| Comments: | As a reply to Gundam Berserker, I believe the 1x2/2x1 pairing is as valid as 3x4/4x3 (or 1xR, 2xH). There is a chemistry between Duo and Heero, stemming from the very first time the two meet. It's not explicit--Gundam Wing is not a romance--but writers can dream...and write what they believe *could* happen if circumstances were different. (An example would the AU 1x5 mentioned previously.) The same is true with Trowa and Quatre; Heero and Relena; Duo and Hilde.
I believe more in the 1x2 pairing than 1xR and 2xH. If one thinks about it, if either Heero or Duo was a girl, then of *course* more fans would credit them to be "together." In my opinion, the fact that Relena and Hilde are the only girls that recur facing Heero and Duo is the only reason fans pair them up. Also, I severely dislike Relena. She didn't make a very good first impression on me: she seemed too pink, spoiled, hypocritical, a bit ditzy, and more than a bit obssessed. In the series, it *is* implied that Heero and Relena could be together (to the djka and fanfic writers); but really--just turn Duo into a girl and *see* how much more fans prefer him over Relena. Anyway. ^^; |

Unlike some of you people, I go by what's implied in the actual Gundam Wing series, and not just some yaoi pairings that I think would be cool or funny or whatever. (Altough, I did think up a really funny story idea. It goes like this: Wufei falls in a cursed spring in China and when he's splashed with cold water, he turns into a cute red-headed girl. Then Heero falls in love with him and...well, then it gets REALLY interesting.) |

AND THE ONLY REASON I SAY THAT IS BECAUSE THERE'S TOO MUCH IMPLIED STUFF GOING ON BETWEEN THEM DURING THE ACTUAL SERIES ITSELF FOR THEM NOT TO BE!!
