There must surely be a special place in a world beyond this one for people who are so very intent upon helping, supporting, and loving those who are unable to care for themselves, discarded or surrendered for reasons beyond their control. The Human Society is such a wonderful facility, doing such hard but much needed work in a world wherein there is little praise and not nearly enough recognition of these dilligent, life-saving measures. Some of the best animals I have ever known were saved from the "crime" of being unwanted and unloved, and it never failed to astound me that someone could simply turn their backs on such creatures. They want only to be loved, and they give back a hundred fold every moment of care they recieve. Thank you from myself, and from so very many who cannot express their gratitude in words. Knoxville and the animal community is a far richer place for such a wonderful facility as this. :)

I adopted my Harley (a chihuahua mix) a little over a year ago! He is the most awesome pet that my little boy and I could have ever wished for. He was perfect for us, I don't know how anyone could have ever given him up. We wouldn't know what to do without him...thank you so much!! | |

thank you for being there to take care of the pets that people can t take care of themselves. we as a couple were down on our luck and low on money and HAD to move. crushed us that we couldn't take our child "our dog" Lexi. we hope and pray that you might be able to find a home for her as loving and caring as we have had for her. | |
