Comments:Gregg,

Long time-no see. It's great to see that you're doing well. After spending many years (decades?) in the music business, you are still the best guitar player that I have ever had the pleasure to have worked with (and I've worked with some of the best). I've always wondered how things would have turned out if we all hadn't been so young and inexperienced. I hope that you have fond memories of the days of Kriss Kross, as short-lived as they were. I have always had the greatest of respect for your musical abilities, and wish you all the best.
I'm still producing a few shows a year, mostly benefits, with artists like Bonnie Raitt, CSN, Little Feat and others.
My wife and I have temporarily moved to KY, and opened a bed and breakfast. We kept our house in DC, and I still spend about one week a month in the DC area. I signed up for your mailing list and hope to see you perform sometime soon.
Take care, and good luck.

Sincerely,
Mike Distefano

Enjoyed your show with special guests from Baton Rouge at Phil Brady's!!! It was an extra unplanned treat to meet Mr.s Sundance, Larry Garner, Kenny Neal, Oscar Harpo in the crowd and to speak to them and find that they're really downhome people. You also talked to a friend-he was in red coveralls, Mr Johnson and you remembered his chicken scratch!! Thanks for your warm and genuine personality. I've been watching you since 1978 and have enjoyed every show you've played for us!!! I'm also looking forward to your new album. I'm not complaining of course, but just to let you know, I've only been waiting for 5 years since "Lightning Strike"!!! Just to share a little with you-my favorite blues guitarists, are, Guitar Shorty, Lonnie Mack, Roy Buchaanan, Eric Clapton, Duanne Allman, and Gregg Wright!!!! much love sent from the Broussard bloodline to the Gregg Wright family!!!! and yea, you really blew me away recently when you added "People Get Ready"" to your songlist!!!! May our Father in Heaven bless you Heidi, Cheyenne and Gregg!!! Take care always!!!! Be strong, be faithful, be good and be "cool"!!!!! your friend indeed, Kent Broussard

When I see Eddie "out and about" these days he keeps me up on the schedule; but this show kind of snuck up on us. Reading some of the entries in the Dreambook-- it's funny to read of some of the venues (THE BEAR's DEN--((I've been there))). Personally, my favorite memories were of the Kingfish. Please take care and hurry back.

Great music!! I am in California now, but I will go along with Bear and Kim Purpera to say that it would be simply fantastic to see you play an old local venue like the Ceder Club Lounge (Bear's Den). If something so sweet could ever happen, send me an e-mail and some friends and me will make the journey to Pointe Coupee to see the great show. Man I love that place. Anyway, keep up the good sound.

Caught you at the recent Tawe Delta gig Swansea. I'm that funky woman whose place you stayed at after your very first gig at the T.Delta. It was such a pleasure to meet you, something i often think about. Terry and Louise discovered gold the day they met you, the man and his music, that is. Due to illness, i had to stop work for Blues Matters. However, i eventually ressurected and am now a qualified practioner of vibrational healing, otherwise known as Reconnective Healing. It's good medicine. I do of course, keep on with the Blues, they are probably one of the main things that kept me going through a seriously troubled time. That and my too mean to die streak. See you somewhere down the line amigo, Fond regards, Jacqueline.

It was a real nice to see how well you have done for yourself, knowing where you started. Someday they will make a movie of your life, and all of the high's and low's you hit all those years ago. All of us still live in Maryland and I guess that will never change. I have to sit here and laugh when I hear my one son downstairs practicing his bass, and all I think of is you and Becky all those years ago. Comments:I was reading some comments about the Jimi Hendrix 60th birthday celebration in L.A. when I saw your name mentioned, which brought back some good old memories. I remember seeing you perform many times with your bands Kriss Kross and Shadow Box at Prince George's Community College and other places around Maryland and Virginia back around '72 - '75. After you left the Suitland area, I never heard anymore about you, though I did hear you were playing with the Jacksons at one point. Now that I found your website, I'll keep an eye on your itinerary. It would be great to get a chance to see you play again around the Washington, D.C. area. Take care.

Comments:Hey Gregg,
I can't believe I found you on the net! and am very impressed with your career. I live in New Orleans and remember seeing your name around town in the early 80's. But it was one night at Ole Man Rivers when you joined our hometown favorites ZEBRA on stage. It was an unforgettable performance. I hope that you put new orleans on your tour schedule. You know you and Zebra at the house of blues would be an awesome show. take care!!!!!!

Comments:I was fortunate enough to be working behind the bar at the
Wellington Vaults when Gregg made his two sunday night
visits. I was even more fortunate that Rob Coupe (where are
you now?), the landlord, persuaded Gregg that I played a
mean enough blues harp to join him (and the rest of the
Left Hook) for a quick jam.
I'll remember that night as long as I live - I have never
seen such virtuosity on any instrument. That guitar just
seemed to be a part of him, and I'd implore anyone that
hasn't seen/heard Gregg play to do so ASAP.
Any chance of including Dublin (or even better, Drogheda)
in a UK & Ireland tour? (guess who's emigrated across the
Irish Sea!) Failing that I'll try to be in Leicester for
July 20th

All the best,

Phil

Comments:hello Gregg,

enjoyed looking at your website, we'll add a link to your
site from our Fizgig website so that all your fans in
Lincolnshire can find out what you're doing.

we still remember well the Gregg Wright gigs at the Black
Swan, Horncastle (which sadly doesn't have live music any
more) and The Axe & Cleaver in Boston - Malc's still
keeping the music going there though sadly former owner
Jackie died a while back.

People still ask if we know what you're doing, now we'll be
able to keep them informed & link them to your site.

cheers & all the best,
Tom & Ali

Comments:I followed Gregg all over Baton Rouge as a 17 year old in
1978. I also dated Pick, his congo player for a while. He
gave me a brand new vinyl release of Kham Sin which
unfortunately got mixed up in a pile of old records that
were thrown out. Those were some wild times and I think of
them often. I still have several newspaper clippings of
gigs he did around Baton Rouge. The one at the Paramount
Theater was a memorable one. The first time I saw him was
at a free concert on the LSU campus. I thought Hendrix was
reincarnated. As his brilliance, talent and giftedness
emerged, I was simply in awe of him. I'll never forget him
or his music.
