| Comments: | A wonderful and helpful web site. Though I was not able to find the information I desired on an important and famous ancestor buried in Pioneer Cemetery in Nevada City. I find the city of Nevada City quite remiss/negligent in not restoring his grave marker as he is an important piece of Nevada City history. It is good though that he is honored in the Wells Fargo Museum in San Francisco. Perhaps with your influence this could be rectified. Thands for hearing my rant.
Best Wishes and Kindest Regards, Wil |

| Comments: | Thank you so much for your web site. My grandfather, Wilmar Harvey, is buried in Old Elm Ridge Cemetery, in Grass Valley. I visited his grave when I was a girl in about 1960, but now live out of state. I can't bring him flowers, but you've made it possible to see his grave. And think about my grandpa who died before I was born.
Again,thank you. |

Maupin(Phillips) was married to William Maupin a gold miner and they lived in Grass Valley in 1920. Just found this out via ancestry.com. I have joined the Tracy CA Genealogical Society. Again Great Work.

| Comments: | thank you for this wonderful website. My family were pioneers of Little York, Red Dog, etc. (1860-70's) (Valentine Curran who moved to Placerville after 1870). I've been looking for the burial place of his wife Mary Ann Stewart (stuart) born 1830 in Canada. I was hoping to find her here on your website, but haven't (yet)... but i enjoyed spending time searching your site and thinking about what life must have been like when they lived there. I live near oroville, so i hope to be able to visit the area sometime to see if more research produces any luck! again, thanks so much for all the time and work! |

| Comments: | We are volunteers for Find A Grave and have learned a lot from your website. We have taken photos of headstones for many families all around the US. There are still a few we have not been able to find, but will keep looking.
Today we encountered a headstone with a black "stain" on it in Masonic Cemetery. We tried water and a soft rag to no avail. Any ideas as to what it is and how to remove it. Keep up the valued work, |

| Comments: | Karen,
I am big into my genealogy and I am helping a friend to find some of her information. I leave in Joplin, Missouri and I also love to walk through cemeteries. My mother use to take me with her and it has always has been something I find peace in. I love reading the stone and wondering what happen in that person life. My friends great grandfather is buried somewhere in the Rough and Ready cemetery. We believe he is in a mass grave because he died in 1850 (there is a neat story behind that). But I stumbled on your web site and I just love it I can't wait to share it with my fellow cemetery walkers. You have done a great job and thank you for all the work you have done on helping people find there families graves. Even though I have no connection to your area it really touched me. |
