I did what I know best to do and did a specific meditaiton that is helpful in releasing problems, letting go of obstacles and surrendering my whole self to the Divine. I was done with the meditaiton and I felt soooo good. Much relieved. Then I looked to my left and in a box was your book. I do not know exactly where it came from..... i know I didn't buy it but I did bring it home....I read for quite a bit. What wonderful wisdom! She has ordered around 40 copies of it and has distributed it to whom ever she can. She is now self medicating herself, drinking, almost died and is in the hospital. Hopefully, she will be able to get into a rehab center and get treatment. I'm really disturbed that your book had this effect on her. I haven't read it and it would probably scare me if I did.

I have 4 children under the age of 12 and the oldest (12) has been living with bipolar for the last 7 years. The video bipolar light was wonderful for him to see that he isnt alone and that he is normal. I read your Bipolar BK a couple of years ago. I live in the eastern end of the UP of Michigan and its fairly isolated. Jan., Feb., and Early March were months of deep despair. Then I would go through July, August and early September without a care in the word spending thousands and 10 thousands of $$$$ on QVC and/or EBay (Breyer Horses). I'm buried in stuff! In those months in between I wonder what was I? A lunatic, a very, very bad person, self punishment by having my husband yell and scream and belitte me. Telling our business partners, employees and others what I did to shame me more. Is this what I wanted? To be shamed , not liked by everyone? All those eyes on me. Scared beyond belief. But you showed me a way to get help and that I had a disease. That if I went to the right doctor I'd get relief. And so I'm ordering a newer verison of that first book I read so not so long ago.

I just watched the video of the Saginaw seminar and you are the first professional that I have"met" in 13 years of dealing with professionals that really seems to understand the complexities and possible spectrum of BP. I was about a 3 on your spectrum from the age of about 3 who was triggered into a 6.5 by multiple extreme phycho-social stressors and was treated by the "experts as a 10 which triggered me into about an 8. I have had good success preventing major episodes through a more natural health treatment plan that includes most of your suggestions. I plan to encourage everyone I know to at least watch your video and I hope to have the money to purchase the DVD soon. Thank you again for focusing on the big picture and not just the "science" that has blinded so many "experts" to what we really need.

I left the book on my desk for a few weeks for children to read during independent reading time, and it was always in use. He really has no conscience, empathy (I mean--he's just as you wrote in your book!) Could you please help me? How do I stop him from using my daughter to get to me?
