I was fortunate enough to watch you perform a concert in downtown Dallas (nice rendition of your father's Helter Skelter by the way - I got chills!). I have felt your pain over the years struggled to get the support you deserved. More recently I've become very proud of your character and maturity as you've made forgiven and amends - a real positive influence and inspiration to a lot of people. Life is simply too short to stay angry and hold grudges - it's just not healthy. Anyway, I very much look forward to your next album and hope you have a long, productive, and successful career! A long, long, long, long time!!! Julian has always been a major inspiration in my life. Not because he is john lennon's son, but because he has some major raw talent. I have watched his career unfold and it makes me smile when I hear he is making it on his own.....I hope he decides to come to Australia soon. I read Cynthia's book (probably one of the first to read , as I knew of its release early in the piece)and this has to be one of the best books I have picked up in a long time,so if you haven't read it, please do. Laura MacPherson I've been a fan since... since I was about four or five My father, for all intents & purposes, was estranged by the time I was five yrs. old. Prior to that, he created annual records under "the Blue Angel Jazz Club" (BAJC)...We always had pretty famous musicians staying at our home, all of which were my "uncles"...so I felt a great emptiness without that "every day is musician day" Only within the last few years was I able to have "Humane conversations" without his veerbal abuse, or just plain old cruelty (in 2001, he struck his head, lost his short-term memory, so the year 2001 went on for him until his death on May 17,2007)-I attempted to research Ampex for the master tapes, because I knew he wasn't receiving any royalties, because his knowledge of music was mind-numbning, not to mention that his production costs took our family into the outer limits of destruction. Point being,I have inherited his musical love, but fall far beneath the strict standards of his musical standards. I've played the baby grand since three, took lessons for 12 yrs., but alas, I never really learned to match my ability to play with my ability to read &/or write, where me Da played piano, sax(he had 7 different kinds),guitar,bassoon, clarinette,trumpet, coronet,plus others I can't even think of right now. He could humm a tune(which he made up, & write it directly onto the music sheets...He arranged for many different bands-I used to hate jazz, because he crammed it down my throat, but later on, I fell in love with dixie-land jazz, & desparately wanted to take a trip with him to New Orleans( he went ther at least 2 x's a year, not to mention all the other countries/states that he never let his family get on board). He never stopped reminding us/me that money didn't grow on trees,he would show up maybe 1x/week, but always made us clean house, go to church, where hats, gloves, feet flat on the floor,even checked our lace stockings for holes, making me Mum fix on the spot. After a while I was scared stiff when he graced us with his occaisional visits 7 Inapropriate temper, so even though he re-married before his divorce went through, he always seemed "just". I loved him so dearly, he was my hero, then he became this person with whom I could only breathe after he was out of the house. As I reached adulthood, I was told how eary & strikingly I resembled him. I forgave him later rather than sooner, & regret not being able to have had more time with him- That's already TMI! I guess I always thought about Julian, because his Da was famous, & so was mine, plus we were only a year apart.(Me Da, of course, was never near as famous as Julian's Da was-My heart is so full for him- I wish he could know this & feel some kind of peace knowing the depths of my compassion9yeah-me & 30,000 other girls!) I just want to let him know how endearing he is, not just by me but all the other nut-jobs out there that feel his songs are written "just for us" Everyone needs to SMILE!!!! OXOXOXOXLULU; )

Since 1987 I became a Julian Lennon fan in 1987, after to see the 30th Disneyland Birthday, Julian singing Valotte & Too Late For Goodbyes, TLFG was in all charts in that period and being 1987 yet was the song of the moment and I was into party's of friends listening constantly etc. ALSO..... I stood knowing the beauty of the song Valotte enchanting myself with the part " SITTING ON A PEBBLE BY THE RIVER PLAYING GUITAR"... Color ? - Only one color for me "Ever"Green. I've have been a "Forever Fan" since my work in NYC in 1980's. In addition to working in family management for a "famous" singer I also worked with a PR Firm +Agent that was a friend of Mae Pang thru her husband's work for PBS PR. Mae would call Denise in our office almost everyday Julian was first in the studio recording parts of Valotte. We all would gather round the receiver to listen to the takes in the backround and get chills. I was "in love" immediately. (musically of course !) I also was aquainted with some of the ThrowDown guys from Southside Johnny who frequented NJ clubs with Julian's sax player at the time. But my mother was a 5th Beatle - so, Julian naturally became a psedo-part of the our musical family. So when I returned home to Ohio, I have been following his life and career ever since. Last time I saw him perform was @ a club called "Bogarts" in Cinci, Ohio. His talents, once removed from John's shawdow - was so much more than any accomplished talents I had seen in years. His band was "top of the crop." We've missed his music and his maturity, so long. We are also great fans of Kevin Gilbert and understand that loss was probably enough ...of the cruel world for quite awhile !!! You dad was obviously damaged as a child, abandoned by his father, and witnessing the death of his mother, getting caught up in the mania of our culture, and probably being a sensitive, but self-centered man. Perhaps you are lucky that you were raised by a seemingly stable and loving mother, and not sucked into the instability of your father's world. I know it is painful to have a parent neglect you--it may be more painful than a parent who abuses you. I have lived it myself and one never really gets over it, I think you learn to co-exist with it, and to find more rewarding people to be around in your own life. Hopefully you have good radar for judging character, or have learned to choose people carefully as you have gotten older. I obviously no nothing about your father, but superficially, it seems as though your father had finally found some measure of peace and love with the birth of Sean. I would suspect that had he lived, he might have seen the irony of plaintively crying for the mother who left him, and yet abandoned his own son. Since he was ready to be a parent when he had Sean, I can only hope that if there was time he would have realized how neglectful and inattentive he had been with you. Just before he died, it seems that his gaze was becoming more outward, looking to the needs of his new child, and hopefully that gaze would have eventually fallen upon you. There is no doubt that celebrities, whatever their charms, seem to be (in general) very self-centered, perhaps due to their own pain, and sensitivity. Perhaps, if there is some cosmic justice, and higher power, you will someday be blessed with some sort of rapprochment with your dad, or have the loving experience of becoming the father that your father was not. I hope that you heal and find peace and love in your life Bye-the-way, I saw you once in Tijuana at the Iguana club, it must have been in the 1980's and loved seeing you. Rita I found Hey Jules via.. looked up in google My favorite part is.. Salt Water I've been a fan since... since Salt Water I read a bit of Jule's biography in Wikipedia. I used to be a Beatles fan since I was nine years old, just then I heard the stories of John's son Julian, beeing just a couple of years younger then me. That fascinated me. Through the years I was very interested in little stories I kept hearing about him, later on I really kept appreciating his music, especially "salt water". Too bad Julian has never had the success he deserves. I do think he is very talented but he probably never had a good manager who believed in him. I was very sorry to hear he has had alcohol and drug abuse problems, and I really hope he found his way and happyness in life. Jules, you are good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been a fan since... for ever...brilliant and sweet Aloha and Thank You for the opportunity to sign this wonderful guest book. I had the privelage of presenting a film that Julian was associated with, named "The Gathering, The Return of the Whale Dreamers" he along with his mates, Kim kindersley and Pearce Bronson did together. I was so impressed as my history is that my father made super stars and I am honoring the "Unsung Hero's of Music and Film...etc. It was at the 2nd Annual Lake Tahoe/Reno International Film Festival for Films of Conscious change, that I was invited to open the film festival in a special ceremony as i am a whale ryder, and Julian and Kim's film was my first priority. My other history is that I was mentored and worked along side my husband, for Orson Welles for the last 20 or so years and Gary Graver was his name and Orson's DP eclusively. I would very much like to promote Julian and Kim's film as an Indigenous women and film maker at this years 14th annual Sedona Film Fetivaal...even if it is a mention and not official entry..it's about films of conscious change and feel that Julian's film is hugely significant to the global community and will be interviewed for my connections in the entertainment industry. Many years ago, i had another rare honor to work and assist hand made films for Dodi and George Harrison and i am so very proud of Julian for his own accomplishments.
