Comments:Hello! Tallis is still fine and is getting his 'grown up' coat through. We are taking him to puppy classes now and he loves it, he doesn't seem at all put out that he is the smallest one there and will happily play with Rottweilers and Boxers. His favourite place is now Shibden Park, we have put a dog grille in the car and he likes driving out and about. Now the weather is a bit better he is enjoying the garden more - we have to watch him all the time as he keeps trying to climb through the hedge if the dog next door is also out! My mum visited us a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely to see the welcome Tallis gave her, he loves to meet a 'new person' and was all over her. My mum is a dog-lover, but when we take him 'down South' in the summer, I'm hoping he will convert my sister (a lifelong non-fan of dogs) as if any dog could, it would be him.
Best wishes from all of us.

Comments:Hi, we are glad to hear that you have moved and should have settled in by now.
Charlie "Heronbanks joys swansong" had his first birthday at the end of January, and has turned into a fine young man. We had a brief panick when he contracted Parvo virus and was very ill, but with tender love and care, a lot of bleach and fraught nerves he is back on form and all clear.
our bitch Sadie is in season now and almost ready, but Charlie is very impatient to prove his manhood, and she breathes a sigh of relief when they are separated, heres hoping it works, We will let you know if anything happens.
Hope everyone is well and happy in the new home.

Comments:Hello
Just to let you know that Tallis has settled in and seems very happy. He's very bright and learned to 'sit' for us in about five minutes! He can also 'come', 'lie down' and fetch his ball already. He was a bit disappointed by the cats at first, as our dominant cat hissed at him whenever he wanted to play (our other cat just ignored him) but now the boot is on the other foot as he's realised they run away from him if he chases, so we distract him with a toy when he tries to play with them and hopefully he'll eventually decide we're more fun to play with! He has grown quite a lot already, and his tail and legs are starting to feather out. We gave him his first bath last week which I think baffled him a bit, but he didn't seem to mind it. He's very loving and likes lots of cuddles!
Hoping you are both well, and of course Amber, Rosie, Spirit, Chance and the other pups. Best wishes, Rosie and Mark.

Comments:Hello Anne

I should let you know how Ellie and Archie are getting along in Sandbach. Now nearly seven months old, they are becoming very strong and well-balanced little dogs. Ellie has now been spayed - that went well, although she was not at all impressed with the collar she had to wear for a few days to stop her chewing at her stitches. To make things worse we also had to separate her from Archie at night so that he wasn't tempted to chew them for her! Having said that, he was a perfect little gent and was very solicitous towards her while she was a bit 'hors de combat'. Yesterday was the first really warm day they've known - Ellie has really mastered the art of lounging in the sun and looking glamorous. Archie loved it but quickly became quite hot in his beautiful, glossy black and tan coat. An inspired idea which might be worth passing on is that we filled the old paddling pool (relic from years ago when the children were small). They absolutely loved it - pouncing on the bubbles kept them amused (and cool) for hours!

Hope all is well with you - looking forward to seeing more puppies on the cam.

Best wishes

Comments:Just thought I would update you on "joys swansong" aka Charlie.
Well he is in charge, what ever is happening he wants to be there in front of everyone to check it out first. I f Sadie moves he has to see what she is doing and if he doesnt like it he brings her back. he enjoys ripping up newspapers and eating my plants, no matter how much I protect them he finds a way. other than that they play together very well and now and again Sadie gives him a paw on the back just to bring him down, and put the brakes on.
And we have less room on the sofa.
Hope you are all well take care,

Charlie "joys swansong" has settled in ok, still running Sadie ragged round the house and garden.
I had an early start 6 am today with Charlie singing. had a sticky patch trying to get him to eat but everything in working order now. Managed to hit the garden with wee wee's after a couple of accidents. He already knows the sofa is comfortable and aims there for a snooze along with Sadie we can't sit down, but don,t we just luv em, eternal thanks for making our dream come true. Comments:Just to let you know Hazel is now very much part of the family, Poppy now has a bed mate, as well as being followed everywhere, tail pulled, and biscuits pinched. She eats anything, and I mean anything tissues are a favourite, straight out of the box. That is the only thing we really have to be careful of, having said that she is not over weight, then again she never stays still long.

She loves her walks, with Poppy of course, looking forward to taking her away in the summer.

Thank you for Hazel, life is never dull.

Comments:Hello Anne

I must update you on how Ellie and Archie (the second) are getting along out in Sandbach. Both are growing strongly and are still evenly matched in weight/size but are complete opposites in every other way. Archie (as you predicted when he was 4 weeks old) is still very laid back and thoughtful, while Ellie is a bit of a tornado, driving him nuts although he loves her dearly. We cannot imagine our lives without them - we all love them so much. We've already taught them to sit and stay (albeit with bribery) and we are now mastering 'walking nicely on the lead'. Eliie is OK with that, Archie tends to plant himself firmly on his bottom and look me straight in the eye as if to say 'I don't think so'. But there you are, progress is being made. Hope you are both well, have had a quick look at Joy's new puppies on the cam - I agree with everyone, they are absolutely gorgeous. Best wishes and many thanks to Freyja and Merlin for the two wonderful additions to our family.

we thought to tell all about jaymac up to press.
well it all started on wednesday morning around 5.20am
i heard him barking very odd i thought as i went downstairs
he was half crying, whinning, barking all at once, i picked him up ssh-ssh darlin, my security lights were on they had gone on as i went downstairs,
i pulled my blinds opened just in time to see the FOX
clear my back fence,
well i was amazed at jaymac by this time my little devil
was growling as he snuggled up to me all i could think was
how brave he was starting up as he did as he is only 12 weeks old now but he is wonderfull, smart, clean .
he is just what we needed in our home we love him to peices
and he knows it, loves his dad he spoils him no end,

our grandchidren adore him thank goodness they come a few at a time they all have time share with him one lies on the floor and jaymac just runs all over them he loves it ,they love it, then he goes off to rest in his bed,
then wonders where they have gone after they go home
he is truly a blessed little fellow, and most of all

Comments:Rowley - Heronbank Sea God, an eight-week-old Tricolour male puppy came to live at 'Inglenook' just over three weeks ago. His arrival had been long anticipated and Bonnie, his mother, conveniently fulfilled our wishes early in August, 2005.

He made an immediate impact upon our lives! With boundless energy, and an inquisitive, playful and affectionate nature, this charming little Cavalier keeps us busy & entertained through out the day.

Twice daily, he has what can only described as his 'devilment hour', when he performs, with speed & accuracy, his repertoire of 'naughty things to do' When reprimanded, he sits in an aura of innocence, rolling his beautiful, mournful, eyes.

Being a very handsome puppy with perfect facial markings he has come to expect compliments (which he graciously accepts) - even from a passing stranger!

Rowley is very bright, and responds happily to some basic commands - that is, when he is not engaged upon a more important task! Trying to demolish our ancient fireplace is something which he now has in mind!

We feel that it is high time for Rowley to enrol in socialization & obedience classes. This could be a challenge for everyone!
