Comments:Well Hi i'm visiting the sight again, things have moved abit in the church, but sadly there's a way to go folks. It's a shame some people couldn't see past the brick wall they built a couple of years ago. THE SPIRIT IS MOVING FOLKS and so should we. PREPARE THE WAY for there's going to be a new begining. The Lord does move in mysterious ways so hang on to the train cos its gonna get a moving. See you at church. Debbie

Comments:Hi i have just got round to finding the webb site.I have to say i'm impressed.I coming to St Albans and singing in the choir. I feel i have learnt alotmusically and enjoy the challenge.
The only sadness i have about the church is in some parts there is a clear split. This is a shame, I would like to see that gap breeched and the church move together as one, as reading the guest book, it quite obviously did once.
apart from that i love St Albans and StAgathas, and wouldn't go any where else to sing or worship. I Shall visitthis site again. Well Done.

when we left the area. I am still friends with Pauline and Peter our frienship spans over 60 years. Our years in Sundaay School and church gave us a good foundation for life. I remember Miss Williams Miss Spaull Miss goodman who played the piano. I remember on Palm Sunday we would parade throught the streets waving palms. I wish God's riches blessings on all at St. Albans. I now live in Cornwall with my husband where we attend an evangelical church. Hopefully one day I will retrace my routes back to St. Albans.

Comments:Sadly, His Honour Judge Derek Stanley, Circuit Judge, died at the age of 59 on 9 October 2006, so mention of him may be moved from the 'Well-being' section to the 'Requiem' in the Parish prayers. (Incidentally, Derek was baptised an Anglican by his grandfather, the Revd William Sterry Cooper, Rector of Drotwich, in the 1940s. He was received into the RC Church prior to his marriage to Gabrielle in 1971: she is RC. He was Choimaster of St Chad's Cathedral 1970-2 and a gentleman of the Choir, singing Bass, for some years after that. Latterly he was the MC at Sunday High Mass at St Chad's, usually serving for Fr Brian Doolan [ex-CofE: now RC], the Cathedral Dean.) Kind regards, PG

Comments:I attended St. Albans Church and School from 1947 onwards.
Although I left the area when I was 14 I still went back and got married at St. Albans, by Father Stock. I had my son christened there too by Father Stock. My confirmation lessons were given by Sister Barbara Mary. I loved the Christmas Eve mass the best and my favourite song was England By Thy Own St. Alban which for some reason Father Harding banned.

Comments:I have very fond memories of this church which I attended in the last few years of Fr Hardings life when Bruce Dutson was his curate. It still then had a wonderful choir under the direction of Roy Hayter. This was the church where I first started to serve at the altar and what a privilege it was too.
I was one of those "awful Poeple" as we were called then who left to help Fr Dutson in his new parish of St Saviours Saltley. I now worship at Holy Trinity Reading where I moved to in 1994 when I left Birmingham. The area has changed so much in the last eleven years but the church remains, still a landmark, still a witness.
Heady days!

Comments:Amazed at finding this web site! I was a chorister at St. Albans from the mid to late sixties - I've always been grateful for the musical grounding it gave me. Choirmaster was Raymond Issacson, followed by John Bates. I remember Father Harding and Father Willets. In my time there an elaborate rood screen was erected - I can't see this in the photos. Is it still there? Keep up the good work!

Comments:God sent me to an Italian class at the Brasshouse, so that I could meet Sharon and Elaine, which was a blessing.

I later attended a Palm Sunday service there, which was wonderful. I brought my elderly mother to the Stations and Veneration of the Cross services, which she enjoyed greatly.

I would like to express my thanks for the kindness shown to both of us.

The lord moves in mysterious ways. I am truly blessed.

Comments:Dear Sir,

I saw your site on the internet and I would like to give you a prayer request.

My name is Ron, I have been married about 13 years to Sheri and we have a 5 year old daughter Skylar. Recently, my wife met someone and since mid October I have been praying for God to restore our marriage and family. Dec 2, she moved out stating that she needed a month to get her head straight. She says she is unhappy and doesn’t know why or if she can be happy together again.

I am praying for God to bring her back to us and restore our marriage and family and show her that the peace and happiness she is seeking is right at home.

Thank you.
Ron Rabon

My Grandmother was born at 3/81 Leopold Street in 1906 and I believe I still have picture of Christ that was awarded to her for attendance at Sunday School? I dont know its stained on the back but it does say St.Albans on the part I can read, along with her name which was Alice Dawson. If you have any other information with regard to my Grandmother could you possibly let me know? Thank you
