| Comments: | I really think you have a lot of talent and like your site. Please do not take offense, but if I may offer a suggestion, I think if you concentrate more on the sections of the light and dark Shadows and less on the objects your pictures would hold together better. A few of your pictures,(one of a waterlily) are really working well. Check out some work done by Maurice Denis, Marc Chagall,Francis Picabia, Georgie O'keefe,Toulouse-Lautrec, and some of Picasso's works, especially "self-Portrait", Edourd Manet. I hope I spelled these correctly. Look at the way they handle the subject matter and how the shapes of light , medium and dark tones, relate to the overeall effect of the painting.In essence, they treat each area of the overall image as a design of contrast between light,medium, and dark tones. The images are still fairly realistic, which seems to appeal to you, but are in reality, just a portion of the whole piece. I really enjoyed your site.
