Music listened to in past 24 hours: Mayhem - A Grand Declaration of War: Outstanding concept album from Norway's finest. Their bassist killed their guitarist, their singer killed himself and yet the band plays on... Mr. Bungle - (self titled) Mike Patton is a god. A very strange noisy god. Few albums have obtained such comic weirdness. Misc. odd ethnic stuff: I like Croatian bagpipes and Mongolian (actually Tuvan) throat-singing. So sue me. Carcass - Necrotisisim-Descanting the Insalubrious: Guitar work just as complex as the Med-School lyrics. Long live grindcore. Verdi - Requiem: That Dies Irae chorus can beat the crap out of Mozart's Dies Irae any day. Crass - The Feeding of the 5000 Possibly the angriest album of all time. The spoken word tracks alone guarantee you won't find it in Wal-Mart, despite it's classic status. Ack. I've only had 2 hours sleep, what the hell am I still doing up? Well, your fan base isn't dead yet, not while I'm still experiencing existence! I'm very glad to hear that you've got a new site coming up sometime soon, if I ever stop being so lazy I might be able to say the same thing... Anyway, life has given you enough shit to deal with already, so I won't talk about the depressing stuff...so here's today's fun: Re-painting my pants (If I wasn't so poor I'd stop using acrylics and buy some real fabric paint.) Decided it was high time that Richard Hell got a prominent placement somewhere on the trousers, he currently resides to the left of Sham69 and beneath The Damned. Must re-paint Dead Kennedys logo tomorrow. Probably will add one for the DotH-Thicketts soon. Homemade Crass pin now on braces (note to self: smack next person who thinks I mean dental braces) After careful polishing of boots, realized that I don't own enough brightly colored socks. Everyone should have at least THAT going for them. Decided that before I went to the store to get blank video tape I should try out the moustache wax I got for christmas. I now look like the love child of Salvador Dali and Johnny Rotten. Purchase tape, return home. Unwrap tape packaging and find that I've purchased what was probably the only broken tape in the whole store- plastic was busted and fractured, but it's too late to return it, as the movie comes on in five minutes. Other that broken casing, tape looks like it might work, so I stick it in the VCR and record The Filth And The Fury, one of the few good documentaries on the Sex Pistols that was ever made. After all this I realize that I was recording at the wrong VCR speed, so the quality is awful and there's 4 hours of blank tape after it. Went online and found out (pretty damn late, I might add) that the former guitarist for The Cramps,Bryan Gregory,died. Why can't members of bands that suck die more often? People like Joey Ramone, and Chuck Schuldiner kick off right and left but I have this hideous feeling that Britney Spears will live to be 100. Ach, such is life. Fuck, there went my plan of staying upbeat... Anyway I hope things are going better for you than they were at the last update, perhaps when the Corner rises from the ashes it will be even better than before- "Leah's Überloathsome corner" shall dominate the web!
