| Comments: | Hi - great to see a site dedicated to the real joy of guitar noise rather than merchandising equipment and mythologising the finer points of pitch bending... I also play noise guitar and sing creepy nonsense for the band 'Captain Howdy' (though we're on temporary hiatus til after I've moved house.) I'd love to send you some stuff on mp3 for review if possible (when it's available...) I've been writing and home-recording acoustic lofi stuff for years (in the vein of Mountain Goats/Herman Dune - my billy no mates wilderness years) til I found some like-minded feedback freaks and pulled the band together last year. Since then we've had loads of extended surreal rocky jams but haven't really done anything really substantial. Til now... I've got about 10 tunes in the pipeline that'll sound hellish when they're turned up to 11... Hoping to hit the studio early next year to get them laid down in a Steve Albini one-take session!

I can make all the noises you put in yr web page, but there's a noise that I don't get how Lee Ranaldo make it... Listen to Murray Street album, song Radical Adults Lick Godhead Style... In the verse, while Thurston is playin', Lee Ranaldo makes a kind of noise that gives the song a sound really cool... do you know how to make that sound? Please, I'd love you to write me if you know how, 'cause I've been "fightin'" with my guitar more that a week to achieve that sound, and I'm not even close...
