| Comments: | Wow ! ! ! What can I say. My Wife Laurie and I came down to an APA format scotch doubles pool tourney/Christmas party, We brought 4 friends with us.
I had never visited any moose lodge before, and let me tell you, EVERYONE was nice as they could have been. The facilities were immaculate, the food was good & the fellowship beyond reproach. My lil Sis Mary Louise Shelton had a tragic FIRE ravage her home the Sunday night before Christmas, EVERY FAMILY MEMBER IS --FINE--. But they lost EVERYTHING. Ricky Shelton-Husband, Mary-MoM, R.J.-11yr old son, Mary Brooke-8yr old daughter, & Mackennon 9mos old son. The Moose 1727 members & Heart of VA APA passed the HAT and raised $366 dollars that was presented to me to take to my sisters family. Also clothes and many offers of other needed items. Thank-You Lodge 1727 You really went beyond the call of duty. I was very impressed by everyone's compassion, and by how nice the lodge itself & its members were. I believe my family is going to join. Thank-You Susan & Bruce of the APA-Heart of Virginia, Whom I have known only a short time, also. The scotch doubles was a very fun event, It was the second pool tournament I have EVER played in, and my partner & I finished second, earning a little cash of our own. WOW ! ! ! ! Like what you use for backstop, how far you shoot from, and how run the brackets, prizes, is it free or do you charge a fee? I guess preety much everything how how you run the entire event. | Comments: | What a GREAT site! I was at International, viewing the newsletter awards, and thought I'd check out the on-line ones. Yours has taken me about a half hour to stroll through - and I wish we had one like yours. I think it speaks to your younger members, and stimulates interest in your activities, much more than a printed newsletter does.
I am our Newsletter Editor, (as are mostly WOTM members, I notice), and two years ago received an honorable mention. I was floating on air, when I received an award at one of our special meetings. Please explain your BB game which seems to hold a lot of interest - what kind of backstop are you shooting into.... I will see if this game is available online - or do you just use coloring book pictures? Please advise... Keep up the interesting site - especially the pictures.... |

I was at Colonial Heights Moose Lodge #1783 and had to leave because they don't attend nothing and I love attending all District Meetings and State Conventions. |
