all my best If you have quesion E-mail me Delila Tina and Sebastian you gus are the best..I wish all my best. Delila

Tina's workshop prepared me for the battle on the CPNE weekend. The GRID was a life saver because it is very easy to flunk especially if you miss any step in the implementation phase or in the documentation.
Some CEs will not cut you a slck you have to know what you are doing and if you know your grid and your careplan, you are good to go because your documentation will flow with the knowledge of the grid. Tina and Sebastein I cannot thank you guys enough. THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND MAY THE LORD GRANT YOU YOUR HEART DESIRES IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

Hi everybody,I attended Tina's workshop in late January 2009.Before going,I was not really convinced but I decided to give it a try.I was pleasantly surprised and felt like my money had been well spent.I have been an LVN for the past 3 years and felt really cocky.I felt like, well,I know how to assess patients and I only need to learn IV therapy;I was going to have one of the RN working with me demonstrate it.I was set on not spending my money on a workshop and thought I could do it alone.I learned about this workshop through a lady at my job who had gone through an excelsior's workshop and had failed her clinical twice. She never attended Tina's workshop but said that she noticed that through all her CPNE's attempts, people were always talking about somebody named Tina and were also among the ones usually making it.I took my CPNE in Madison,Wisconsin from Feb,13,2009 to Feb,15,2009.I passed everything the first time, did not have to repeat a lab or a PCS.To be honest,at the end of the weekend,I was thankful to God that I had chosen not only to take a workshop but more importantly, that I had chosen Tina's.I know some of you might be skeptical, because, trust me,so was I.But it will be worth it.I live in Dallas,Texas and had to go to California to attend it.I learned more in a week there than I did in 6 monhts studying the Excelsior CPNE's guide. Also,I know people who have gone to the Excelsior's workshop and were really disppointed. Also, there is another Tina doing a workshop in Pensylvania,I believe but I am not sure.People have been getting the two mixed up.Don't make that mistake and choose the right Tina,in California.I was not paid to post here.I felt like this was the least I could do for somebody who saved me money (in case I had to repeat the CPNE)and time.Ultimately, this is obviously not a miracle per say, because Tina can only provide you with all the necessary info and training;it is up to you to manage your time and your nerves.I did my CPNE with people who were so focused on labs, they ran out of time the first day, passed both PCS on saturdays and when time came to repeat the labs that they had failed, they ended up failing the whole CPNE because they failed the labs the second time around, spending too much time on one specific step and not monitoring their watches.I am available to talk to anybody who wants to know about my experiences.Good luck to everybody. Thanks again Tina.
I am now studying for my board :)

I just passed my CPNE at St Mary's hospital, Madison WI. Tina's workshop is without question, the most comprehensive preperation there is and if you take her class and do everything exactly as it is presented you will have EVERYTHING you need to pass this test! Compared to what is riding on this weekend, Tina's workshop is a worthwhile investment in your future and you shouldn't pass it up. Thank You Tina!

I WAS SOMEONE WHO DIDN'T PREPARE OR UNDERSTAND THE STUDY GUIDE AND AFTER TAKING YOUR CLASS ON APRIL 13-17,2009 (JUST ONE WEEK BEFORE MY TEST DATE)I LEARNED EVERYTHING NEEDED TO WALK INTO THE HOSPITAL WITH CONFIDENCE. SERIOUSLY I WAS READY TO CANCEL THIS TEST BUT TINA CONVINCED ME TO GIVE IT A TRY. SABASTIAN IS ALSO EQUALLY GREAT .HE WAS TOUGH AND IT PAYED OFF, I PASSED ALL MY LABS THAT FIRST DAY. THESE PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY GOING TO SAN JOSE AND LISTENING TO TINA LECTURES FOR ALL THOSE HOURS. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET TAKING THIS COURSE !!!!

I took tina's class in April. I unfortunately did not take her advice and learn the neumonics before, I wish I would have it would have made the class easier. Never the less I studied the month of May and tested the first part of June. I am 100% positive I would not have passed the cpne the first time without it. The neumonics and the grid will save your bacon every time. I passed all my labs the first time. My first patient was a 7 week old baby and the first thing he did was pee all over the bed, so I just covered it up with a clean blanket and looked at the examiner saying don't let me leave without changing this bed. He said I will do it and he did telling me later that it was not on my assignment so he did not expect me to do it. Well I passed that one and went onto an adult. I made a critical mistake and did not eat in between assignments. I was doing okay and just had to auscultste the lungs and a doctor walked in. When she was done I went to auscultate the lungs and repeated what she did. I listened to one side upper and lower instead of listening to both upper and then both lower. So I had to repeat that one the next day. When Tina tells you keep your stress in check she means it. The next day I passed adult ate lunch and passed the next adult. I was sooooo happy. Everyone else that tested could not understand how I was able to stay calm. None of them had taken a workshop. Not only did tina's workshop help me pass but it made the whole experience less intimidating. I would highly reccomend it and I have to everyone that raven mentions excelsior. There is no way I could have gotten my RN any other way. Thank you Tina and Sebastian

Tina's workshop was exactly what the doctor ordered! The practice lab was set up like the CPNE lab simulation almost to a T. You are able to get a lot of repetition in during your practice and between Tina and Sebastian you got the attention you needed. No question is a dumb question at her workshop. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have passed the CPNE without it. And you get to meet other students who are in the same boat emotionally and studiously, so you can relate to the others. Thanks again Tina for your support!

Hey everyone. My name is Sherri and I am an old woman from south Texas. I passed my CPNE weekend on August 14th -16th 2009. It was the most stressful time of my life except for having babies. I probably would not have passed that weekend if I had not gone to Tina's Workshop along with her husband Sebastian. These two angels have been sent from God to help people like you and me finalize the knowledge and skills that we need to pass the dreaded CPNE. Their workshop was excellent in every way. I passed all my PCS's except for one, the first one. If I would have paid attention to the voice that was in my head (Tina's) telling me to use my grid at all times I would have passed that one. Honestly, the GRID we learn does work. It is something that will save your butt many times and works like a charm when charting and not forgetting a critical element. Tina's lab stations are just exactly like what you will get in the real thing. Tina makes us do more than is expected of us at the real thing but that is okay, it is better to be well prepared than under prepared. I and five other women passed that weekend. One woman did not pass but she was not prepared. She only started studying 2 weeks before the clinical weekend and did not know her critical elements. So practice, practice, practice, pray, pray, pray, and call Tina if you need to, she will always answer on the clinical weekend.
Love and kisses Sherri Wilson, GN

Hi my name is Eyvonne I am emailing everyone to let them know that I was very successful at the CPNE site in Mansfield Ohio Aug -28-30 of o9. I attended Tina's workshop in April of o9 that totally prepareed me for the CPNE. Tina's workshop is the best, it was for 1 full week. She will tell you everything you need to know at the workshop from the labs to the careplans. This is the only preparation that you will need to be successful for that weekend. Also she and her husband is the best team in the nation he works along with her at the workshop . He is more harder on you than the real examiners at the CPNE so what does that tell you . I hope it let's you know that after leaving Tina's workshop you are more than ready to take the CPNE. I chose to take the workshop a couple monthes before my exam so I could take the information from the workshop and continue to practice . I also set my house up like Tina's workshop and made me some lab stations also this helped me . Thank You Tina and Husband you guys are the best I highly highly highly recommend taking Tina's workshop over all the rest because hers is one full week and you will leave there with everything that you need. God Bless all of you who are to follow. If anyone is going to Mansfield Ohio and would like to talk call me at 216-973-4149

It was an exciting time throughout the workshop. I went there with so much expectation to learn and boost my ego to pass the CPNE the first time and that was exactly what I got. I think I was the least experienced during the class, but I was always curious to ask every question I dont know. I would not just ask Tina but also my classmates. The workshop was even tougher than the real exam, because Tina needed to raise the standard in order to mentally prepare us for the best. The grids and mnemonics were just so perfect that it showed the orderliness put into this workshop coupled with Tina's passion for every candidate to pass the CPNE. To the Glory of God I passed my CPNE on first try on June 5-7, 09 @ Merriter Hospital, Madison, WI. The CA and CEs were great. Once you know your mnemonics and put your grids and courage together and tell yourself YES YOU CAN, I can assure you that you will pass with no repeat. This workshop is a must for anyone going for the CPNE. Not only did I pass my CPNE,but on Aug 26, 09, I passed my NCLEX-RN to the Glory of God. Thanks Tina and Sebastian for believing in me.

I can honestly say that Tina's workshop was pivotal in my success with the CPNE. Tina and Sebastian gave me the tools, information and opportunity to practice my skills so that I was able to feel and be prepared for the CPNE. The money that I spent on her workshop was well worth every penny I spent. From what other people told me that had been to Excelsior workshops; Tina's included everything in one workshop instead of more than one and the price was very reasonable for the long hours they made themselves available for practice, teaching and checkoffs. Her support even while I was taking the CPNE was incredible!
Thank you So much Tina and Sebastian! Sincerely, Beth Wineland

Hi everybody,
My name is Titilayo Salami. I attended Tina workshop March, 09. Before the workshop,I have no idea of how to read the CPNE study guide nor the use of the diagnosis book in excelsior way. Tina simplifies CPNE study guide and made an excellent master piece out of the book. Not only figured out the critical elements but all your rights as a student that are included in the book were thaught. The "GRIDS" are fantastic. I used them all and it works for Me and my Sister(Funmilayo Adeoye.)Tina, your charting examples were fabulous.I read them untill I can chart on those PCS samples with little or no mistakes when practising. Thanks to your husband (Sebastine)for his support in teaching us the Excelsior way of Lab. stimulation. I practiced and observed all the corrections made by him during the workshop. If anyone is thinking about how to pass CPNE with no repeat or fail, I will say go to Tina workshop, listen, observe, practice, and pray.I did it and it works. Good luck. Thank GOD, and thank Tina.

Passing the CPNE is possible. My advice is to study all the areas of care. The best way for me was to create flash cards with all the mnemonics and study them daily. The next thing was to practice all your areas of care daily on a fake patient. I would even practice my HIPPICOW script daily. I practiced all my labs at least 3 -4 times a week and even timed myself so I would not go over on the time. Go over different skills as you could be assigned these in your PCS. Finally the best thing to do is relax and DO not be nervous, easier said than done, however it will get you through the first day which is the toughest.

Tina and Sebastian you guys are WONDERFUL!!! I passed my CPNE in Utica, NY on August 21,22,and 23rd. I think this was the most stressful thing I have ever had to do in my life. I have never worked in a hospital before so I knew I needed all the help I could get in passing. Taking this class was the reason I passed the CPNE on the first try. The CE's said I was so organized and couldnt believe that I did not work at a hospital. I took everything that Tina taught me to that workshop and it paid off. Tina thanks for all your knowledge and prayers (especially on that friday night!) I would not have been able to do this without you!!! Now on to the NCLEX

I do not have any hidden agenda about Tina and Sebastian’s Workshop. Tina’s workshop is second to none as far as I am concern. Tina and Sebastian are two phenomena. Their simple, clear step by step instructions did not only enhance my knowledge, it gave confidence. I attended Tina’s Workshop in June of this year and tested in August 14, 15 and 16, 2009. With Tina instructions, I walked into the hospital full of confidence and assurance. I knew I was properly prepared.
Tina simplified the lab and PCS. Tina and Sebastian were awesome. They treated me and those in my class with love, kind and knowledge. There is no word to describe Tina’s workshop. To those of you, who are getting ready to test, do not go without attending to Tina’s workshop. I know money is tight nowadays, if you have friends, enemies, and relatives borrow $600.00 and pay for this workshop, you will not regret it at all. I am indeed grateful I attended the workshop because Tina’s workshop reduced my anxiety level and ease my tension and increased my confident so, when I walked into the test area of the hospital I was sure of passing. I am not saying it is easy. It is nerve racking but knowing all your mnemonics and all the steps as she delivered them during the workshop you will not go wrong. Tina’s workshop is worth going. I wish you all good luck. Agatha.

What can I say that already hasn't been said by all of the people who have passed, thanks to Tina and Sebastian?
I took Tina's class in June of this year and took the CPNE on July 31st in Plano Texas. Out of 6 people, I was one of only two that passed, and I passed everything with zero repeats. My CE for my last pcs told me after I had passed that she could tell how well prepared I was, and I told her that I had attended Tina's class in California, and she said that she had heard that name from other students who passed as well. Go figure.... Just take Tina's class and be prepared to take the knowledge she gives you and practice, practice, practice. Tina and Sebastian are wonderful and I thank them for helping me on my way to success on becoming an RN. TY Tina and Sebastian. Richard Campbell (GN)

Tina called me back around 5 AM Saturday and helped me with my questions. I did make a comment@it, I was told that she was helping another student the night b4 and the call went straight to voicemail and when realized, it was too late to call and wake up. I cannot express how this workshop helped me pass the CPNE, I was always confident in patient care skills, but I was stuck in my ways with my lab skills. They are more strict than the CPNE, if you can pass at the workshop you will pass the CPNE. And the mneunonics were a life saver, I learned those things inside and out and when it was time to do my assessment I just went down the list. And when I charted I just lined it out. I was in and out of my rooms within 45 minutes at the max.

I tested and passed 1st try at Meriter Hospital in Madison WI, July 2009. I can honestly say I don't think I could have passed without taking Tina and Sebastian's workshop. I felt that at the start of every CPE, The CE saw my confidence and competence that I acquired at the workshop. They really will tell you every thing you need to know to pass. I'm not saying you won't be anxiety ridden from stress when you start your CPNE. You will have solidified the skills necessary to perform at peak capacity under that stress. I wish every one who takes this exam all the best, but do yourself a huge favor, and get the the best training you can.

Hello ALL !
I took Tina's class in August. 3 weeks before my CPNE. I have been a LPN for almost 3 years now. One day I decided to find a CPNE prep class. I just simply typed that in and BOOM! Tina's class came up. Not only does she have a ridiculous amount of recommendations but also SOOOOO many people have said wonderful things about this FABULOUS class. I decided to take the chance and fly across country to California. My total expense for the trip was around 1500.00 but this is nothing compared to the extra stress and expenses for taking the CPNE over for the second or the third time. AND it was ALL worth it ! I ended up passing my CPNE by DOING everything Tina said. Before going to the class, I didn't even pick up the Excelsior study guide. I got headaches and mini-strokes just looking at it and i'm 25 ! So I had no idea what the CPNE was about. Tina sent me a package with some FABULOUS pnemonics. I memorized those and the labs as well. I finally arrived to her class and was VERY nervous ! But Tina makes you feel sooo welcome and she is soooo FUNNY ! I will never forget the jokes and the stories she told. Her classroom is set up JUST like the CPNE labs. I practice those labs in class everyday. AND I ended up passing the labs with NO repeats. I can't even get started on SEBASTIAN ! sooo charming and what a wonderful wonderful man. He critiqued my lab skills everyday and gave me the confidence I needed. Tina's lectures never felt long because she made learning fun ( and learning is never fun ). She made the CPNE very predictable. I went from not knowing anything about it to EVERYTHING about it. She really knows what she is doing ! I went into my CPNE weekend anxious but I did everything Tina told me to do. And it made the CPNE do-able. I tested at Utica 9/11-9/13. The first night I called Tina and we discussed my careplans. The next day I ended up passing both PCS'S. That night Tina called me to wish me luck and gave me a great pep-talk. Sunday came and I ended up passing my CPNE. I cried and jumped for joy ! I called Tina and to tell her how much I love her ! I will forever be grateful to her. I really don't see how people can pass the CPNE without taking her class. In conclusion, if your reading this, I hope you take my advice and take the class. The two other girls in my class also passed that same weekend. The CPNE weekend was one of the most stressful weekends in my 25 years. But because Tina prepared me, there were no suprises. I walked in anxious but I knew exactly what to expect and what I had to do to pass. The CE's were very impressed with my charting and organization skills. They even chuckled at some of the pnemonics. So do yourself a favor and take the class ! TINA & SEBASTIAN - You guys will ALWAYS be in my prayers. Because of you, today I submitted my application to the state board of NJ. :D - Mary Z. I tested in Lubbock, Tx in August 2009 after attending Tina's workshop about 2 months prior to my CPNE. I've attended many workshops as well as courses in my academic & professional career and Tina's workshop is THE BEST WORKSHOPS that I've ever attended. (this is my 3rd degree so I've taken a few courses and attended many workshops ;<) Her passion about nursing and education is apparent in everything she does, from the MNEMONICS she has created to the 12-15 hour days she puts you through in her workshop. Yes, there is homework, you are there to learn and pass the CPNE not to eat hotdogs @ the Weinerschnitzel down the street or sit in the hottub. Tina keeps your glucose stable with a fridge stocked with lots of good food that she occassionally snacks on during lecture because she never rests--she's one of the few people that I know that can talk for 12 hours straight, no joke. A little about my experience in Lubbock. I was the only student out of 6 to PASS all labs with no repeats (thanks Sebastian for keeping me honest in the wound station). I passed all of my PCS's with no repeats. The CE's asked me "what did you do to prepare for the CPNE because the other students are not", my response was "I attended Tina's workshop in San Jose and prepared for this exam like no other." This test will be one of the most difficult tests that you'll ever do in life, but if you follow what Tina teaches, then you'll pass this test. Contact me at JCA30@YAHOO.COM if you have questions about the Lubbock site or if you have questions about Tina's workshop. I have nothing monetary to gain promoting Tina's workshop, but once you attend this workshop then you'll agree with me that Tina is truly genuine in what she does-I would have paid 2X the amount she charges knowing what I gained from her! Thanks,
Tina | |

Hello everyone,
Passed CPNE no repeats at Southern regional medical center in Atlanta,Ga.All the rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor are private and the sinks are on the inside. Be flexible.CA and all the CE's really wanted us too pass there was one though what a poker face she walked by me and I thought I was going to die.I Have been a lpn for 11 years worked PEDS, ER, PSYCH, ORTHO, L&D. A co-worker suggested Tina's workshop what a blessing. Even with this experience I would not have been prepared for the CPNE without the workshop.TINA and SEBASTIAN thank you!!!So on with the cpne experience. DAY BEFORE CPNE Hotel was great Excelsior suggested it. My husband came along to drive, feed, water, and meet with the wisest of counselors each night before rest. Hubby was awesome what a love.We ate at the cafeteria of the hospital for dinner just to get a feel for the hospital. Its a 450 bed hospital with the busiest ER in the state of Ga. DAY 1 I woke up early with lots of joint pain I have RA had a flare up last week got out the big guns. So I immediately knew something was not right both of my upper thighs swollen terribly to the point I had to buy new white pants. My husbands nerves kicked in for me Friday afternoon when he was ironing my jacket.I was practicing my wound again in the hotel room. We had a great laugh over that I never expected to see his nerves shakened. For cocktail info he is 21 years ARMY RANGER he survived injury in honduras which required emergency surgery in jungle, a few wars, Melanoma on his neck, broken back from parachuting accident. Upon arrival into hospital lobby some negativity was in the air more than one person was talking bad about the program. I sat down and put my mind elsewhere. Tina said this in the workshop "stay away from negativity" so true. My nerves are already jumping. Stay positive this is our time to shine! CA polite smiling I felt relieved to see this she said encouraging words felt she wanted us to succeed. 1st paperwork, then CA takes us to lab room set up just like Tina's. She takes us all to each table and gives instructions then we get our 15 mins to look around Made a b line for the wound station. Looked at all the other stations too. Once it was time to start CA announces she is short a CE so we will be taking turns.I was the only one to pass all stations. I was told that since I picked the last card out of a random pick that it was my CE that was not there, so another CE brought me to the floor. 1ST PT 61 yo male arrived to ER via amb for h/a,blurryvision,htn crisis, left face paresis. last bp 210/101.Pt never has been on BP meds before. there was never anything clear cut on this gentleman.Went back to hotel ate, had time with the wisest of all counselors then rest. Day 2 I arrive and my CA swiftly walks to me and says "I just spoke to your husband and he said he just dropped you off I forgot to ask him to stick around in the parking lot, your ce did not show up" she gave me the option to wait in the hospital cafeteria for 2 1/2 hours or as she suggested "go have a nice breakfast with your husband" so i opted for breakfast with hubby. which i did not go to breakfast i went back to the hotel to rest for 45 minutes and watch tv. Upon arrival to hospital at 930am CA introduces me to a CE she nodded no facial expression just like Tina said do not read into this it is my test and my time to shine.I was offered another patient 84 yo female S/P TVH Ovarian ca current DX DVT Right groin HX HTN,Hyperlipidemia ASSIGNED PVA Comfort measures Meds ND #1 Acute Pain r/t vascular inflammation,edema(pg52) OC PT will verbalize pain of 3 or less during pcs using pain scale of 0-10 Intervention #1 Assess pt pain... intervention #2 assist pt with reposition... I did ID her SWIM away from patient found nurse for pain med I was not assigned to give her pain medicine only her BP meds.Pt continued to be bit a uncooperative I stepped out of room to chart to give pt space. I could not do pva in the current position she was in as I was writing trying to figure out how to get her there without physical jeopardy. Upon reentry into room patient was found sitting in chair with legs extended PERFECT.Once I was done declared vs before leaving and thanked the patient. As I was writing in eval phase CE came in and said WHAT TIME IS IT she was trying to help me. PCS 1 she stood at doorway and said "you pass" she walked me down to CA. PT states "I really like you, you smile you tell me what you are going to do and then you do it" I thanked pt and continued with assessment.Pt raised up her gown before I could get out of my mouth I was going to do abd assessment and she lowered her bed.Just when I was about to leave for the last time CE asked me is there anything else you want to do before you leave. I stood there for a moment SMILED really big and said yes finished with I&O declared vs. gave rn report. Immediately went into eval phase. CE came back and said "you pass" at doorway. CE then said you are so respectful you have me saying yes ma'am no ma'am. my response thank you ma'am.remember what Tina says a lamb with a brown nose. CE brought me to CA and I was givin instructions to meet her back at SRMC instead of hugh spaulding childrens hospital and to go get some good sleep I left the hospital at 415pm. Went to hotel showered ate sandwiches with hubby he made watched a little tv then hubby and me had fellowship with the wisest of all counselors before rest. Day 3 CA arrived dressed in BLACK OH my goodness my nerves started jumping only thing she was missing was a sickle.(haha) I quickly regained composure and reminded myself it is my time to shine. CA met us in another room with her white jacket on.She stated " I have 2 congraulations letters I really want to give you" my group started out with 7 only 2 left. I said yes then she said will you pick up the phone and call his nurse and give her report. I thought I failed for this. I was very quiet I thanked the CE and went back to room where my books were and prayed and waited CE came in and said YOU PASS. Do you have any others to do I stated no she stated "that's wonderful", "I do not think I could have done what you just did" this is a nurse with a PHD.My response thank you ma'am. CA came out gave me a big hug and congratulated me gave me the paperwork and I flew out of there.Called my hubby and we drove home to fl to find out my oldest daughter and her hubby are pregnant! What a truly exhausting blessed weekend.Thank you all for your prayers. Praise Jesus!! For cocktail information all of my CE's tried to get me to sit down while charting I chose not to because of the RA once I sit down the stiffness really trys to sit in.No one knew about the RA I chose not to share that info. Passed with no repeats in Amarillo, TX on 09-11-09. Hats off to Tina and Sebastian! When I started preparing for the CPNE I of course looked to the big manual from the college. I found it over whelming and tedious to study from. Taking Tina's Workshop was most helpful in clarifying what to focus in on. She breaks it down into digestible segments that made sense to me. This made my study efforts more effecive. After attending the workshop I was able to go home with a clear picture of what I needed to work on in addition to having a better idea of what to expect during the exam. If I wouldn't have taken Tina's workshop I would probably still be trying to read the big manual. Another huge help was the gentle yet prudent guidance of Sebastian's coaching while I was trying to exicute the critical elements for the labs. He will tell you if you're not doing it right and he doesn't give up on you either. Sebastian is a priceless gem! Both Tina and Sebastian are committed to supporting anyone who has the goal of passing this exam!! Thanks to Tina and Sebastian! They are the shining light of the CPNE world that I struggled with for so long! Best wishes to all! Colleen

My wife and kids now say, HURRAY, I got my dad back! He doesn't have to study
anymore. First of all I have to publicly thank my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ for the comfort and strength they have given to me. Second, to my family who sacrificed their lives so I could have the time to focus on how to gain the wisdom and knowledge on how to pass this test. Third, I could have never passed this test without Tina's workshop and the support network from my class. Without the hours of phone calls, practice, and feedback, I could not have done it. There is a technique I now completely understand about this exam. This exam in my humble opinion has nothing to do with my skill level. The CA and CE's saw that when I performed confidently during skills Friday and my first PCS Saturday, although I was nervous. My nerves were getting the best of me because we go to perform in a completely foreign environment. Unlike traditional nursing school, you are with the same instructors, with the same lab equipment, in the same environment. You traditionally take baby steps on all of the floors, building a foundation of what expectations there are for you testing. In a CPNE, they evaluate you once clinically for licensure. In that time period they have to determine if you are competent enough to become a registered nurse. This is why the test is set up so specific to the critical elements. They have to make it so critical or else this campus would never be accredited. This is why the answer to passing this test is to focus on what Tina teaches on the grid sheet and nursing care plans. I will explain below. Here is the deal, if you are competent in nursing care and can perform these areas of care following the critical elements you will pass!! Sounds simple, well it is not that simple. But I can tell you, now that I have taken it, I know how to make it more simple and less stressful. 1. Get control of your stinkin' emotions. Do this by on thinking about the task at hand. On Friday, you only think about those lab stations. If you practice like you practiced at Tina's workshop, making sure you stay in the time limit, making sure you do every pneumonic, you will pass it. I think the hardest lab station is IV Push, because so many run out of time, and because you rush through it, you are more apt to forget something. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo DO EACH STEP BY LOOKING AT EACH PNUMONIC. PERIOD..... i.e. (what I put) I/C/P/A (ID./ Calculate / Prepare / Agitate prn) IGI (you know this, ID, Gloves, IV site) A (Alcohol) A (Aspirate) F (Flush) I (Inject) F (Flush) R (Record) Now don't be STUPID and forget to look at it each step or you fail. 2. This advice continues especially in the PCS. In the PCS, you are not going to fail for skill level as much as forgetting your PNUMONICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EXAMPLE: Skin Assessment - SEPTIC M The student did not verbalize Edema or Moisture.... FAIL HOW TO PASS, EASY... When you do any Area of Care, YOU SAY EACH LETTER OF THE PNUMONIC. *******To give the CE confidence, say each letter to the patient. If you are speaking to the patient as a first day graduate nurse should during a PCS, you would say: Mr. so and so, now what I need to do is what we call a skin assessment. As a student nurse, I need to really verbalize some things. First it is important to check for any swelling, CHECKING FOR EDEMA. Looking for any PRESSURE SORES, and feeling the TEMPURATURE, it is warm, good. I am looking at the INTEGRITY of your skin. Your skin is in tact. Your COLOR looks great, nice and pink. And your skin is dry, no MOISTURE. EASY RIGHT? Hold on.... What did the Kardex say? It said specifically check ELBOWS AND ANKLES. So my grid will have on it under the Pneumonic SEPTIC M, ELBOWS AND ANKLES, HIGHLIGHTED. I said HIGHLIGHTED. Wait I will say it again, HIGHLIGHTED. If I would have checked skin assessment anywhere, like I did a thousand times at home, I would have failed. Do you think I forgot ELBOWS AND ANKLES? No, because I highlighted it in my grid from the Kardex. You see, I would not fail because I did not have the competence to know how to check SKIN. I would have failed because I did not state every letter of the Pneumonic, AND HIGHLIGHTED on my grid ELBOWS AND ANKLES. This advice goes for your whole grid. What do you think I put on the left margin of my grid next to MEDS?? Think hard, you guessed it... I put CHECK VITALS, ID, RECORD MAR. Was it highlighted? Of course. AND IT HAD A BOX NEXT TO THE WORD SO I HAD TO MARK THAT BEFORE I DID IT. Anything that I saw in the Kardex that required me to do that is not normally on my Grid, or I forgot many times during practice, I put down in an appropriate place and HIGHLIGHTED. If you are a person that forgets that the critical element is to not only feel for pulses, but to check cap refill, then write that in your AOC box and highlight it. ie. BILAT, or CAP REFILL. You will not forget. 3. Care plans, this made me most stressed out. I am not sure why. Probably because I never had done them. Don't make life so difficult, KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!!!!! ALWAYS PUT DOWN RISK FOR FALLS or INJURY. Safety, as Tina says is the first step on the Kardex. First day GN's better have their crap together and be safe, Right? Right So, if under 2 or over 65... Risk for Falls, R/t maturational age. If any PED use Risk for Injury, R/t developmental age. If any MED has any side effect of dizziness, narcotic, etc, use Risk for Falls, R/t Medication (narcotic, then name) You know the rest of the boxes. The other one practice using what Tina gives you related to the areas of care assigned. If you are like me and struggle with the Evaluation and Rationale, here is what helped me. I made sure I explained to the patient the interventions I chose: Ineffective Airway Clearance, Asthma; Maintain a patent airway and keep O2 saturation above 90% during PCS; Assess lung sounds; Keep HOB elevated to promote lung expansion So the intervention, Keep HOB elevated to promote lung expansion, I made sure I spoke to the patient about how this intervention works and increases O2 in the lungs. It will help them if having difficulty breathing. And next time at home if you are having a small episode, try this. I then repositioned the patient even if they were already in that position, and asked if they felt they could breathe better that way. Of course the patient said yes. I was leading the patient to say that, so I could use it in my evaluation phase. The CE ate this up, looked at me with great confidence, saw that I am going to be a good nurse and was more apt to guide me if needed. Do you get it? Now when it came time for the Evaluation phase, I can record the patient response: HOB elevated and patient states that she can breathe much better. O2 sat maintained above 90% during PCS. ACED that one. And you will too. Why am I taking the time to write so much of this for anyone? Because, I knew if I read these words and practiced this way, I would have been much more confident, comfortable taking this thing. This is the reality. It really is not that difficult to get on this page and pass with flying colors. In closing, I have one more secret to reveal. I know that UNTIL it comes to a final failure, (meaning, you will go home if you fail this part of the exam) you are held to the very "T" each and every critical element. When you are on a final PCS and you will go home, there is much more slack given to the student, unless the student is not a competent nurse. I witnessed it multiple times with those I tested with. The CA's are trained to have a much broader perspective if the student is in this position. So get yourself together, and follow these guidelines. I hope I have been of some assistance to you. God Bless, and go get it!! Mike

Thank you so much Tina and Sebastian for the great workshop. I passed my CPNE on my first try at Grady Memorial Hospital. There were 8 of us and I know at least 4 of them this was their second time. I know one thing they all had in common was that they didn't take your workshop. They took others that did not seem very informative. I told them about yours and to tell anyone else they know that is going through the CPNE to go to Tina's workshop in San Jose. Do not waste any money going elsewhere. All the information is provided by Tina. I kept hearing people taking several workshops and still not passing. That is not necessary. If a person takes Tina's class there is no reason not to pass if you study and practice. Practice, practice, practice. Know your mnemonics and use your grid. Period. You should feel very prepared if you listen to Tina. I passed every part of the clinical and got out of there. I was relieved. I was paranoid at first from all the horror stories but I would have to say once I got to the hospital I felt confident. I knew more than I needed too. So if anyone is getting ready to do the CPNE, and you want to be confident about your knowledge going in then go to Tina's
workshop. Period and end of story. God bless everyone.

Tina, thank you for providing such an informative and useful workshop. You provided information, incite and organization to what would otherwise be an impossible exam! I want to let everyone reading this to know that I passed the CPNE, first time around and with no repeats on the labs or the PCS's!! Forget about what you do on an everyday basis at work. (I have no hospital experience). Listen to Tina... she is giving you a step by step process to help you succeed the Excelsior College way! Excelsior College wants to see the exam done in a specific manner as outlined in the study guide, but Tina gives you mneumonics and tools to be efficient and effective at test time. I memorized the mneumonics and practiced everyday so that at test time it would go smoothly and I never spent the allotted 2.5hrs to perform the PCS's. This workshop is an intensive 5 day workshop where she covers EVERY facet of what is covered in the CPNE Excelsior study guide, but with answers to questions, easy to remember mneumonics for the assessments, step by step practice for labs and PCS's and explanations of how to write out care plans! Had I relied on the study guide alone, I never would have passed. Tina's workshop was instrumental to my success!!

I completed my CPNE on 10/4/09 at Utica, NY. Wonderful test site. Everyone was friendly, low stress. They were definately rooting for us. It was very stressful however, I was extremely well prepared thanks to Tina's CPNE prep course.I did everything from the labs to the patient care situations, excatly how Tina taught us, using her methods, mnemonics and grid. It went like clock-work. I was a first time go on everything (labs, PCS's) I felt very well prepared once I went into the patients rooms and started the assesments. I realized, I had all of the tools I needed to make it all work. This in turn, greatly reduced the anxiety level. I recommend everyone that reads this to make a commitment to succeed. Tina's CPNE prep course can give you the tools and the confidence you need. Money very well spent. Thank you Tina and Sebastian. You guys are awesome!

I WOULD HAVE MADE BY JUST READING THAT BIG BOOK AND THE DAY OF THE EXAM ABLE TO REMEMBER EVERYTHING THAT IS IN IT. YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND DO REALLY AN EXCELLENT JOB. I KNOW THAT DAY YOU HEAR THAT ONE OF YOUR STUDENTS DID NOT PASS THE CPNE EXAM THAT BREAKS YOUR HEART! ONE THING THOUGH YOUR PRAYS KEEP US THOSE WHO FAIL GOING AND BE SUCCESSFUL THE NEXT TIME! I passed my CPNE on August 14,2009 at Meriter Wisconsin!! I cannot thank Tina enough. I took Tina's workshop and I was successful on my first try. CPNE was very stressful but Tina prepares you quite well so if you control your nerves and just go and do what Tina taught you, you will PASS!! The lab Tina has set up in her classroom was exactly what I saw when I went to test and I did not have to repeat any of my labs. Tina teaches you all the critical elements you need to know, memorize them and practice them and you can't go wrong. I couldn't of done it without Tina's workshop. I cannot thank Tina and Sebastian enough. Now I'm preparing for my Boards!!! You can do it just believe it and don't give up!!

I never would have made it without the experience that Tina & Sebastian gave me at the workshop. After taking this intensive 5 day workshop you will have all the tools you need to pass the CPNE!! I absolutely can't say it enough...
Except, Thank you to God for pointing me to Tina's workshop it was worth every penny and is actually worth 10 times more than I paid. Tina & Sebastian you are a Blessing from God to all who attend your workshop. Thank-You both for being such loving and caring teachers!!!

YOU-CAN-DO-IT!!! I took the cpne twice.I realized that I needed lots of help after taking it the first time. Thank GOD I found tina's website. Her kind words on the phone gave me hope that someone understood what I was going thruogh. The instant I walked into that class room,I knew I was in the right place,I wish I had known about CHEducation before I took the test the first time.I was devastated, confused, embarrassed, humiliated, angry, and dissapointed. After some true self-evaluation I concluded that I was not prepared for the cpne the first time. Not because I didnt study hard enough, I didnt study efficiently(who knew?). I did know that I didnt want to go through another CPNE failure. Tina and Sebastian(husband) are very much aware of every aspect of the cpne journey. If you can pass their standards, you should have the tools to pass the cpne. The best advise I can give to you is to listen, and absorb every morsel of information they offer about the test(waste no time), this is the place to work on your weaknesses, and questions. You will be amazed on how much you will retain, and apply succussefully. My second CPNE was a success, without any repeat in the lab or the patient care situation. Please know that the CE's are there to test you(they dont know you enough to like or dislike you)they do not care who you are, they only care about your ability to pass the cpne requirements(nothing personel). Tina helps to prepare you on how to remain focussed on the task at hand with confidence.Memorize the information tina instructs for you to do, and rehearse the lab stations Sebastian teaches you. Tina's course was the best money I could have ever spent to get through this most difficult test. I am now a Registered Nurse(10/08/2009),I will always remember Tina ,and Sebastian as being a huge part of my successful nursing journey.Good luck. Thank you; Greg.

I am happy to report that I passed my CPNE November 13-15th 2009 at ST. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. I have to say that I owe my success to God above, my family and Tina and Sebastian. What Can I say about Tina's workshop other than It is worth 10 times the amount I paid her. Tina is truly the epitome of what an RN should be. I also owe some of my success to the friends (fellow students) I met while I was at Tina's workshop. They supported me and encouraged me even when I was falling apart and doubting that I could leave the workshop and travel to my CPNE destination and pass the exam. Tina, Sebastian and my fellow students beleived in me even emailing and calling me during and following days after the CPNE. Tina's workshop truly prepares you for the CPNE 100%. All of Tina's memonics are exactly what you need for all patient assessments as well as the areas needed for documentation. The CE at the site even commented on my "fabulous" Grid (the one Tina taught me). Tina's workshop is truly an "RN BOOT CAMP" but she devotes every minute to the success of the students, even at 7 months pregnant. When I entered into the workshop, in the first few hours, I knew I was in the right place. Tina and Sebastian are a blessing from God. Whatever sacrifices you have to make to get to the workshop, make them. It is sooooo worth the time and definetly the money. I thank God for allowing Tina, Sebastian, and Tina's students to come into my life during my preparation for the CPNE. The good news is, since passing CPNE, I have already secured a great paying job and good hours. I truly beleive without Tina's help, I could not have conquered the CPNE. I am a true beleiver and supporter of Tina and Sebastian's workshop. God Bless you Tina and Sebastian.

Anyone considering which workshop to consider I would suggest you look no further. Tina's workshop saved my life not to mentioned the risk of retaking the CPNE and pay more money. I passed the first time with minimal clinical experience. The support before and after my CPNE was amazing not to mention half of the group failed and two of us that passed where from Tinas workshop. The results speak for themselves.

Thank you Tina and Sebastian for all your help and training. I passed my CPNE at Gwinnett Hospital in Lawrenceville, Georgia on January 10, 2010. With your mneumonics, practice and care plan suggestions, I did not have any trouble passing. I kept my grid beside me and made sure every critical element was checked off. The preparations we went through during your workshop was all I needed to give me the confidence to do my best. Your workshop made the difference. I tried the CPNE once before and failed on the last day (I had trouble with the care plan and I forgot to document sensation on PVA. If I had attended your workshop last time - I would never have failed! Thank you and God Bless you and your family.

Greetings Nursing Students,
Testimonial: Tina's workshop is simply the best you will find anywhere. The class runs for five days and covers the CPNE from start to finish. Additionally it also address your nerves, your frame of mind and the need and value to advocate for yourself as a nursing student. Yes, the CPNE is something you can do, but Tina's workshop is what got me through it. I attended another workshop back east that was twice the price, class started at 8:00 and ended at 3:00. The overview was very basic and I was not prepared when I finished. Tina and her husband are truly dedicated to you the student, and the class fee covers far more than you may realize. Her expertise, compassion, wisdom, generosity and time are all part of the course. I would not be where I am today without her. John C. Lord RN, BS, MICP Experience: to be posted in detail shortly.

Please, be kind to yourself and take Tina's workshop , because it will save you many in a long run. I Failed my first CPNE , because I did not believe in workshops and even I win an appeal and before my second CPNE somebody recommended me Tina in California and I went from New Jersey on September 5 2009 and I Pass my CPNE on October 23-25 2009 and I Pass my NCLEX on January 22 2010 , just find out this morning my results. OMG!!!!!
BE a believer !!!!!! : do not be like me skeptical because I just lost my time . I was able to take CPNE in May 2008 : if I went to Tina 1 year earlier I was already made tons of money as RN. Money I pay to her was the best money I ever spend. It was like coming to my family: everybody was so loving and friendly and most important Tina know how to Pass CPNE she will teach very well. Sebastian is totally awesome too !!!!! Tina is not only super- smart but she is kind and noble person. Tina is not just teaching but she put all her heart and soul in what she does ! And special individual attention to every student. I get more in San Jose than I ever expected. Most important that she give her students such a confidence and full prepare so it is impossible not to Pass !!!!!!! Please, do yourself a favor and take a workshop ! Everybody I know, who Passed CPNE took a workshop, do not put your self in disadvantage!!!!!!! Love you Tina and Sebastian. If any qwe can e-mail me at Tukhachevska@Yahoo.com. Margarita RN.

I passed the cpne in Mansfield,Oh on Dec 11th. Mansfield is a great place to test. But you have got to know the stuff in your sleep. This is a hard test but you can do it.
I read the study guide over and over.I practiced my labs forever.. I used Tina's mnemonics and her workshop.. That is what the secret was. I want thank Tina and Sebastian for all the help. I really do own my success to the workshop.I tried 2 other workshops before I found out about Tina's.I wasted my Time and money. So please don't do any others but Tina's... It is all you need to Pass. I promise.. She gives you exactly what you need.... The price is well worth it...because she gives you so much extra.. Trust me.. If anyone has any questions about Mansfield you can email me at ebeene@cebridge.net or even call me.. 318-272-0620..You have to know the Critical Elements backwards and forwards and do what Tina teaches you. I will be glad to share anything that might help. I know the feeling and the stress. But the workshop lessons the stress because it prepares you... It's great... I loved it.and you will too... Good Luck to all.. You can do this.. Stay focused because it is easy to get off track and just mess up.. If you make a boo boo.. Just get over it and focus focus focus.. Go Saints....Super Bowl bound....Whooo Hooooooo

I highly recommend Tina's workshop. First you get the class and then you can always ask for help along the way. In my case I came several times afterwards to San Jose to practice the wound station and listening to it again. Tina and Sebastian never got tired of being there to help.
I took my CPNE in Madison, St. Mary's hospital. The CE's and the CA were great. At least 4 out of 6 passed and I believe one other person who was still testing when I left passed as well. The grid from Tina was extremely helpful. Adhering to it when you are drawing a blank because of nervousness gets you back on track. One more important thing is to practice, practice, practice after you leave TINA. Tina gives you all the tools and help, but the practice of PCS scenarios you have to do yourself.

Tina's workshop was just what I needed. I would have had no chance of passing had I not taking her workshop in November of 2009. I went into the workshop without a clue of how the CPNE really worked, and I left with the belief that now I could really pass the thing.
Sure enough, I took the CPNE in Albany in January 2010 and passed every station and patient with NO retakes. It wasn't even that difficult. I just implemented Tina's memory learning techniques and mnemonics and it all came together. Highly recommended, and worth EVERY penny! Thanks Tina (and Sebastian)! --Tom J.

Tina provided everything I needed for my CPNE. I am thankful that she takes the time to teach this workshop. I would not have been prepared for the CPNE without it. I have been a LVN since 1986 and thought I would be just fine with all my experience in nursing. That is not what the CPNE is about. You must be prepared for the way the examination is laid out and the nursing assesments, labs and nursing care plans. Tina prepares you for it all. Thank you Tina and God Bless you and your family. Tina's workshops works!
I tested in Atlanta Georgia and had a good experience with the folks there. I ended up passing with one PCS retake and I'm convinced that Tina's workshop was at the heart of my success. Before I went to Atlanta I made sure I knew Tina's recipe cold! Tina's pneumonics will make sure you don't miss anything and her grid technique will keep you on the right path. Go to the workshop. Learn the material. Practice the material and PASS! The one time I strayed off Tina's technique was the one PCS I had to redo. Can't recommend this prep seminar enough. Thanks Tina for the help.

I passed my CPNE in March 21, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison WI. I passed all the labs and PCS's without any repeats that weekend! Tina will give you a solid foundation to build on. Make sure you know your mneumonics don't rush into the CPNE until you are ready. It takes time to prepare. I recommend doing your workshop before you have a CPNE date. Tina's skill stations are just like the CPNE! Best of luck to you!

As I have recently been reflecting on the events of the past year I would like to offer my deepest thanks and gratitude to Tina, and Sebastian. As much as I wanted to finish my degree in nursing, the CPNE seemed like a huge obstacle. Each day when I tried studying and preparing for the CPNE I finished feeling more and more insecure and unprepared. Then, luckily I found Tina's workshop and attended in April 2009. What can I say, it was a huge confidence builder, and gave me the direction I needed to study. Practicing the lab stations and Tina's discussions about the whole testing weekend process, was so beneficial, I can not imagine going into the CPNE without this valuble information. I took the workshop experience home and continued practicing labs and documentation. I passed the CPNE in July 2009 in Lubbock, TX with no repeats. It was a very stressful weekend, but I know that the confidence I had from attending the workshop helped me manage the stress and be successful. I would strongly recommend attending this workshop to anyone who will be taking the CPNE. Tina and Sebastian are amazing teachers, and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to meet them.
With much thanks and Appreciation, Michelle Von Hoene

Before anything I would like to thank Tina and Sebastian for all of their hard work, for giving me the knowledge and strength to pass this monster of an exam, and just really being there for me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I am blessed to have you in my life. What I can tell the rest of you is that yes this exam is really hard but you can definately do it. Tina and Sebastian give you all the info you need to pass the CPNE but it is up to you to take the knowledge and info that they have given to you and practice! Really practice, practice, practice! Practice you're labs, care plans, pcs's, and documentation everyday and time yourself. The other thing is to keep your nerves under control. It is easier said than done but try because the more confident you are the more the CE'S AND CA will help you. I took my exam in Lubbock,Tx of March 2010 and the CE'S AND CA were very nice and they wanted you to pass. The hospital was very nice and yes they do have a peds section. Anyway I hope everyone passes and with prayers, studying hard, and the help of Tina and Sebastian I know you can do it!! God Bless everyone!!!

I could not thank Tina enough...CHE workshop helped me pass CPNE on April 11th at Milwaukee, WI. I took her workshop twicw just to be sure I pass CPNE on the first time...and it worked!!!Tina is the best teacher and she is friendly and very supportive. I am glad I attended her workshop. Actualy, during my last PCS, my mind went blank during writting nursing diagnosis for DVT. Then Tina's words came to my mind..."if you could not come up with a suitable check the index and find out in front of the diagnosis book where a listy of nursing diagnosis that apply a particular condition..." Without her I would have been lost. Thanks Tina!

I took the CPNE in Madison, Wisconsin on May 21-23 2010. I passed with no repeats and I owe it all to Tina and Sebastian's workshop. They provide all the information for the skills stations and all the critical elements needed to pass the PCS's. You have to learn the pneumonics and it falls together. Don't complicate the nursing diagnosis' and interventions. Everyone in my group (five of us) passed with only one person having to repeat a PCS. Again, I would like to thank Tina and Sebastian for all of their hard work and sacrifices with their family to make it possible for all of us to become RN's.

I could not have passed the CPNE without Tina's and Sebastian's workshop. This was my second time taking the CPNE, the first time I took it in Plano, TX. I did not attend a workshop before I went. If you attend the workshop and remember you mnemonics along with the grid you are going to pass. This workshop gives you confidence and you get the hands on like you are actually doing you CPNE. Thank you both for providing such a wonderful experience.

I recently passed CPNE in Madison Wisconsin, St. Mary’s Hospital. I absolutely could not have possibly done it without the help of Tina and Sebastian’s workshop. It offers utterly everything that you need to know to pass CPNE. The class is extremely intense so you’ll need to be mentally prepared to absorb everything presented. The material includes care plans, patient practice, and lab simulations, the result being that that when you take CPNE, you’ll feel a sense of confidence that will give you the extra edge that you need to pass. Even after I complete the class, Tina was so kind to answer my emails and phone calls to resolve items that I felt needed clarification. At nighttime when I was at the hotel in Madison, Tina was waiting for my phone call to give me moral support and to reassure my knowledge. Tina and Sebastian really care about their students in a way that you feel like you have an extended family. Beyond the technical aspects of the material that is presented, I am touched by the experience of taking the class and am forever indebted to Tina and Sebastian for getting me through CPNE.

Tina's workshop was awesome! It is, by far the workshop that covers the most information. It really gave me a heads-up on what to expect going in to the weekend. I highly recommend Milwaukee for testing. The staff were all helpful, and wanted the students to do well. The CA is really the student's advocate. 4/6 students passed when I was there; Three of us with no repeats.

I tested May 7-9, 2010 in Utica, NY.
My first patient was 69y.o. female dx with Cellulitis BLE, CHF, and a Hx of blood clots. I was assigned meds including a Lovenox inj sq., Lung sound, PV assessment LE's, Comfort care, I & O. Everything was going well until I go to the meds, I checked the meds against the MAR, Checked to patients ID band when I got back to the room for the first med, now mind you I am giving a total of 5 med. incl. the Lovenox inj. After I gave the first med. I poured the 2nd med in the cup and was getting ready to give that med without checking for 2 ID's, I had the med almost in the pts. hand when I felt the instructor move behind me, I immediately grabbed the cup back and reached for her arm band, at which time the instructor said Beverly you almost gave me a Heart Attack. We all laughed and I proceeded to give the rest of my med. Everything was going so smoothly until I realized that I had 20 mins. left for this pt. I was sweatiing and the instructor could see it. When I left the room to go back to do my charting, it's now 5mins left for this PCA. The instructors stated let me go and talk to your CA. She came back and said you have 20 mins. to complete all your charting. I know half of my writing was almost illegible, but I finished and PASSED my 1st PCA. The instructor didn't have to give me extra time but she did. She also stated you can be my nurse anytime. So the CA will try to help you pass.

PLEEEEEAASE READ!!!
I do not know how to begin to emphasize over and over the NEED to take Tina's workshop. I've always been an over analyzer and a skeptic at the same time, doing a lot of research before I buy any product and read consumer reports and blogs. It has enabled me to save some money and make informed decisions. That's how I found Tina. I didn't prepare for the CPNE for a long time but I did read the guide book cover to cover. I did not feel secure in my knowledge after reading it and I especially did not have the confidence to face the CPNE without some kind of workshop. I was very close to taking Excelsior's Workshop that was being offered a few hrs. away from my house. Since I didn't want to be away from my family repeatedly, I needed to make a decision as to which workshop I'd attend. In my research I found many other sources with information about the CPNE but I still felt I needed a boost in my confidence. I went with my gut feeling and all the positive reviews. It was a long drive from San Diego to San Jose but I decided to go for it. Boy am I glad I did! Again, I don't know how to tell you how much you NEED to do this in order to succeed in the CPNE. Therefore I will URGE you to do it! Tina will prepare you from the view of the most stringent Clinical Evaluator. She will help you mentally prepare for all the unexpected events that you may encounter. She has endless knowledge and UP to DATE information. She genuinely CARES about your success and that is something that you will sense right away. Plus she has a great sense of humor and makes the class fun. What more do you want?? PLEASE do not spend hours (like I did) buying and reading and getting misinformed or under-informed elsewhere. You will waste your time, energy and money and suffer from mental anguish. You may think that you are studying diligently but it may be outdated information! Also Tina 's class room is laid out just like the set up you will find at your actual CPNE lab simulation. I took the CPNE and I was met with all the unexpected situations that Tina warned us about. But guess what? I was ready! I breezed through the lab sims with minutes to spare and I KNOW those CE's were impressed! I passed all my PCS's with no repeats and Sunday morning when I was done and ready to leave the hospital, I overheard the CE's telling the CA how impressed they were by me. Enough said......I will not even dare take credit for my success because anyone can study the guide book and practice for hours on end (the wrong way). I will say one last thing..If you want to pass the CPNE the FIRST time, Go to Tina's workshop!

Just found out that I passed the NCLEX (with 75 questions)! I could not have gotten through Excelsior and the CPNE if it were not for Tina and Sebastian's workshop. Even as an LVN who is an LVN instructor, I can say that I was totally unprepared before the workshop, but gained the confidence and knowledge when I was going through it. I would totally recommend this workshop to ANYBODY who is interested in ensuring that they pass the CPNE, and pass it the FIRST TIME! The small amount of money is well worth it, and Tina and Sebastian are very friendly, well versed, and prepared. Everything was meticulously prepared and presented. Thanks!!!!!

Thank you Lord Jesus for these wonderful people. I attended Tina and Sebastian's workshop the first week of April and tested April 23-25 and passed. I wanted to do
all I could to pass so before taking T/S workshop I attend an Excelsior workshop. It was like day and night. I friend took T/S workshop 2 week before I did and passed on her first attempt. That was all I needed to know. After taking the EC workshop I still felt lost and had no clue where to start or go from that point. The EC workshop did very little for me. THANK YOU GOD FOR TINA AND SEBASTIAN. After taking their workshop I felt ready to beat the beast that is CPNE. They treat you like family. If you don't know some expect to do it again and again until you have it right. They have eagle eye's when it comes to the labs they see every air bubble and every red area uncovered on the wound. Their setup is just like the real thing. Only with them I wasn't shaking like a leaf. If you want to pass the CPNE on the first time save yourself some money, time, and pain and go to Tina and Sebastian first. If it wasn't for T/S I would not have been ready or should I say armed for the test. So with that I would like to say THANKS AGAIN to Tina and Sebastian you are doing a great job and keep up the good work. GOD has given them a gift. Some people take a life time to find the area they are gifted in, but these two have the gift of teaching the CPNE area's of care in a way that you can understand. I Love you guys. I will never forget you. Thanks again for everything. I'm so glad that the Lord placed you in my life. Now the only thing you need is a workshop for the NCLEX exam Debra

What can I say? I passed on August 15th, 2010 in Madison, Wisconsin at Meriter hospital. I would not have known where to start or how to start preparing without Tina and Sebastian. Tina cover's any scenario that you could possibly encounter during your CPNE weekend. I had to repeat one lab and the silly mistake I made was something that Tina had addressed in class. If you just listen and apply everything Tina covers in class, you can't go wrong during the exam. Thank you Tina and Sebastian.

I took Tina's and Sebastian's workshop in March, and my CPNE at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany on the weekend of June 24th. Work and life ate in to study time and I ended up with just one month of focused study and practice. I learned all the mnemonics and said them out loud on my walks at 5.30AM daily before work. I ran through PCS scenarios in the same way. I'm sure I looked and sounded psychotic, but I was the sole trail walker at that ungodly hour, my favorite time of day. I used the materials that Tina provided exclusively and threw out the study guide from Exelsior, too daunting. At the beginning of the workshop I thought the enormity of all I had to learn was overwhelming, but quickly realized that Tina was going to get us through it all, and she did. We had lots of laughs along the way. Tina and Sebastian kept us well fed and hydrated and took time from their family to taxi us back and forth to hotels and classroom morning and late evening. They are generous to a fault. Tina teaches with an easy-going accessible style with plenty of time to address questions or concerns. Sebastian's patience going through the steps at Lab stations is unparalelled. I have limited clinical experience but felt confident and prepared for the exam with all I had learned at the workshop. I had to defend one of my careplans and did so successfully at the 11th hour, you'll learn how to do that too! I travelled from the East Coast and can honestly say that the workshop would be a steal at twice the price! If you are preparing for CPNE, checking out different workshops.....stop.....book a flight to San Jose, put yourself in Tina and Sebastian's hands. I can assure you that you will be glad you did!! I know I am!

I have been an LVN for 6 years working in acute care, BUT, I would not have been able to pass the exam without Tina's class. I had attended the Excelsior workshop, and purchased another course from the net, but neither compared to the excellence that Tina & Sabastian provide. Tina's workshop was the best. I was an LVN for 10 years by the time I took the CPNE. I went to Excelsior's workshop in San Diego and they had us practicing on each other in chairs in a hotel conference room. Tina has the entire set up to really get the idea of whats expected. I NEVER would have passed without Tina. I am now an emergency room RN in southern California for 3 years now. We had LONG days with Tina but if you break down the money by hour and all the little extras it was WAY worth it. I passed the CPNE in Amarillo, TX without any fails. Thanks again TINA.

It's been over a week since I returned home from Milwaukee WI, and I can't believe I passed at St. Josephs Hospital. So much preparation and then it is over! Thank GOD I will never do the CPNE again! Its a relief! I owe so much to Tina and Sebastian, I attended Tina's class July 4, 2010 week and tested in Lubbock Tx about 3 weeks later was not successful at first attempt but I knew I had learned so much in Tina's class I had to continue so I submitted another application and took quickest date they offered and to make a short story long... Success in Milwaukee!! Tina was the second person I called to tell her I passed(first was my boyfriend who was back at the hotel pacing the floor like an expecting father, I was giving him the play by play and last he heard was "my paperwork is in about 15 minutes for verdict") I remember telling her that so much of what
she taught in class stayed with me and I just did what she said! I also remember thinking I am so glad I found Tina's workshop! Sondra Gomez GN

To tell the truth I failed my CPNE 2 times, then I thought I need to do something about it. CPNE CLASS from Excelsior college did not help me. I googled for classes to help me pass my CPNE. This was my last time, so I found Tina and Sebastian's class in San Jose. This class was intense. It lasted for one week, ten hours a day. Tina is the best teacher ever as well as her husband. He is the best with wound packing and injections. You can practice as much as you can. This class gave me self confidence and it gave me the faith which I needed to pass the CPNE and I did! I passed in August 2010 and now I am studying for my NCLEX! Thanks to Tina and Sebastian!

First a little background, I am a veteran paramedic with over a decade of experience. I am board certified in critical care/flight and have worked in all types of settings including ED, ICU, Med/Surg, lifeflight and 911. I went through the nursing curriculum very quickly and with excellent grades.
But e CPNE is a wole different ball game. You must prepared. And the only way to prepare is with Tina and Sebastians worksshop. I took excelsiors 2 day prep course and felt confident only to be unsuccessful. I didn't think this was a passable exam for someone kinda of set in their ways. A year later, I finally decided to try it again....and by the grace of god found Tina's review a course. Tina fostered a wonderful environment not only learn, but practice. After Tinas review I couldn't understand how in the world I had managed to make this process as scary as it had become to me. Not only did Tina help me to pass the CPNE....her course made me a better nurse!

This is the best CPNE workshop that you will ever find or attend. Not only is Tina there to help you during the workshop, she's there after the workshop too answer any questions and most importantly she there durng the CPNE exam also. I called her before and after each test day and she took time to help me get ready for the next day. The actual review was excellent, we had lots, and lots of practical stations- which is very important in passing the cpne. Tina have the knowledge and experience to almost garantee passing the cpne. I have little experience in a hospital setting but with Tina's review I was able to not only pass and had no repeats, but felt extreamly confident before the cpne. Tina prepares you for everything you need to know for the cpne exam. Try her review and I will assure you that you would not regret it. Good Luck.

This is what I want all excelsior students who still have to take the CPNE to know: Do not think that the CPNE is just only an easy 3-days test, because it's not; so please, do not take it lightly. When I was getting ready to take my CPNE, many of my friends have attended more then 2 CPNE workshops; One of my friend attented an Excelsior College CPNE, Came back and told me:"Do not go there, It's a waste of time". I started to pray and asked GOD for direction. I then found Tina and Sebastien's CPNE's workshop In San Jose, CA.; in my hearth, I felt that I had to go there. I attended Tina's workshop July 4th,2010, let me tell you, the very first day, I thought:"It's possible to pass the first time with this workshop" and I was right. I took my actual CPNE in Madison, Wisconsin 10/8/10 to 10/10/10; by the grace of God, I passed the first time. On Friday night, I passed all my simulation labs, with no repeat. On saturday, one girl had to go home, because during her repeat IVpush, she touched the plunger; although she was repeating the CPNE, She still had to go home, devastated. The CPNE is not a joke, it's very intense. Tina's workshop worked for me; It gave me confidence in myself during the CPNE, and also, for your charting, you can take everything, including careplans from the book tina gives in class.I'am not even talking about the way Tina and Sebatien's fed and taxied us around. At the end of the class, Tina prayed for us; The spirit of the living God was there. Tina was a source of comfort for me during my CPNE, She told me to call her with all my questions, and i did; Thankyou Tina and Sebatien, Your classroom (simulation labs) looks exactly like excelsior's but, yours is bigger. you guys are good: Hats OFF!

Hi. I was one of Tina's students in 2005! I took th "official" workshop by EC, and Tina's. Tina's workshop was WAY worth so much more. It was a more intensive, thorough an precise. I learned things that I STILL hear when at work as an R.N. It not only prepared me for the CPNE, but gave me good habits that helped me as I worked in Med/Surg, Pediatrics, orthopedics, Pain Clinic, working with interventional radiologists doing conscious sedation,Home Medical Nursing (which is far more of a learning curve than people dream), Chemo nurse, (now considering WCCN,and/or ICU,o dialysis) and some E.R. You will know your money is well invested with Tina's class. She is a tireless teacher, very positive and do what she says and you can't go wrong. She backs up her teaching and is there for you when you need her the most. The best money you ever spent. Tricia Johnson R.N. going on 6 years

I was saddened by the news that Tina's CPNE workshop will be ending soon. I couldn't thank Sebastian & Tina enough for helping me & a lot of students prepare for the CPNE. The class is extremely extensive (as in super extremely!!!)which includes even the simplest details on what to put in your pocket, what pencil to use etc etc. As minor & as funny as it may sound, those minor details are majorly important because that could contribute to making or breaking the test (e.g. dropping and then picking up an 'expensive' pencil while doing pcs's is an infection control issue). I took and passed the CPNE in Madison, WI in Nov. 2007, went to Tina's 2x (June & Nov. 2007) prior to the test, passed the NCLEX in March 2008 and has been working at a telemetry unit in a hospital and in a nursing home since. It has been a long way since passing the CPNE and I credit much of my success to Sebastian & Tina who are angels in disguise. I will forever be thankful for your efforts and kindness. Good luck!!!!
