We all have such fond memories of our time in Benicia; these ladies were a large part of why we loved it so much! Their devotion to their students was incredible. | Comments: | Hi, Ive just recently been delving into my past when I started letter-writing to an old pal of mine in Benicia. I went to Joe Henderson from 1992-1995. I just came across the school site and I was looking for some teacher's e-mails. (Hi, I still remember you guys! As if I could forget, I really wish I could come and visit JH.) But I guess there aren't any on the site. I loved my years at Joe Henderson and even after I moved to another elementary school, I loved Joe Henderson better. Now, I'm just beginning high school here in southern California, and reflecting back on the happy memories at JH is wonderful. Special shoutouts to my former teachers, and nearly all of you are still working! Hi Mrs. Diaz, my Kindergarten teacher, hi Mrs. Anderson, my first grade teacher, (my second grade teacher doesn't work there anymore) and hi Mrs. Danksa, whom I had for the beginning of third grade before I moved. My brother went to JH for almost all 5 years, so here's a hello from him too. He's almost college-age now. I reemmber he had Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Fine, among others. I really hope I get to visit the lovely town of Benicia sometime in the future, and I'm glad to see that almost all of the teachers I knew are still there. I was just checking the site for Email addresses for Henderson staff and landed in the dreambook. I am amazed that there are entries from all over the world, many that are former students. Everyone has expressed what I know so very well--that Henderson is a great school! I feel priviledged that my children (my third, and last-Tori in Sarikakis' third grade) have had the opportunity to be exposed to such a positive and enriched learning environment. I also have benefited and learned as well, through my years as volunteer and Noon Aide at the school. If all of you are out there, I just want you to know that you all impacted my life in one way or another. I'm know 19 and now diving head first into adulthood, and man, is it scary.
