I already have many miles of roads GPS'd but have many more to do. Am using my dualsport (XR650L Honda) to track the roads. There are many miles of roads which we could lose due to this action and another pending issue by the Senator. She is willing to work with us, but we need clear info from on the ground to present to her representatives.

Comments:My current ride is an 08-DRZ400 that I used this summer on a Dual Sport ride (mostly off-road & trail) from Mexico to Canada . . . see www.mex2can.com. The bike was a little anemic for the trip so I upgraded suspension (springs and valving), desert tank, jetting, bars, pipe, bash plate, high intensity bulb, rear light, fender racks, gearing, Dunlops, GPS, roll chart holder, etc., etc. Probably should have gone for the KTM (after all the $$ for upgrades) and that 6th gear would have been nice for those long, open gravel roads, playas, etc.

My brother and I are working on organizin a Trans American Trail (east/west) trip this year since we did the north/south thing last year . . . 1st half in May with 2nd half in August due to time/work constraints. If anyone is interested let me know. We tentatively have a commitment for a driver and support truck to haul tools, gear, parts, etc.

If ever you are out my way in SoCA drop an email . . . let's ride!

Comments:I'm just recently back into riding after a few decades of not riding.
I have a klr 650 and full gear to ride in any weather.
I prefer hard trails, but my klr prefers dirt roads and fairly easy going trails. ( a two stroke it is not.)
I have a number of digital cameras to take pics along the way.
I'm looking for someone to ride with. either localy or taking road trips of hundreds of miles. it matters not to me if you are a novice or an expert with a bunch of trophys as long as we have fun.
I live between binghampton ny, monticello ny and scranton pa. I live in the country with plenty of dirt roads and some back trails.
I grew up riding a two stroke enduro. I have riden that bike in almost everything that this country could throw at it from the mountains and streams of the north east to the back woods swamps of florida to the desert of the south west. I rode that bike even in the worst snow storms.
I know that my new klr will never be able to do what that old two stroke did, but it does do the interstate easier.
Any way. is there anyone near me that wants to ride?
