| Comments: | I need you guys' help. I was a 911 dispatcher for 10 years and LOVED my job. I was one of the best in the county. Here's my problem. My 19 year old daughter was killed in a car accident in 2002. Her car flipped and landed on top of her. My Mom had died 2 months earlier. After I went back to work I couldnt handle the stress anymore, I ended up quitting. I want to apply for disability because I know there is no way I could go back to dispatching. I need to describe to these people just how stressful dispatching can be. I'm not very good with words and creative thinking. Any help would be greatly appericated.

I got to say it is a very exciting job and you have the power to help a lot of people. Our 911 center was ran out of a county jail under the Sheriffs Dept but a lot is changing now and even thow I am not with them any longer I only hope for the best for them That one day Pocahontas County will have a 911 Center that is operated the way it is suppose to be. Just because the Sheriff is over a 911 center they should still have to follow state regulations. |

My Name is Ken and I have ptc. I got the email where you joined the group and we are delighted to have you. I'm not surprised that you never heard of ptc as an RN. Most General Practicioners also have never heard of it. I went 8 years without a diagnosis, 2 neck surgeries (laminectomy on c-3,4,5,6,7 and discectomy on c 4,5,6), and countless doctors. I was a pastor when ptc hit me and later had to resign because of it. I have been humbly dubbed as the site pastor at yahoo. I look forward to your posts! |

I have always thought of us as the forgotten children under the stairs. Just releasing after a long night at work and thought I would just wrote ya a small note. And from one dispatcher to another a great big THANKS! We all need to tell each other that every once in awhile, cause I know from experience that we don't hear it often enough.

| Comments: | I was actually looking for information about a science-fiction fan artist from years agone, but this page (this guestbook) was one of the sites Google popped out.
But it sounded interesting, so i poked around a little -- did you pass your boards? My brother-in-law is an EMT in North Carolina (as well as doing beautiful woodwork), and i've known other EMTs over the years. Frankly EMT, fireman or police officer are all jobs that i could not possibly do, because i couldn't deal with the suffering you'd see.
