Just got your e mail!!
Oh Bless you Dear Orla!!!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to write back to me. It's just after 8 a.m. here, I just got your e mail, and I am in tears of joy! Thank you sooo much!

I Love your newest CD. I knew it would be just beautiful too!! Dear lady, you will always have my support. You, are a 1st class act. No one else ever has taken the time to write to their fans as you have with me. I can imagine you must be so terribly busy in life these days.
If you ever do come to the Los Angeles area. I'd love to know in advance, I do owe you such a big hug and a thank you.
I am, as I type this, listening to your c.d. once again. "Distant Shore". I've got goose bumps so bad, they hurt! LOL!!!
I have for some time, been into graphic art. It is my passion really. I have in the planning, a portrait of a certain beautiful music artist that sings so beautifully, and plays the harp better than Angels!
I wonder if I could send it to her when I'm done? I wanted to send you some samples of my work, but I don't have a way here to do that.
Portraits are what I do. Like the magical music you create, I love what I do so much. And I have been so inspired.
I would LOVE to send a portrait your way. It may be a while though, as I am quite busy with current projects. But, if you would like one, a promise is a promise.
And I promise you will get one. To pass on to whomever you would like to. It's no trouble. As I said. I do love what I can do with art.
I am sure you must get tons of gifts from fans. I have recently drawn up one portrait for Mairead Nesbitt, and auctioned it off. All the money raised, went to a charity she sponsors. "Oxfam Ireland Unwrapped." At this point in time, she has no idea the amount raised. Well, it's over $1000.00. I'll say that much.
I will be delivering a portrait to Dear Ms. Chloe Agnew in November, on the tour, and to Lynn Hilary then too.
I do understand about having one's privacy. If there is a fan club address in which to send it, then that would be best.
Dear Lady, I could write volumes. But I know you must be so busy, and I've written so much here already. In closing, just know that you have a friend though have not met me yet, that is truly grateful to you, for this wonderful & precious gift that you have shared with me.
One day, that hug WILL be yours as well. Once again, thank you so much..
. For everything. My gosh, I am in tears again! Truly, this is the stuff of life.
Sincerely & respectfully yours,
Glenn W. Skinner,
A.K.A. The Rotten Rebel

Then one day I was watching our local PBS tv station and I saw you and the other Celtic Women on the show, and I was blown away by your music and voices. I have become a big, big fan of yours and your music. Even had to go out and buy the DVD and cd's. Never thought an ol'e redneck like me would amazed and wowed by anything other than George Strait, and other country artist, but I was wrong. Thanks for opening my eyes and ears. Comments:Dear Ms. Orla,
It's nice to see that your career is progressing so nicely. I always enjoy your music. I especially enjoy the songs that
you sing in Gaelic. Just over 50 years ago I married an
Italian girl from northern Italy. It was many years later that I came to realize just how much the Celts influenced
that part of Italy. My father-in-law always called his pants "braccai" just as the ancient Celts did in 350 BC.
That was when he spoke dialect. In pure Italian, pants are
called pantaloni. It was the word braccai that made me
realize why the Italian song was in the album Celtic Woman. If you have not already done so I hope you will visit
Aviano, Italy and the surrounding area. If you do, try to
find some of the older Italians to speak with and ask them
to speak in dialect. You may be surprised to hear just how
much Gaelic is in some of their dialects. Every year the
people of Aviano dress up much like the ancient Celts and hold a dance. I lost my wife just a few months ago. April 2009 would have been our 50th anniversary but she didn't make it. Always keep a song in your heart and don't let life and your career stress you out. Silver

I have the DVD Celtic Women, A New Journey, the one that is recorded live at Slane Castle. There is a quick shot of a woman in the audience immediately following your performance of Carrickfergus. The camera captures the emotion on the womans face like nothing I have ever seen. She is smiling and has tears in her eyes at the same time. Every time I watch it, I back it up and look at it several times, it's easy to miss if your not really paying close attention. If you have seen this for yourself, then you know how we all feel when we see you perform.

I am an ELL (English Language Learner) Teacher in Twin Falls,Idaho, USA. I was introduced to your music by the PBS special airing of Celtic Woman's first DVD a few years ago. I saw Celtic Woman in Boise 2 years ago, and loved the show. I love your music so much because you sing with a deep sense of intimacy with the history, cultural backgound and spirituality your music reflects. I am also partial to stringed instruments. I play guitar (both acoustic and electric) as well as the electric bass, and I am currently learning to play the ukelele. I am excited to hear about your new opportunity to play with Jim Brickman, and will be looking forward to seeing the performance on PBS.
I am wondering when your new album is coming out. I am hoping it will be soon!! I would love to have several albums of your music because of the depth and annointing I sense when I listen to it. There are many great musicians worldwide, but few who also have an annointing to play or sing as you have. It reminds me of the annointing God allowed David to play under when he played for King Saul and soothed him in his troubled frame of mind. It's a powerful and refreshing thing, and it blesses me to hear you play. Thanks for sharing your music with us all, and I hope you continue to record more music as you are able to so we can enjoy it even more! God bless you!!
Sincerely,

Ruth Ann Helton

I really hope that no portion of your performance is cut from the video release as you were fantastic and everyone should have a chance to see you. I just wanted to tell you that my the course of my life has often left me numb to the things and happenings around me. Your voice and your words in the songs you sing deeply move me however, spiritually and emotionally. I see and feel great beauty to the point that I often feel my heart will burst. I wanted to say "thank you". It is unlikely that I will ever meet you in person, or that you might even read this note, but if angels truly sing and play harps in heaven....one of my first requests of God when I get there will be that you become my friend. I guess that's all I know how to say. Take care of yourself.

I loved yur solos, and that your lovely acdent came thru when you were singing. My favorite part of the show was when you all sang together, your harmonies were superb. I will be looking forward to "Guide Me Home" being available and listening to more of your music. Best Wished in your solo career, and I hope you will be able to play some venues in Richmond or Norfolk Virginia as you are familiar with the Chrysler Hall and the Landmark Theater. Best Wishes. Orla is the most wonderful singer and musician and has caused such a change in the style of music that I love. Celtic and Irish music is so beautiful and having heard it sung by Orla makes it even more wonderful. I hope someday that I will hear and see Orla on stage performing with Celtic Woman again. I recently participated in an auction that is helping our friend, Kelli. The item I bid on was your CD and I am so excited that I was the highest bidder. Rich is mailing it to me, soon I hope. I have had a copy of your CD for a long time, but I never got to meet you when you were on tour with Celtic Woman, and never got your autograph. It will mean a great deal to me to have this autographed copy of your CD, because it is from you, and because it was for a great cause of helping Kelli.
I attended another Celtic Woman concert last night. The girls are doing a great job and I love the new show. Alex is fantastic, and is doing her part to keep the tradition of Celtic Woman going strong, but I still miss your presence, your voice, your spirit, your smile, your harp, your energy. I dream of a reunion someday, of all the beautiful women who have contributed to Celtic woman, being together on stage. Now, that would be a beautiful dream come true. In the meantime, I am eagerly awaiting your new album. I will be among the first on line to buy as soon as it is available. Best wishes to you with this album and with your trip to Cananda to tape the PBS special. I remain a devoted fan.

Comments:Orla,
I am a combination of jealous and stupid. My wife's note went through and mine did not. To make matters worse, you were kind enough to reply to her.
In all sincerity, you cannot appreciate how much your departure from the Celtic Woman has been missed by your fans. We have had the opportunity to see the Celtic Woman perform a total of four times at three different locations (Memphis, TN; University Park, PA; and Wilkes-Barre, PA). The performance was special to me because both my wife and myself felt like you were singing directly to us and continuing your song to the whole audience. This was one performance I wished we could have met you during the Meet and Greet.
I can fully appreciate your choice not to continue with the Celtic Woman Tour, at least at this time. How you ladies are able to be away from home for seemingly months on end is beyond me. I know from personal experience working for an automotive manufacturer, that just being away from my family for a week or sometimes two at a time that I missed so much.
I also see that you will be performing at Niagara Falls next month. I wish we could attend, but we truly have not had the time to visit our children-who at this point are about your age-or our other relatives in several years.
I look forward to your future performances, whether live or on a CD/DVD. I don't know whether to say you have a haunting, calming, or angelic voice, but please keep on performing! You are truly missed.

Comments:Hello Orla! I can't find the words to say how your lovely voice and harp talent have brought happiness into my life. I have met life-long friends through the Celtic Woman forum, and there are so many areas that have been enriched in my life because of you and the other CW members. I am very pleased for you to be having this much deserved solo career now that you have said your (I'm sure) teary goodbyes to your CW family. But you know they will always be your other family, and it wasn't really goodbye! I remember reading that you love horses... now maybe you can find a lovely horse and have a new friend for life!!! I will always keep you and your loved one in my prayers, and I look forward immensely to reading your newsletters and all the info on the fan site. A true blue fan forever, Mrs. Beverly Krebs (yes, I'm the girl who wrote you guys the poem entitled "The Music of Celtic Woman" - do you still have your copy? - I can email you another, if you like!!) I meant every word of it from my heart. God bless you, Beverly

Glenn, A.K.A. The Rotten Rebel here.
Just dropping a line simply just to say hello. Hope you are well. I sure do miss hearing you sing. Heck, I just miss you.
I cannot wait to hear this next C.D. that you are working on. If you can, in the next few weeks, check out Mairead's forum web site.
I will be posting a portrait of her, and there will be a raffle. All the money raised, will go to her charity. (Oxfam Unwrapped). I'll drop another note when we get the raffle up & running.
I was wondering, if you have a charity that you sponsor. Drop me a line if by chance you do. Maybe I can do something to help. P.S. I still owe you that Big Hug.
Take care Pretty Lady!
Sincerely & respectfully yours,
Glenn, A.K.A. The Rotten Rebel

Comments:Hi Orlagh!

Well, just read the inaugural edition of your newsletter. Wow, what great stuff there! You really are just a lovely, down to Earth lady doing what The Lord put you here to do, and that is give the world beautiful music.

How wonderful and exciting to work with some very familiar members of Celtic Woman on your CD. How cool is that doing a song written by Ray Fean! I should have known he wrote songs too! Maybe some day a Celtic Woman will sing one of my songs.

Have a wonderful time with Jim Brinkman and the rest at Niagara Falls. That is going to be a beautiful creation. It really is nice seeing you doing all of these things in your solo career. I love to see Mairead doing the whole Tinker Bell thing too to build on her solo future as well whenever she makes the decision to follow that path. You have a wonderful following over here and I'm not alone in awaiting the first Orla tour in the U.S. God's blessings on all your creative efforts, and thanks again for bringing music back into my life.

All the best, Scott

My name is Autumn. I am 13 years old, and i am in the eighth grade in Virginia. I just want to say, your music is absolutely incredible, and nothing I play on my instrument can match the talented things you have either written or played. I am working hard on playing/singing isle of inisfree, and a few other soft pieces. My Church choir director is helping me with that.

I just want to let you know that you are amazing!!
Thank You for being who you are!!
