It says alot for Jenny that she is on the same cd as Eva Cassidy. And I love the song "Home" by Jenny. I love all the songs on "Soul on Fire". I can't wait till the next cd. Jenny is a great writer and singer. After listening to her cd a few times, I doubt if she would consider outside material. She doesn't have to. She's got what it takes to write hit songs. Thanks for the kind wishes on this sad day of remembrance. One of the things that I did today was to make sure to listen to Soul on Fire. It arrived on my doorstep one year ago today. Like everyone else in this country, I was in a state of shock. I was also concerned about your safety as I knew that thousands of New Yorkers were dead. When I first put on the CD, I thought that the timing of its arrival was dreadful. But only one listen helped me to see that it could not have come at a better time. This is not the place to go into a long story about how much the CD calmed me during the days and weeks ahead. But listening to Amen repeatedly kept reminding me (when nothing else seemed to be working) that I needed to let it go, at least in terms of not letting it drive me crazy with the anxiety and fear that threatened to overwhelm me. It is a sad day. Music is an outlet for surviving the bad times and your music was a wonderful gift during a time that got to all of us. It's nice to know that when September 11 rolls around, Soul on Fire will always provide inspiration for me. Hope your gig tonight goes great! Tim |

I saw you perform at McFoster's Natural Kind Cafe in Omaha on 4/22/02. I was absolutely blown away! Unfortunately for the artist, music in restaurants kind of becomes background music. But with you, that was impossible! I couldn't NOT stop listening. Your music became more interesting than my dinner, which is a feat in itself! I bought your CD when I was there. I think I bummed you out, though, when I said, "Sorry," when you said this was the first time you'd been to the midwest. We just get bitter out here in the middle of the country!
