| Comments: | brian mcloed was one of the best musicians ever, his knowledge of instruments was beyond of what most people knew. when he was in chilliwack he played keyboards, drums and guitar on there opus x album and wanna be a star, and produced with bill as well, he knew he wanted more of a rock band so he formed headpins with ab bryant, who also is a super bass player. brian wrote all the songs himself, and again played drums, guitar and keyboards. i am a drummer for 20yrs and his groove was just amazing, and his production was top notch. i am sure that he was the first guy to design drums mounted on pipes, the rack system was started with him, look at the back of chilliwack opus x album. i think he primary instrument was the keyboards. his drumming on the headpins albums was just what he wanted, i read that bernie did some stuff on line of fire, and brian went in and rerecorded what he wanted, this was his band and when he wanted something, he did it himself. i only would have dreamed to have met such a talented guy for real. too bad cancer got him. headpins just havent been the same without him, i would sure love to meet darby and ab someday, who knows. |
