| Comments: | Hello and thankyou for this webpage! My daughter had her second baby today, a couple of hours ago. Our sweet little Ryan has a cleft lip and cleft pallet. When I went online to read up on this, your website was the first one i clicked on. I just want you to know, your daughter and family are beautiful! I have printed out your progress pictures of Emmi to take to my daughter in the hospital. As you can imagine she and her husbands shock, and what they are feeling. I have told them to not "blame" anyone and we will all go through this together with the surgeries that lie ahead. Emmie has confirmed my optisism, and thank you both for sharing, and bringing the hope stronger. :) Bless you |

| Comments: | I will keep Emmie and the family in my prayers. I gave birth exactly two weeks ago to Logan John. He was born with a cleft lip (only on the left side) and pallet (the whole left side and only the soft pallet on the right side). The hospital that he was born in gave us a couple bottles to use. Basically the nipples are a little longer then regular size and we have to squeeze the bottle for him. They only gave us three which I am very thankful for but I decided to check on the internet and see what other types of bottles were out there that we could use... (as three bottle just isn't enough:) and I came across your web-site. I am a first time mom and even in the last two weeks it has been a struggle some days to feed Logan. I still get nervous that I'm squeezing the bottle too much, or not enough, or putting it too far into his mouth... and so on. But you said you were able to use the Playtex. Before Logan was born, of course, lots of friends and family gave us baby stuff. So we got lots of different bottles. Maybe I will just try some of the normal bottles out. I wasn't sure if he could use them because he can not suck very well at all (he can't use a pacifier). I'm glad I came across your web'site.
Thank you! Oh... by the way, you said Emmie was born on a Sunday!? So was Logan... he was born on March 20, 2005 (Palm Sunday)... and his due date was March 27, 2005 (Easter Sunday). |
