being the shy silent type that I am, public speaking is no particular thrill, but goodness. It's not the speaking so much, at this point, that bothers me. It's the getting up at 5:50 so I can be at McLaughlin by 6:40, only to get on a icky school bus with loud obnoxious children and Nick Harrison (who's neither loud, nor obnoxious, but I sit no where near him on the bus so it doesn't matter) and get to Creekview, apparently God's gift to CFBISD, thrity minutes before I need to be there. Thirty minutes more I could have slept. All because our bus driver (and, yes, I rather resent having to ride the bus. I am old enough to drive, I don't see why I can't pretend that I know how) drives like, 50 miles per hour down residential streets and forgets he has breaks until we're two feet away from a stopping point. ARG. Of all the silly positions for a person to be put in. I do all of this, get to the icky school 30 minutes early so that I can take a class I don't like at all. It's not all bad, mind you. Our teacher, crazy as she may be, is kind hearted at least... assuming you're not on deathrow for killing a little girl. She's quite opinionated on that subject. Quite opinionated indeed. It's not her, though. And it's not the hours we spend watching Mr. Bean and Survivor or playing Planet Hollywood or Guestures or Taboo. She's a theatre teacher, and therefore assumes we all adore speaking in front of groups of people. Well, lovely as that assumption might be, I can, for one, vouch that it is not entirely correct. I know of at least one person in her class who would rather not stand before a group of her "peers" and speak about newspaper articles or pretend to complain about a broken stereo. No- I can find a better use for my time. Maybe watching a movie. The Princess Bride, perhaps. I'm on a Princess Bride kick. I'm in love with Westley this week... Heathcliff, by the way, Kelley, is by no means romantic. More like crazy and stuck up. I was not impressed. I didn't give him much of a chance, I admit, he'll never be, after all, a Mr. Darcy. (OH! Westley fences too... As does Inigo Montoya. And come to think of it, Inigo's kind of cute too... hey!! I'm in love with Inigo too. He's very nice when he's not trying to kill people.) See, I found this book- the Princess Bride, right? It's the abridged version. Sooooooo funny. I read about 3/4 of it yesterday and have since managed not to read but 12 pages. But it's alright. I'm in no hurry. I just wish they'd stop torturing poor Westley. He's so beautiful. It'd be a shame to make him any less so simply for revengeful, and hateful purposes, I think. Quite a shame indeed. Alright. I'm sure I have sufficiently bored anyone who is bothering to read this, so I will stop now. |

times, but I don't sign the book every time I come, because than people would know exactly how much time I waste at home saying to myself "Self, you really should do that PreCal and Bio homework.
