We were just recently in Leon and realized the cemetery is way to large to walk and search. It was on a Saturday and am disapointed I didn't have time to go to the library and get the information I need. I live in Kansas and we have gotten great people to give their time and transcribe everyone in a cemetery...and the cemeteries leave a book with all the names and a map to show where to find your people. I will be back to search tho....my family on both my fathers maternal and paternal side are all up and down HWY 35 in Iowa and Missouri. Iowa has the most beautiful cemeteries. I have just returned from another trip from your lovely county. I am from around Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I have many relatives that were from around Decatur and surrounding counties. My family names include; Adams, Bartlett, Bowen, Daniels, Godfrey, McDaniel, Miner(Minor), and Wilkinson. All of the folks at each county courthouse, library (especially Creston's Librarian, funeral homes (Slade-O'Donnell) were very helpful.
