Name: Deanna June (Parkison) Carlock
E-mail address: grandmaspider@shelbywb.coop
Comments:Hi,
Thank you for making your information public. My direct Parkison ancestor is Richard Parkison, son of William that died in 1804, and the brother of your John.
So, Edward Parkison, born in Ireland, may have been a relative of our Richard Parkeson, born about 1689.

My father, who recently died, used to say that when our branch of the Parkison's came into Illinois, part of the family went westward and they changed their name to Parkinson. Our family settled in Fayette County, Illinois.

E-mail address: parkwb56@gmail.com
Comments:How's it going fellow Parky! I fell off of the DNA mailing list when my internet provider changed and my email address changed from Parkwb@winco.net to Parkwb56@gmail.com

I DID receive an email from someone who joined the DNA group who said he was a fairly close match to me, i emailed back but have never heard from him again.

Anyway, could you please add my new email address to your list so I can catch up?

Are there any Featherstone participants in the DNA search?

My family is putting the finishing touches on our immediate Parkinson Family History which goes back past Thomas Parkinson, the Rev War veteran from Maryland, which was all very well documented by my mother over the years.

My 4th great grandfather, William Magner, married Margaret Parkison/Parkinson Meek. Margaret was Samuel and Catherine Parkison Meek's daughter. Catherine was William and Margaret ? Parkison's daughter.

I have seen the last name spelled both ways but have thought it was Parkinson. It wasn't until I spelled it the other way that I came upon your entries on Rootsweb.

Comments:I'm looking for information on Parkison history in northeast Indiana, mostly Wells county (Ossian). My mother is Lois Parkison, youngest daughter of Harry Clinton Parkison and Harriet Lammiman. Harry's father was William J. and his mother was Martha J. Maddux. This family consisted of (at least) Delmer G. (Dell), Charles F., Anna B., Harry, and Almira(?). I'm interested in both history and current living descendants. Unfortunately a lot of contact was lost between my mother and her siblings. They were, in order, Charles, Harry Jr., Fred (Fritz), Martha, Raymond, Leona, Robert (Bob), John (died in infancy), and Lois. Only Martha, Fritz, Bob, and Lois had children that we know of. We are in contact will all except Bob's kids, Edward and Donald, and we're pretty sure my mother is the only one left of her generation unless Charles is enjoying a ripe old age somewhere.
