My name is Franny and I'm a 16 year old Pagan. I've been studying it for almost 3 years now and take it very very seriously. I also call myself Wiccan, wether or not that is correct is beyond me. I do however follow my own view of the faith, and soon enough I was hit across the face sevral times because of it. I was on an online forum where there were tons of Trads accusing me of being a fluffy. I did cry, I tried over and over to create peace and I must admit I did become rather well, "harsh" but I couldn't help it. What I had been practising was suddenly so wrong? I gave into thier claims, but soon came back. I just didn't understand how they could call me a fake Wiccan when I prayed to the Goddess every night to watch over my family and loved ones, when I celebrated the Sabbats with my close Pagan friends. Then again I have to take in account that I am a teenager and most adult Pagan's roll thier eyes at me, because they either don't take me seriously and because there is a scary trend out there with the teenagers using Wicca as a fashion. I'm also looking forward to whenever you have time to repair the dead links, and especially looking forward to reading the "Cauldron Bottom" list. I'm another who had my initial spark furthered by Cunningham's books and Llewellyn's site, but all that only goes ankle-deep. Kind of wish the christian ranters would just realize that their all-caps fire and brimstone doesn't scare people, but sounds rather silly to people who know there's no such thing. I probably have no right to ask this of you, but I appreciate your writing a great deal and consider your site a wonderful resource. Anyway, **please update!!!** Your essay Green Witchcraft II has not been available for quite some time, please fix the link to that essay, it was wonderful! I do not mean to be rude by requesting this of you (and, of course, you are not bound to honor the request), I just really enjoy your essays.
As a side note to the individual (or individuals) who has a habit of signing this guestbook in all caps with messages that are undeniably disrespectful: if you insist on typing in all caps, you should pay extra attention to your grammar! In addition, as a Pagan myself, I am unconvinced by your argument and rather put off by it. If you intend on persuading Pagans to convert to your particular denomination of Christianity, declaring that we are worshipping Satan and making otherwise degrading comments about our religion will not help your cause. |

highly of the author's intelligence. You have not been caught up in all the "trimmings" of Wicca, but go to the heart of the religion. I often feel my time is wasted by looking at sites that all seem to be carbon-copies of each other in the information department and have heavy doses of sacchrine on every issue. It would be wonderful if these web-authors write a little more about what they really think and not what they believe they "should" think as far as Wicca is concerned (or other, wider issues for that matter). Hello. I am Dark Trista. I would like to say a little something in response to your Christian piece of spam. 1.) I agree with you in the fact that being the first day of listing, he/she/it must have been SEARCHING for a site to spam. 2.) As an enlightened, Baptist, peace-loving, 16 year old Irish-German-American girl, I want to give you a little perspective. I have lived my entire life as a Baptist, child of God, and all that good stuff. Recently, I was taken out of the shell that is Christain school, and placed into a public one. I was bombarded with Pagans, Wiccans, Jewish-ppl, and many other denominations which I had not been formerly associated with. To tell you the truth? This did WONDERS for me. Yet, at the same time, I modified them. I believe that God is no longer male nor female, and in that sense, is both. For, if man was made in God's image, as is stated in the Bible, why wouldn't God look like both at the same time? Also, I have determined that God is bi-polar.
