| Comments: | I have recently found that my great-uncle, Pilot Officer Donald McMaster, was with the 250 squadron, and was killed in July, 1942 while serving with the squadron. I think it is great that this website exists, to give some sense of history to family members who were not around during the war. If I come across any photographs, I will be sure to forward them on. Thanks, Andrew McMaster |

| Comments: | RAYMOND ARTHUR BISHOP. I have just received my fathers records from the RAF and have found that he served with 250 squadron from 1941 till 1945. I know that we have some pictures somewhere in the family and I will try and send them to this website. Does anyone remember my father. He also played football for the RAF sometime during his services. Would love to hear from someone about my father. |

| Comments: | Nice to see the Desert Air Force being commemorated online. For a very well illustrated depiction of the Kittyhawk actions in the Desert, with special reference to the 260 Squadron Canadian ace James Edwards, but also a lot of detail on the German desert aces faced by 250 Squadron; see http://www.accessweb.com/users/mconstab/edwards.htm Also I have written some history of the Australians in 239 Wing (which included 250 Squadron) at http://p-40.tripod.com/ |
