I have my grandfathers Major General flag and I would like to display it in someway, is it appropriate to put it in a triangluar flag case or not? I am not sure what to do with it otherwise, it is a shame not to display it. Please somebody e-mail me back.

Recently my father was laid to rest with full military honors. I was greatly impressed with the flag folding procedure. I have heard there is three spent cartridge casings in the flag. Is this a fact and if it is could you please explain the signifinance of it. I would think each casing would represent a round of seven shots in the total of 21.

I live in the State of Utah, and though I am not LDS, I don't critisize any religion. However, I was under the assumption that the US Flag was displayed for our Country, not religion, and our Flag's have been ordered by the State Governor to be flown at half-staff today for the death of Gordon B. Hinkley, an LDS president. I am trying to find out where to find out if it is against Flag etiquette to lower the Flag for a religious figure, especially when we lost 5 of our Military this morning in Iraq and that's not what the flag is being lowered for.

It breaks my heart when I can not count the number of cars and trucks I see with Mexican flags on Cinco de Mayo and then see two other trucks beside my own with American flags on the Fourth of July. To the best of my knowlege California is still part of the USA, not Mexico, not Asia, the United States of America.

It was a pleasure to visit this web site. I was looking for a list of the special days in which the American flag is flown. I need it for our immigrant neighbors, who keep the American flag outside all the time, in all kind of weathers, and it is already torn.
I went over the subjects of your web site and couldn't find such a list. Have I missed it?

By the way, the neighbors do it to express their loyalty to America and are ignorant of the rules about how to treat our flag. I have copied the chapter "Flag Etiquette" to educate them about it.
