| Comments: My pairents live in Adelaide SA and they still have my grandmothers A40 Somerset (in addition to a 1953 Austin 2 ton truck). I have vivid memories of my grandmother stalling the car in the middle of the hiway (still gives me nightmairs! ). When I started to drive it I came to apprecite how bad the clutch realy was. It was either on or off, there was no inbetween. Ofcource the 3 speed column shift didn't help. Its color was the same Britsh green. The nice thing about working on the car was the abundent room around the engine! | |

I had never seen one of these little beasties on the road in my life before I found the one I now own. like yours mine is a 1954,with the same original color scheme. Your car is all original, but my plans call for keeping the appearance original, but putting a chevrolet camaro v6 in it. In the U.S.A.,a lot of kids are putting together high performance hondas. To me that's just plain dull. I am an eccentric who loves cars, and this a-40 will make the perfect, family oriented, yet understated high performance, stablemate to my 1969 austin-healey, arkley bodied,sprite. I will paint mine two-tone silver with black fenders to emulate the traditional rolls-royce look. Anyhow, your website is great, and when my car is finished, i'll send you a pic.
