In the manga they way the vampire's name is written in Japanese is pronounce Arkard. I don't know why, but this is what they do. Also, the japanese have neither and R or and L sound rather it is a mix of the two which is why they mistakenly use R instead of L and vice versa. Just thought you'd wanna know.
