Thank you to all your hard work that you do at Indigenous Environmental Network. I participated in a youth conference through IEN while in college and it was the best thing I ever did. It was a leadership program for young natives. It opened my eyes to a whole other level that I had not been in before! Thank you for changing my life in a positive and progressive way!

I'm a student at Macalester College organizing students working for fundamental solutions to global warming and the energy crisis. I'm looking for young people in the Midwest (particularly MN and the Dakotas, but other folks are doing the rest of the Midwest too) who are ready to get working with a coalition of young people. Please join us at the 2nd Midwest Student Energy Conference in madison Wisconsin on March 2-4 2007! Contact me at tdenherder-thomas@macalester.edu for details.
You guys rock!

I am writing to invite, no - urge - Native youth to participate in the 2nd annual Earthbound Conference in at Wamp Warren in Eveleth Minnesota on September 22nd to 25th, 2006. This conference brings together Native and non-native people who share concerns about the Earth to work on building relationships that aid us in our struggle; overcoming racism, white gult, internalized oppression. There is a focus on youth organizing and leadership. Everyone says that the youth are the leaders of the future. That is not true. Youth are the leasers of TODAY and we need to listen carefully to what y'all have to say. please email me at power4u@mtn.org so i can emailor snail mail a flier to you. We do provide some subsidies for youth for travel if needed. Please let me know. I look forward to hearing from y'all. Pidamaya.
