Bruce Ray Wednesday, May 20th 2009 - 03:03:41 PM brucewray@gmail.com Hi Jan! I'm a member of the NewportRI group on yahoo and have enjoyed reading about the retirement in the south from Arnold. He is the one that directed me (us) to your site. I had a bit of a problem bringing the site up at first, and came to the discovery you must have used a Mac to create it. It finally opened properly when I used Safari. If someone else maintains your site, mention that it should be standardized for Firefox and Internet Explorer. When I first brought up the site in those browsers, there was a green border on the right side (like the one on the left), and it covered up the text at the end of each line. I am looking forward to reading a few of your stories, and checking out the advice to newbies as I'm in the latter 1/2 of my life and might take up writing as a hobby. Thanks again! Bruce

Vicki Bisaillon Friday, October 17th 2008 - 06:54:10 PM jbenek57@yahoo.ca I just wanted to send a message to you and anyone else who may read this. I was diagnosed with Wegners a year and a half ago and it was one of the hardest things I have ever dealt with. I was very depressed and had my own "pity" party. You know the story, poor me and why did this have to happen to me. I think the main problem was that I couldn't blame anybody or on anything. When I first started treatment I didn't get out of bed for 3 weeks. Despite the fact I shouldn't have been drinking with the medication I was on, I drank like a fish!! After about 3 months I decided this disease was not going to ruin my life. I got out of bed and made myself deal with this horrible disease. My point is that I went back to work despite the hair loss, vomitting, etc... And I went off the medication 6 months early. I am very proud of this and wanted to let others know that even though it is hard to deal with, I did it and it feels good. I am afraid of my new blood work to come back as I haven't been feeling so good lately and as it affected my eye, I have been having vision problems again. However, I WILL NOT allow this to discourage me again. I did it once and am still here and I KNOW I can do it again.

Bill Weekley Sunday, January 6th 2008 - 07:51:20 PM bweekley@gmail.com A delight to read your work and also to learn about Rving. There is, or was as I haven't heard of him lately, a guy called Chuck Woodbury who published a newspaper, OUTWEST. He traveled everywhere in an RV and wrote about the characters he met along the way. I think he lived in Grass Valley, Calif. when he wasn't traveling. Reading about RVing on your website reminded me of him and now I am envious of both of you. I'm not published yet (prepublished?),but I will be soon and when it happens it will be much to my wife's relief because she won't have to keep making excuses as to why I'm always sitting at the computer. Keep up the good work.

Unfortunately there are other people just as unfortunate as us and are in just as much pain and anxiety as we are. This disease needs to be taken more serious as it is very debillitating and also takes away not only the sick ones way of life but close family members as well. Please keep up the good work

Roberta Swindler Saturday, August 25th 2007 - 05:41:08 PM rgswindler@hotmail.com I lost my brother to (what the doctors called Wagners Desease) but in my research I believe it was another form of vasculitis. He had small painful blood blisters that would form and fall off, leaving nothing there. They appeared on his hands and in his mouth. He had a bowel obstruction and gangrene set in. The doctors operated 3 times in 1 night removing over 7 feet of his intestines along with cutting a big hole in his bottom. He was also put on dialisis. He suffered greatly for months and was not allowed to eat or drink anything. I am still botherd with the amount of suffering he did before he passed away.

Joanne Mantei Wednesday, December 29th 2004 - 02:05:19 PM clifjo1955@netzero.com http://www.netzero.com My cousin in Australia just passed away from this disease. While my daughter in Wisconsin was inside ICU at Theta Clark Hospital this summer, we met the parents of a young man named Zach. Would like to have them contact us here in FL. We want to know how Zach is and if this is a gene type disease. Gloria had this disease for years and we just found out what she actually had. She was in in 60's. If you read this, Cathy, Phillip or Josh, please contact us. Thank you.

Roger W. Ek, Seawolf 25 Sunday, December 5th 2004 - 10:15:32 PM mequest@telplus.net Very neat and informative web page Jan. It loads fast on dial-up. I have severe high frequency loss and tinnitus that is a ringing and a sound like compressed air. Sometimes the compressed air sound stops suddenly and turns to a high continuous ringing noise. Hope to see you folks up here in the cool north country next summer. I have a new boat with a flat deck that is handicap accessible for Pat. It has railings everywhere.

Patricia Harrington Friday, November 12th 2004 - 10:21:44 AM pharrin107@aol.com http://www.patriciaharrington.com Hey, Jan, Was absolutely thrilled to see that you had a webpage now. I saw it mentioned in an SMFS post. I haven't been writing much there. The tenor of the place has changed some, but I do read the posts by digests. Sometimes that's a mammoth task, as you probably know. I will click back to your site and see if your book is indeed out, if so, I'll order it or order when it is out. I'm happy for you and best to you. BTW, I'm going to click on to the tinnitus site--have it, don't you know. The vissitudes of growing old (don't know if that's spelled right). Take care, Pat

Earl Staggs Thursday, August 12th 2004 - 06:16:08 PM earlstag@juno.com Good looking site. Green is my favorite color. It means life and vitality. It also is the color of most vegetables which I don't like, but that's okay. I can mix broccoli with beans or noodles and never even taste it. The reason I'm talking silly is because I want to make my very good friend Ant Jan smile. She should be smiling because she is an excellent writer whose time has come. I loved Sara's Search and can't wait for the next one. As for the site, Ant Jan, the only thing wrong with it is you don't mention my name anywhere. Earl Staggs
