I spent most of my career at AAA National Office, loved it. I still teach economics at whatever college will have me, as an adjunct. Currently Strayer in Jacksonville.
I married Ken Bevan in 1969 (some of you may remember the "minor scandal" - I married a professor, but not mine.) We retired to St. Augustine, and love it. Ken left his law practice in 2004, and retired from Valencia Community College shortly after that. Now we just bum around and visit grandkids. We are thinking we will make it to the reunion. who else? |

Last I heard she was in the Florida Panhandle, and I was still in Miami as of 2000, but that was then, and now I'm in Central Florida. And to the friends and comrades no longer with us, I raise my favorite coffee mug, God Bless + Keep You in His Graces. Got out of service in 68, stuck around miami long enough to see The Doors, Joplin in a pasture, i think it was Confort She was drinking, got tear gassed by miami beach police thanks to Bonzos' costar, with Vets Aginst The WAR, shortly after that went to visit in Gainesvill on my way to Los Cruzes, N.M for school, then Lake Tahoe, to Chico + Paradise Ca, Reno, Nv to Tampa, back to Reno, now in Missippi. Missed Woodstock due to stop over in Va. Wish I would have made it there. Married to a Lady maned Pat, born on ST Pattys' Day been interesting, with some good + bad times. Anybody want to say HELLO, send it! Would like to hear from some of those good memories. Sorry if i bent your ear, but i'm not a lawyer or running for office + don't have a speech writer, and there's so much to say. Miss U Guyes!!! |

Mary Griffith and Tom Smith, are you out there? Welcom is in Winter Springs, Jim Powell on Kawai (65), Barb Powell in Colorado Springs; Roger Browning (65)in Atlanta, Bud Hulka (65)in Houston. Does anybody feel that you are floating out into space? Our class was big but the cirlces were small and basically there have been no roots in Hialeah for a long time.Therefore it sort of sucks to be from 1966 but the school was pretty cool back then. It educated a bunch of eligible draftees. Where were you when the man came? Everyone has a story. Grew up fast. RIP, Skip. |

| Comments: | Life has no dull moments. Oct 17, 2008 I became a grandmother to a baby girl that fills my heart with happiness and hope and I love being her grandma (nene)? The only bummer is that she lives in Dallas, TX with her parents and I live in Nashville, TN. But we manage to visit each other.
For years and years I had held my associate degree in dental hygiene and had a desire to have a bachelor degree. I return to school by going on line and finally have a bachelor degree in dental hygiene. It was more of a challenge than what I expected it to be but I did receive diploma. I have had the HHS website for quite awhile, but 1997 or 98 and always enjoy reading dreambook. Please keep the comments coming in. Brush and floss your teeth and keep smiling. |

| Comments: | It has been too many years since I have seen most of you. I moved to Gainesville in 1970, to Winston-Salem, NC in 1978 and to WV in 2008. The only classmates I have seen since then are Maureen Jarrell & Susan Lynch. I retired from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 08 and now work part time at WVU teaching students & residents. I am married to Allen Chauvenet, one of my medical school classmates and we have 2 children. Our son, Nicholas, went to UNC for undergrad and to Harvard for his Masters. He teaches high school math at a KIPP school. Our daughter, Chrisitina, graduated from Wake Forest undergrad and University of London for her masters. She begins working this week for the NGO Survival, which tries to increase the awareness and protection of inidgenous people.
My sister still lives in the Greater Miami area and I visit at least once yearly. I have had a very busy professional and family life until now but I finally have time to connect with my former friends. You are the people who befriended me when I transfered to HHS in my sophomore year & helped me with everything from learning to write essays (Patty Schultz) to learning the social rules of the US (Maureen Jarrell, Susan Day and many of our Anchor sisters). I am still grateful to Myler McGarry for taking me to the senior prom. I had to work many hours every week to maek the money I needed for college and lost contact with most of you. I have looked back over my years at HHS with great happiness and appreciation for the way you helped become an American. Please let me know if you are driving through West Virginia.
