| Comments: | Exceptionally interesting. The use of colors is by far, extremely pleasing to the eye. The meanings of biblical passages is very well captured by the artist. One critique could be said and that is to allow the viewer's mind to wander through the imaages and through the beautiful colours. Perhaps the artist should be a little less graphic in the interpretation of the particular bible passages and allow God to put the message He wants for the viewer to receive. Through prayer and meditation, (and I am sure she already does this), I believe the artist can accomplish this. In all....the artistry is very relaxing and INSPIRATIONAL. | Comments: | There is some obvious good intention in your work.
I hope you become more word oriented before doing another piece. The impressions you make effect some people very much, so how true it is is very important. That was one reason in the old covenant that God told people not to carve or sculpt or mold statues, because some people would venerate them as the actual instead of respecting God dirrectly; that's an example of how people are weak in how the are when presented things in view to the eye; So, this is why you should try to get advise from several word oriented christians before doing another piece. Examples: The Holy Spirit came not as a visual effect of a wind, and not even just like the sound, though it did have sound; It says "as" meaning similar. But it didn't have visual effects like wind. God is not limited, but scriptures did not record as visual form of wind; It did though record illumination similar to flames of fire upon those who the Holy Spirit anointed. The painting about the yoke; The biblical yoke is not an egg, but a large piece of wood used to bind two oxen together to work a field. This impression of a wooden yoke being a burden was used in scripture to describe the heavy burdens it took to be able just to partake in the congregation in the old covenant, because, if they had sin in the congregation, when Gods glory showed up, thousands of the people would die. It had nothing to do with an egg. When Jesus said I AM and all the soldiers fell down backward, it was because it was Jesus talking to Moses from the burning bush, not Father. Jesus said no man has seen the Father except himself. All through the old testament when God appeared , it was Jesus. The very first time I made an art piece of religious things was about 1970, when I was a teenager in a basement of a friend. I wanted to make a cross in clay depicting Jesus on the cross; I bowed my head in prayer asking God to help me, because I didnt want to make a poor impresion of Christ our Lord on the cross. As I was bowed in prayer, on this bright clear sunny day, a huge thunderous clap of thunder shook the house. After all these years, I look back and see how many people admired the clay piece, but it was contrary to Gods Holy commands. After I have been following him according to his Spirit and word and anointing, I have heard the audible voice, much more instructive than a thunder. Those who get a thunder can err thinking it was approval altogether. God answers and wants us to fear him. He gave people the food they asked for in Old times, but as they were eating it they died. We need to have a renewed awakening of what it means to fear the Lord. I hope you can receive my words as not intending bad but hoping to inspire you to seek God ever so much more , to be led his way, and not to be hasty in just thinking his blessing is upon us just because of his presence in his mercy of grace. You have done some powerful and inspirational pieces. My favorite by far is The Awakening, although I also am quite moved by Arise and Be Healed. You may wish to consider the possibility of limited edition prints on fine quality paper that would enable you to reach a larger market. I also believe that you should offer gold frames in addition to brown and white having seen many religious paintings in museums around the United States (including the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC, and in New York and San Francisco) and The Louvre and Museum d'Orsay in Paris, and the Vatican Museum in Rome and museums in Florence and Venice, Italy and believe that gold frames as well as rustic wood frames often set off religious paintings best.
