 I am a huge fan...you are the main reason that I watch baseball and I am SOOO happy that you are now with the Yankees as they are and have always been my favorite team. I just saw you on Centerstage and it was a great interview. I loved your candidness and honesty. It only reaffirmed my opinion of you as being a very "real" guy with a great sense of humor, values, style and class (and a KILLER smile!!!). I just LOVE to watch you play.

Your wife is a very lucky lady to have you by her side and your support. Any woman would be so lucky to have a man like you there for her. Hats off to you for the respect and loyality that you have for her.

I can't wait for the season to start again so I can continue to watch you take the Yankees where they should be. You are an amazing player (not to mention incredibly sexy).

 Gary, can you please excuse me while I address your wife for a moment:

Deleon, I've seen you on TBN and "Paula White Today" and never have you seemed like a woman with a so-called "past", or someone that ever backslid. I mean, for someone that knows Paula White so well you should take a page from her book and get off your high horse and talk about your sordid past and how with Jesus' help you overcame that dark time in your life (just like your mentor Pastor Paula does, and even your husband does). I feel like you have let so many people down with this scandal and it all could have been so easily diffused years ago by you telling the world that you were no "angel" instead of perpetrating in "Sports Illustrated", "The Sporting News", and countless other newspapers and magazines along with your husband that you were the EPITOME OF VIRTURE and the PARAGON OF VIRGINITY before you got married. What was the point of telling people that you wouldn't even let the man kiss or even hug you while dating? It was like you were bragging on how HOLY and CHASTE you were. Well, that apparently wasn't the whole story now was it.

Now this scandal comes out and your face is cracked, broken and on the ground. Your reputation is in the gutter. Your salvation is called into question, and non-believers REALLY continue to believe that old stereotype that christian girls are the biggest freaks - Gee, thanks a lot.

Deleon, your husband, and even your mama stood up and made statements (and Gary REALLY didn't have to). Now it's your turn!!! The congregation is waiting.... When you travel around the world as a representative for Christ, you have to be above reproach. If you have bones, videotapes, or any other skeletons getting extorted out of your closet, no one is going to hear or take your ministry seriously until you address those situations. For God's sake, Deleon, you are asking people to buy your new DVD, but honestly I don't think anybody wants to hear ANYTHING from you but an explanation! That is something I will pay $19.99 for! Just come clean about your past! No one is asking for names and dates and specific, lurid details; just be real that you weren't a virgin when you got married, and that somewhere in your past you fell off the track like a lot of teens do (no biggie), but eventually you got back on the track - Praise Jesus! People (born-agains as well as seculars) will respect that a whole lot more than your silence, and you could bring more people to Christ with your TRUE life testimony (especially young women). Deleon, please speak up, then we can all start to move on.
