| Comments: | I've been alone (sometimes on purpose, sometimes not) since
the arrival of cancer and my surgery, and still have so far to go-and what will await for me at that time; they may have been too late. Sadness, yes, I cry, but not for me-for I know what I have - a gift to pass onto someone and let them share the wonders of my dreamings and my spirit. I turn to your site Bill, to find peace; through the tears slowly embracing the flesh on my face, a smile emerges for you truly can touch someone's soul and for that time, make them laugh, make them cry, read the words you put on paper that reach down to someone's soul. I find delight in Dream Girl and The Last Love Story. Such words I see on a screen and at this point in my journey, the tears from my face reach down and fall on my breasts, so warm and wanting to touch my soul. I cry away from others for I do not want them to know what I feel as it may frighten them. I am suppose to be strong, but being alone with myself and my soul, I feel that I can let those warm tears slowly reach down and fall upon my breasts, this is my time to think of the love I have and reach to my spiritual world to feel the embrace of pure love. My tears brushed aside as I was cradled with the love of all to try to be strong, but just to be held in the arms who were there for me; so those tears feel free to fall and let my spirit spill over and fall with them gently and become one. I have found so much peace and lovingly delight in your paintings and your poems; I am thankful and grateful to a spirit that perhaps knew I would find this peace and embracing delight through your expressions and thus guided me in a direction to find my spirit through you and your embracing talent to touch someone in many different ways. To you, Bill Murphy a.k.a. The Artist, my heartfelt and grateful thank you. I have felt blessed to have found such a person, a friend, and hope your expressions continue to bless many others. that's the way to go! Ward Brackett, author of When you Paint, wrote under the title Never be afraid to experiment: Audacity, if anything, could be the most important thing in painting. After the fundamentals have been learned, after tecknique, procedure, and style have become habit, then quite often a certain complacency sets in. This habit can make us lazy and easily satisfied, reluctant to tamper with a formula that has been good to us. The familiar is a lot more comfortable than the untried and the untested. The artist should never be afraid to experiment, to explore new paths, and occasionally to overreach himself. A fear of the unknown will stifle the creative spirit faster than anything else. So be rash-be reckless when you feel you are getting into a rut. Remember that Impressionism, Fauvism, Expressionism, and Abstractionism would be unknown had it not been for the audacity of these experimenters. J. By the way... where did you get that funny Spanish?? |
