| Comments: | Hi, I am an african-american Hutt out of Missouri along the Mississipi River.I am the son of Dennis Hutt Sr. of Waterloo,Iowa,but originally of Missouri.His dad,my grandpa Ismael Hutt was a war veteran of ww2 I believe and has relatives in Troy,Mo.My cousin Clarence Hutt lives in Peoria,Ill.and has a brother Adrian Hutt in Atlanta.Us African-American Hutts here in Missouri,or at least my fathers Hutts are mixed with native-american.The Indian features came out in my dads oldest brother and sisters,but I was alway curious about my last name because their weren't many of us around and it is an uncommon last name and by reading some of the little biographies on this sight I'm seeing that alot of Hutts are out of Scotland,but was is the true origin of our last name? is it Scottish or is German.I've talked to people from Germany that told me that Hutt is German and means hat in German.I don't know,but I would love to hear from some Hutts black or white because you never know...We could all be related somewhere down the line. |

| Comments: | I was born in Lincoln County,Missouri.When I was 20 years old I was a patient in a hopital in Fowler,Calif.having born a son there.I recall one of the nurses asking me about my family.She said she was a Hutt.I just remember not feeling well, had lost an uncle by drowning the week before,so I didn't think of the significance of the question at that time,so didn't get acquainted.The uncle was Richard Hutt who lived in Las vegas,Nevada.They had been searching for him for a week. The day my son was born we got the news that they had found his body. Uncle Richard and my father Russell utt grew up in the area where the Cuiver River state Park is now(in Lincoln County.Mo) |

| Comments: | Just found your site, very interesting, I am Fourth generation Canadian, my Great-Grandfather arived from England as a single young man in the late 1800's and settled in Ontario as an early homesteader.My Grandfather who was born on that farm became a respected pioneer in Canadian aviation engineering, having started as a 16 year old who lied about his age in order to join the Canadian Flying Corp in 1917. World War 1 ended prior to him seeing action, he and two of his son's, my Father and one of two Uncles eventually settled in Vancouver B.C. (West Coast) after world war 2. Still here!(Chilliwack B.C.)

| Comments: | I was born in 1954 and brought up in Surrey. For the past 3 generations my family was brought up in Lambeth sth London, prior to that from around 1810 they lived around the Bethnal Green area and before 1810 came from Wolston in Warwickshire.
I've got a line back to around 1600 and am now trying to fill out the side branches. I'd be particularly interested to hear from anyone with information on Hutts from around Coventry, Bedworth, Wolston etc or the London area. I'm happy to share any information I have, there is a family tree back to 1808 on my web site. Look forward to hearing from someone. |

He was the youngest of 13 children & I think was born on the 13th of May. he was a seaman & was on his way back to the UK ( I think from New Zealand) when the boer war broke out & he remained in South Africa. | Comments: | My family are based in the Midlands of England in a place called Old Hill in the Black Country. It was originally called Old Dell. I do know that my ancesters were itinerant boatmen and worked the canals in the 1800's. I have traced a John Hutt back to 1830. One source claims that the name originates from the Saxon word for an inland river port and would have been originally Huthe or something similar. Given my ancestors boating history and the fact that goods and supplies have been moved by river or canal for centuries in the Midlands that does make sense. A large nearby river port was - still is - Stourport on Severn.

| Comments: | I've been researching the Hutt line for 'donkeys years' but am a little stuck with my 3rd Great grandfather William Hutt. He was born around 1803 and had a son called Thomas John Hutt (1830 circa), who in turn had at least four other sons - George (1871), Henry(1868 circa), Alfred (1870 circa)and William (1876 circa)plus a daughter called Edith (1880). I think they may have originated from the Oxford area though definitely settled in and around London, Poplar, Middlesex.
