| Comments: | I lived in Enola from 1957 to 1966 at 15 South Enola Drive. Some of our neighbors (surnames) were Blumenstein, Richardson (funeral home), Price, Wolfe, Pelton, Murray, Vogelsong, Long, & Wittle. I remember Brownhill's store, Campbell's grocery, Michter's grocery, Lipcomb's Hardware, Stago's Barber Shop, gas station at Rt. 944 & S. Enola Drive, & a pet fish store nearby (can't remember the name). I attended Summit Street School & Midway Elementary School. My brother Ron & sister Gloria attended East Pennsboro High School, then we got transferred to Dover, Delaware in January, 1966 when I was 10 years old. I deeply missed Enola, but revisited it many times since then. It was a wonderful place to grow up. Oh yes, I almost forgot the good old "Whistle Stop" for ice cream. Great memories !!! |

| Comments: | I am researching the Livingston family from EastPennsboro. My Great great grandfather was Michael C. Livingston, b.Sept 14, 1791,d.Sept 30, 1852, Married 1826 to Susanna Stauffer, b.Jun 1,1806,d.Oct 21,1852.they had four children of which two are lost to this writer. The lost children are George Livingston b.1838 and Theodore Livingston b.1845 in Cumberland Co. Pa. Two other children were born of this union and I have all the information on them. They are Stephen H.Livingston and Michael C. Livingston both migrated to Macon Co. Illinois. Can anyone help me with the lost sheep ? This is a very good website to have stumbled on . | Comments: | I am researching both the Adams/Addams Family and the Miller Family, from Isaac Addams d. 1836 and Jacob Miller and Elizabeth Wilt. Jacob, Elizabeth and six of their adult children left East Pennsboro in 1842, to settle in Ohio.
They left behind 7 of their grown children and families, of whom I am looking for. Their daughter mary married my 2x Great grandfather Isaac Addams in Mechanicsburg, in 1833. This website is great! Thankyou, Robyn King |

I have been in the creek many times and I have found about 25 to 30 old nails. I also found a old, rusty skeleton key. | Comments: | I was just e-mailed this site from a kind person in cyberspace. Many of my family are buried in Enola Zion Lutheran Cem. Tammy, the caretaker, is very nice and has sent me records of my ECKERTS, one of them being Sebastian
1806-1873. Sebastian was a Cooper by trade. Sebastian's son David W. Eckert 1855-1925 is also buried there along with his brothers and their family. My gggrandfather Clarence W. Eckert was born in West Fairview 1874. David Eckert married Anna Louise Nicholas. In the early Zion Lutheran Church History, I read there was a Nicholas that was a pastor there. Her Fathers name was Peter Nicholas. Do you think this is the same Nicholas? I would love to see more pictures of the area, since I live states away. Are there early maps of the area that show who lived where? I for one am very happy to see this site! Thanks to all that have helped me with my search! Dru Vaughn |
