She adopted me out through Smithlawn Maternity home in Lubbock Texas on Febuary 22, 1988! She was 20 years old and had a little boy that was 1-1/2 yrs old when I was born! Her dad is the only one that knew about the pregnancy and adoption! He was a deputy sherriff at the time! I was born 09-24-1966 in Biddeford, ME, I think it was called Notre Dame Hospital, and adopted through St. Andres and some Catholic organization. My mother (who has since passed away) told me that my birth name was Deborah Marie O'Hearn, which was changed to Christine Nadeau after my adoption. I have a child with type I diabetes, and am also dealing with serious medical issues myself at 39 years of age. I have been actively searching for quite a while, but to no avail thus far. I have three daughters and they should have this information. Some of the sites w/postings about St. Andres and other homes often mention that the women did not use their real names, which I am not sure applies to their situation at the home or includes all of the other things, paperwork, etc. My mother told me that my birthmom's name was Ann Marie O'Hearn, and that she was from MA. I was adopted through Catholic Services on February 22, 1983, and the social worker's name was Willa Blackwell. I was also given the birth name Erin Michelle which, as my birth mother stated, means "peace like unto the Lord". I do know that my mother was 18 at the time, 5'8", 136lbs, brown hair and brown eyes, with and olive complexion. Her blood type is A-. Her passion was basketball and she even tried out for a college team but later found she was pregnant. She did not know the father (one of two men) and I still have no proof of paternity. That is ok. Her father was a grain inspector and grader, her mother was a bookeeper, her older brother was in college for chemical engineering, her older sister was a teacher and a coach, and her younger sister was a junior in high school. She herself was in school for English education with hopes of Law school. It was also said that a maternal Aunt of hers had Scleroderma and Raynaud's syndrome. She supposedly has some form of Raynaud's as well. Guess what... so do I. It's not a bad thing just a little uncomfortable when its cold. Anyways, I have been searching for only 3 years now but as Im sure many others feel, it feels like a lifetime. My adoptive mother kept the letters and histories from me and I just so happened to come across them while looking for a birthcertificate. That was the hardest thing to realize. Since then I haven't given up hope that someday I may meet my mother. I just want her to know that I have thought of her everyday since I was eight (thats when I was told I was adopted). I pray for you and I love you more than you will ever know. The gift and prayer you gave me through my name was the most precious thing you could have sent me with and I wish it would have been used in some way. Just so you are wondering, I loved basketball with a passion as you did and I recieved many honors. I played since I was able to pick up a ball. I plan to name my first child Erin Michelle or Aaron Michael depending of course:) Your letters were beautiful and heartfelt and I couldn't have asked for a more loving woman to bring me into this world. You are an angel in my book. I have a book of poems I'd love to share with you since we share that passion as well. Thank you for giving me life and may God hold you in his arms at night. With all the love in my heart and being I pray that you have found the peace that you wished for me 22 years ago.

FACT: Born in Floyd County GA.(Probably Floyd Med CTR) either the very end of JAN 1971 or up to FEB. 17,1971_My BC I have is falsified and the county my adoptive parents lived at the time was put on it. My adoption was finalized in Whitfield County GA. I think my adoptive parents brought me home @ FEB 26 1971 and adoption was finalized OCT 19 1971. |

| Comments: | Hello, all. I am an adoptee iso any birth family. My twin sister and I were born June 23, 1953, in Kansas City MO. After both our parents (adoptive) had passed away, I found a copy of the adoption papers with my birth name, Tamara Towner. My sister, Tallulah Towner (boy did I make out good on that one!) Anyway, our aparents took us both, which I think might have been a little unusual back then. The hospital in which we were born no longer exists, surprise!, so that is a small hurdle. I haven't sent for any non-ID info yet, but I have the forms, just have to sit down and get it done.

| Comments: | Hello! I am searching for my birth family, I was born 5/7/1980 in Gatesville Texas! I have 3 older sister's there names are Tosha, Bridgett, and Sophia! They were also put up for adoption! We moved too the state of Michigan in 82 lived down by Detroit and my Father moved us in with his Step Father! Tosha remained in the Young foster home down in Strilling Heights Michigan, Bridgett was in a group home in Yspialanti Michigan, and Sophia was adopted out by a family, not sure of there last names! My Mother's name was Lily Brindley when I was born and my Father's name was Robert Gotham, they were both 25 in 1980 when I was born! I also have two step brothers one is Robert Sembarski and he was adopted by his Maternal Grandparents in 88, but they are both gone now there, Grandfather's name was Leo Sembarski!
