We don't always get a chance to express our graditude for that talent in our fast paced lives.. To thank them for taking us to another place or time for a couple of minutes, hours or days.. For taking away all the problems we face in our normal lives and replacing them with a smile, a tear, or a new way to look at something.. Jeanette MacDonald was one of those talents. | Comments: | What a wonderful tribute to Jeanette! I especially love the picture on the front page. Jeanette's accent (though inconsistant) in "Girl of the Golden West" is adorable.
Jeanette seemed to be a wonderful human being, especially when it came to charity. She knew the importance of spreading the wealth and for a woman of her status, that's hard to come by these days without strings attached. And her work in the war effort as well. Amazing the boost she had on moral of the soldiers along with other Hollywood stars. I know my brothers (who fought in WWII) appreciated their efforts immensely.
