| Comments: I've watched Queer as Folk many of times. Showtime has just got back to me and said that there is no plans for the series to continue. The producers thought that was where it had to end. I think that at least one more series. I love the US series better than the UK version. Living in Australia you never get the chance to see or even meet these excellent actors. Gale Harold is appearing many time in NY for his new movie Falling for Grace. I would love to meet him and Randy Harrison. Live on Queer as Folk. | Comments: Hi i finally watched Queer as Folk US version and though it took me a year to watch the full box set i really enjoyed the nights in. My boyfriend and another friend watched the episodes with lots of fun and jokes thinking what Bryan and the others were living their lives. I must say that towards the end it became very political but still very amusing and interesting. I feel sad that the series finished. Ae they going to do anymore? I watched Queer as Folk December of 2006 and I finished the whole series from seasn 1 to 5 by February of 2007. Since I am living here in Philippines,I have t look for a copy of the other season since what I got then is up to season 3 only. The moment started watching it, I was so amazed by the characters- SO REAL. I then let my friends watch the series and they too was really fascinated by everybody and everything that happened in the series. It helped me realize the importance of family and friends...and even relationship. QAF helped in the sense of living life as it is in real world. By now, I'm planning to watch it again!!! | Comments: Being a gay man living in Australia i can totally relate to the stories in the show Queer As Filk,having seen both the U.K & U.S version's i can honestly say the U.S version is the better.They put so much work into perfecting the manerism's of some gay men & in general the way the stories depicted some major aspects of our life's which is slowly becoming the IN thing.But in reality there is so much more work to be done & all the publicity in this matter as people are still scared & afraid of the word's 'Gay'&'H.I.V'.The cast were absolutly perfect in portraying the roles & did it with such perfection that you would think they were who they portrayed & that is a major point.The guy's who played the characters wre fine looking in there special way & when it comes to my personal opinion i think Brian is the favourite.He's cute,greatlooking,& down right georgous.But on the other hand i like the girly aspect of Emmett,it must have been really hard to get the manerism's,fine point's;my hat goes off to them all for a great job.I just wish they had the ability to make it a continuous drama series.The decision to film it in Canada was a supurb choice as i have been to Calgary & it is a wonderfull city for the Gay/Lesbian Community. | |

| Comments: I watched QAF in one-go on DVD in last 3 weeks for 3 seasons. It was amazing show. I got addicted to it immediately and fell in love with all casts. Their characters are so real and understandable. I would give the best to the storyline and its writer. I may fell in love with Brian but will never want to be with him same way with Ethan. Michael is so sweet and adorable. He is a good match with handsome & caring Ben (even I like Dr. David more the way he's pouring his love and affection toword Miky) Justin is so cute and charming but strong in love, to accept his man the way he is that need a lot of strength. Emmet is the best lover, very royal & supportive to his man. Ted is the most realistic character that you can find in common.
I would like to give my remarks to all of them but it will be too long. Anyway I'm a straight woman who loves beatiful gay boys and their stories. |

The final episode was very good, Vince and Stuart were a good couple but that Stuart was a little selfish (he just wanted to fuck), Vince was more romantic and cute and he deserve someone better. But the end was ingenious. |

| Comments: I was very sad to see QAF come to an end this season. For the past five years I have come to think of Brian, Justin, Ted, Emmett, Michael, Ben, Lindsay, Mel and Debbie as family. We have seen many sides of the characters and grown to love them. I was upset that Brian and Justin parted in the final episode but appreciated the vulnerable side of Brian that Gale Harrold brought to the character this season. I will miss them all on Monday nights...

I will miss QAF as it has been apart of my Monday night t.v ritual. All the cast members have been great and they will be missed. I wish them all the very best with what ever is within their future. The final episode was very sad as it seemed to pull them apart as friends who have chosen to go in differnt directions to better their lives.

Brian and Justin should have ended up together........ but this way these two characters seemed to stay true to themselves. I watched as well as my straight girlfriends and my gay male friends this show for 5 years. We are very sadden that the show will not be on for another 5 years because it is truly worth it. I have family members who are gay and i8 love them for who they are not what they are. The whole cast is wonderful. Debbie i would love to have a mother like you, who give her honest opinion and always loves her child. I am an only child who had no father in the home and had an abusive mother. And to see how much they touch on family whether gay or straight and how much love they showed their son when they find he had hiv. As well as how much love brian show to his child in the end. I was very moved. I have a few friends who are just like emmett, but nobody can touch him. I was very sad when uncle vic died because i had 2 uncle die of AIDS. I very emotional. This show has saved many peoples lives as well as touched many people's spirits. I will like to say thank you! Just for the record, I am a single, straight parent that is fortunate enough to have a lesbian daughter. My knowlege of the gay community has been so broadened since I became an active member of PFLAG/T and the people I have been so priviledged to meet over the past 10 years has been amazing! It's a journey I would not want to EVER have missed!! I will definitely miss QAF and if ever you return, I'm sure you will have a hugh audience awaiting another season! | Comments: Hello there. It`s a shame that QAF was ended after 4 seasons even in Colombia we only could watch seasons 1 and 2 cause people believed it was too much for our society. Even Colombians are getting more open mind about gay culture (and if you compare with other latin nations we are very very open). Even so, Colombia was not ready for this kind of shows, it is a shame.
I also want to say that I really like tha show, ět is nice and the story was ver well told. I hope one day we would have the chance to watch the others two seasons. My mom used to get me to watch it with her everynight cause she thought it would help with me growing up in a gay family... I actually grew up with Harris (hunter) we went to elementary school and high school together... He's one of the nicest guys that probably went to our horrible school. To think back then we were running around kissing eachother in the tires of the playground and now he's on my favorite tv show and Ihave a daughter.... The day I saw him on the show I almost died to think someone I used to hang out with was on a good show... lol... anyways... Harris(HUnter) is a rock'n good guy and all of us old friends have alot of love for him...
But I have to say this tv show is probably one of the most realistic and great on going show around... Im gonna be so sad when the day comes where it has to end... | Comments: Watching Queer as Folk promotes understanding of gay people and their lives are the same as heterosexual people. There are no differences that one can see in terms of relationships and other stuff that heterosexuals do. But there is a 'divide' between these two 'sexualities' and that is misunderstanding and fear. From watching this, there is no need for anybody to fear homosexuals except for those who resort to violence in order to express their rights on both sides (either gay bashing or gay rallies turning violent). Besides, the series is a sneak peek of what gays do; they work during the day, party during nights, fight with their spouses, and so on.
But the one thing that really touched me so much is the friendship between Brian and Michael. It goes beyond normal best friends and the things they do makes me think if we all can do that for our friends that is always be there for our best friends regardless of any situation. I salute them, if only they are real in life but it is only a script. And Hal is a very good actor; the best that I have seen, among all the other actors. He was able to make the character alive despite his love for rock music and his singing which is opposite to the character itself. Anyway, I salute to all the actors since it is not just acting the character out as the character but also to know the situation of being gay and knowing about how is it like to be gay because it is not an easy task to understand the whole terminology of what is like to be gay as it is very complicated and probably new to them. It is not like doing Star Wars or Star Trek because the characters are written in such a way that can be manipulated and 'imagined'. On the other hand, Queer as folk is a very realistic series which I never seen before in tv. SO, congratulations to the cast and the writers. I wish I could just congratulate them personally because this series is challenging for them to do. It is very hard to take the role of being gay as it is taboo and rarely studied and understood in the world today. The cast and the writers are able to bridge that by making this series in order not just for gays to enjoy to see it but to see what is it like to be gay in that particular country. Thank you. |

Just to share my emotions... What was I expecting? Dunno... Something like, souvenirs, posters, booklets... And it was nothing but a huge Garage Sale. These few families, they have been living here in Toronto, and now it's time to leave - who's gonna take all this stuff over to a new place? Sale... Just a little side note: these families, they never existed, well, they did, but in make-believe world, they were thought up and acted out. And you have to remind yourself of that all the time... because they have become real, oh so real, in these five years. With a little help from those who made their "households", so familiar by now and cozy. Used TV's, video, bikes. Bedsheets, curtains, tablecloths, books, CDs, furniture... Bedspreads, including a marvellous dark red one, where Em's pornostar was oh so bright. Clothing - racks of "Lindsey", "Ben", "Hunter" and everybody else. Oh, this is an opportunity to buy some items from their wardrobes I really liked! :) Money permitting, I would take a lot, seriously. Aaaaand go-go boys' panties and bowties. And drag-queens' dresses. Ethan's violin (with his sheet music). Signs and wall decorations from all the boy's hangouts, where we used to follow them. And even plenty of.. hm, hm... adult toys with QAF on them and a note above - Sorry, slightly used :) And this leather cradle, where they almost put Justin once... And election campaign ads - Stockwell for major!!! Don't let Stockwell be elected!!! Debbie's house, and yes, everything breathes Debbie... Christmas decorations, reindeer under the table including... Melanie-Lindz house, with Gus's stuff... Brian's ads, Justin's first drawings, Michael's fave comics... And here come the blues... The guys have left. For real. |
