Also the relationship between Nynaeve and Lan is the most perfect and interesting one in the book to say the least. I also love the picture of Nynaeve on the left side of the screen, her looks and her braid totally embody her character and looks exactly like I would have pictured her in the book. I first fell in love with Nynaeve in the Two Rivers. A young character standing up to all these old freaky women and men and sultry teens. Booyah! Then, finding that she has an awesome sense of duty, I loved her more. And she's an awesome tracker. I could go for this girl! She's brave! I'm in love! Lan, stone faced and emotionless, actually responds to her? Oh yeah! She makes Aes Sedai flinch and doesn't back down from them or anyone else. She's human. She isn't perfect. She seems real. And she's funny. Her test for Accepted made it all the better. Her strong sense of duty shines through. She regrets leaving her people behind. Yet she makes a VERY difficult choice that she believes is right. Her and Lan's first kiss. She makes him lose it, she barely maintains herself, and now she demonstrates her honor in the matter of Moiraine. Go Nynaeve! After Elayne and Egwene's Accepted tests, they run to Nynaeve for comfort. And she gives it and does a good job. She's strong. Like most anyone, I admire strength. Yet she's not cheaply strong. She has an obstacle to overcome, one of many. Her block. Her Healing Siuan and Leane and Logain. ANYONE who does the impossible, flusters Aes Sedai, is flustered herself and does all this by ACCIDENT? Cool! She used Balefire before ANYONE else in the series! She captures a Foresaken. Twice. I love her relationship with Rand. She adjusts to who he is, but she's still the Wisdom. Egwene looks on him as the Dragon, Elayne and Min and Aviendha as a lover. Nynaeve? To him she's just Rand who's grown up and needs her help. Did I mention that she's strong? She wants to learn how to use a sword even though she has immense power at her fingertips. Sounds cool! I could go on and on...But I've made my point. I'm in love! |
