Comments:Jerry Lee,

I met you on a Monday Morning in the early 80's in Augsburg West Germany after you did the show in Munich Germany on Sunday night. I played the Sax then and since my bout with cancer in 2000 and 2001 I had to give it up. You told me to never give it up but things just happen. We had a wonderful talk and you said to come see you again.

Well you will be in Rockville Maryland this Friday and I will be there.

It's been a long time and I really am excited to hear those wonderful songs again. My better half will be there also and is really looking forward to it. Will give a full report on Saturday.

Would love an address for Jerry to get an autograph on a vintage photo!

Comments:Whelp, I have listened to Jerry Lee my whole life. EVERY SINGLE DAY NEARLY! I saw him in Florence, Alabama on January 7, 2006. That show was the most awesome show in the history of music shows.

If anyone recorded that show, they should put it to record. That was the best show you could ever hear.

Jerry Lee came out and sang his first song, then after that He started complaining that he couldn't hear himself on stage and the piano was out of tune. It SOUNDED AWESOME!!!! But he said he wasn't going to do another song until these things where fixed. The crowed went nuts! One jerk yelled out "turn up your hearing aid Jerry"....Had Jerry herd this clown I am sure Jerry would have left the stage after the first song. I am surprised this guy wasn't attacked. The crowd was madly in love with the Killer and they would defend him. They LOVED everything he did or said. Jerry has that thing that Elvis Presley had, that you can just look at him and that is all it takes. SUCH a super charisma. But Kenny Lovelace came over and calmed the killer down and the show went on. Jerry laughed it off and played it up. AFTER about 3 songs he asked for a drink because his throat was dry. He was brought a Sprit drink in a can. He made jokes that all he gets is a Sprit after all that work. The crowd went nuts. They started chanting "Jerry Lee We love you"..... he said " I love you to".

He rocked that show and sang a number of ballads. He blew my mind. I wish that they would put out a bunch of live albums of him NOW! He is like a good wine, he just get's better with time. I PROMISE YOU THAT THE FLORENCE, ALABAMA SHOW IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST ( to me the VERY BEST) shows in the History of show biz!

It was radio station WNAT in Natchez, MS. My dad also owned radio KFNV in Ferriday, LA. I will be at the show in Florence, AL January 7, 2006. My dad is buried there. I would like to "donate" a copy of the picture to Mr. Lewis for his use in his various museums or his book or whatever. I have tried for years to catch up with him to no avail. I used to live in that area myself and played some music with Billy Earheart before he was in the Amazing Rythmn Aces. Please let me know if Mr. Lewis is interested in receiving a copy of this picture.

I must add that the movie Great Balls Of Fire did not lend itself true to the concert performed in London England, from what I have read it had to be the wildest and biggest concert ever, am I correct?

When ,as a Memphis radio personality ,I played many of
the records. I will always remember his visits to
WHBQ TV to tape for GK's Talent Party and the consequent
nites on the town. Although I have been sober for 24 years
I still cannot understand why we never got GK to take a
drink. He may have missed the goin up.
Killer: I heard Kris as he was writing "The Pilgrim Chapter 33" and as he has said, it started out about
my lifetime friend Chris Gantry ,but come to think it
it IS about YOU ....and me too!

Comments:I've been following Jerry Lee's career since it started back in 58. I've seen him in person at least 4times. I believe the first time was in 64. He had just put out the album, "The Greatest Live Show Ever" I saw him in Seattle, Washington at the Exhibition Hall at Seattle, Center. In fact I walked up to him after the show and my wife and I had spoke with him. We felt bad because he had gotten harassed by the audience. This was after the debacle over his marriage to his cousin. I saw him again in 68 at the Opera House. After he went Country. I still have most of his albums. I try not to miss seeing him when he gets into the area. And I'm looking forward to his next C.D. Thanks Bob Kahlor

Please let us know what the first single will be off the new album so that everyone can request it on the radio, since there is usually a single released before the album. If you live in the u.s. request it on country stations. It will have a much better chance of getting played on country stations than rock whatever the single may be. I hope it will be a huge success. I am 26 years old and i tell everybody how good jerry is but a lot of people my age don't know a lot of his music other than GBF. I hope they will now. thanks ROCK ON!!!

Comments:Hello Mr. Lewis,
You may remember me ,Al Embry and I had a run in with a Motel owner from India in Nags Head NC ,in 1986 ,July4th.
You had played for a DR who was female and owned the club and they thought you were gonna leave without paying your bills. On July 5th Saturday, Your Sister Linda Gail ,Al Embry and I went to the desk and "He paid for all the rooms by throwing 8 $100.00 bills at the manager, when the bill was $750.00 or something and had the owner know that he was in America,And Jerry Lee Lewis Pays his bills" and told him that the $20.00 he gave me for helpin get your luggage downstairs ,the Manager wanted it cause I was a Maintnence man and not a luggage handler. Al made me sign a receipt so he couldn't take it out of my check.
And Jerry Lee Lewis Pays his bills" , Mr Embry and some of your guys had been seeing me play in the pub downstairs and had said he would try to get a chance for me to meet you before ya left the Hotel, we happened to meet in the elevator Doorway on your way down .That 4th of July I'll never forget,You were Smokin a real nice pipe at that time. Its funny The Hindu Prince fired me that next day Sunday July 6 and told me I wouldn't play in his pub again . I hope all the fellas you were playin with in Nags Head NC and Miss Linda Gail are all doing ok and MR.Embry. I lost my health to blood clots taking 30% of my right lung so I'll never fly or do any construction again ,But God gave me music and writing ,waking up in the middle of the night and having to write that song before I could sleep again I've got around 200 since starting in 1975 .But I'm Glad too see your going back to Europe and Hope you have a "Killer " Tour.
We'll all be glad when you're back in Nesbit. I'm finally doin well enuff to make it to Lancaster SC in Nov. to record 32 of the songs I told ya about in the elevator that day while you held the door while we shook hands and spoke before you fella's left for air plane out in Elizabeth City NC ,July 5,1986, And as you told me then "Your Music will happen when its time" and then Grab hold and let it roll".I have been wood-sheddin to long. After Lancaster I'll do Prep for Duplication and my wife will take cover pictures and Graphics and some back-up vocals and guitar i waited and God sent me a wonderful wife, she sings ,plays guitar is doing some writing herself and my son Tommys' birthday is Sept.29 in 1989 ,and he has picked up guitar as well so with the girls we got enuff for a band afta while. Take Care and God Bless your tour and have a safe journey home. I hope to visit Nesbit in the future. I have several friends in Quitman, MIssissippi and Georgia,so if I do any traveling I will have CD's and T-shirts one to match each of the CD's produced.I will send you one to the Fan club Address or to the Nesbit mailbox. So if ya get something from a PO Boy Playin Good Ole ,Field Holler, Eastern NC Swamp Music Then You'll KNow its From Me.

Elton and I worked in a night club band in a suburbs of Atlanta, GA. for about a year. He went directly from our band to tour with Jerry Lee. I can see his head in the background on two different stage pictures. Elton was a very good drummer and performer. Elton, if you read this, drop me a line via the email address, or go the my website and look at my videos that I now produce and direct.

Comments:MAIL FROM JIMMY AND TALKED TO PHOEBE AND KENNY: RELAXED 70TH BIRTHDAY FOR "THE KILLER"

Close to 21.00 P.m. I received an e-mail from Jimmy (Rip) in which he said "I just spoke to Jerry who sounds great . The Thailand show went well ." Shortly after midnight I phoned the ranch myself to ask if there was any birthdaycake left and Phoebe, who answered the phone, said she was just putting the icing on the cake while Jerry was resting. She and Jerry had decided to make it a relaxed birthday since he'd just gotten back from the exhausting trip to Thailand. So it was just Phoebe, Jerry and the dogs at the ranch today.
Shortly after I got off the phone with Phoebe (great conversation, really enjoyed it) I called Kenny who was very enthousiastic about the Thailand show (he said Jerry had really given them an excellent show there), the people, the hotel etc. If I understood him correctly he'd missed a connecting flight while on his way to Thailand and as a result of that had had to make the loooooong trip all by himself! Poor Kenny, I felt really sorry for him when I heard that but he said the trip went well though.

Comments:A MESSAGE TO THE JERRY LEE FANS FROM "THE KILLER'S" PRODUCER JIMMY RIP

Yesterdaymorning Jimmy Rip, producer of The Killer's forthcoming album "The Pilgrim", sent me the following reaction to the petition that has been started on The Jerry Lee Lewis Start Page to urge Columbia/Sony to release Jerry Lee's new album as soon as possible and asked me to pass it on to all the fans:

I'm all in favor of the petition , BUT , everyone should know that Sony is really positive and excited about The Pilgrim . It's wonderful that people want to let Sony know how much they're anticipating the release , but , negative messages about boycotts could defeat your purpose. Sony will do great things for Jerry. They've only had the completed record for a few months . The reason it's taking time is so they can get everything in place for Jerry Lee and The Pilgrim to have a great 2006 . So.... the best thing ya'll can do is let'em know you're out there waiting , keep your messages positive , buy 2 copies in February and give one to a friend.
Thanks
Jimmy Rip

Comments:MAIL FROM JIMMY RIP; PRODUCER OF JERRY'S FORTHCOMING ALBUM "THE PILGRIM"

Received some new mails from Jerry's producer, Jimmy Rip, who returned to the studio again recently to record a new Ivan Neville album for which he used the same team of musicians that also backed Jerry on most of the recordings for "The Pilgrim". Of course Jimmy himself can also be heard on the Ivan Neville recordings (on guitar as usual).
Please find the most interesting excerpts from Jimmy's mails below:

Hey Tex,
Kenny was here in LA recording all week . I am producing a country record with Ivan Neville singing which we hope to have out very soon.
The plan is still to have The Pilgrim out at the beginning of 2006 (on Sony/Columbia).

Hang in there .
Jimmy Rip (Sept. 20th)

Howdy Jimmy,
About the recordings for the Ivan Neville album; Kenny informed me Ivan plays keyboards on 'em, Jim Keltner drums, Hutch Hutchinson bass and Greg Heis steel (don't know the correct spelling of his name, can you help me out??).

God Bless,
TEX (Sept 21st)

The steel player on the Ivan Neville record is Greg Leisz , he also plays on several songs on The Pilgrim .We recorded 14 tracks in 5 days and hope to get it out soon with some of the proceeds going to the victims of hurricane Katrina (many of which are Ivan's family, who all lost their houses in New Orleans). Ivan does a heartbreaking version of Willie Nelson's " Who'll Buy My Memories" along with songs by Waylon ,Kris and Fogerty.

Comments: Hi my name is Vickie, and I have liked Jerry Lee ever since I was 12 saw him in Danvilla Virgina. He was traveling in a car and almost rode off Lover's Leap. I can remeber telling my parents, how i wish they had left me at home but to my surprise I was pretty glad they had because of his piano playing won me over. I said then I will say it now no one can ever fill his shoes in this business.
As I got older my parents would take just about everywhere they could to see him. I can only think now how proud my dad was of him and when we would go see him he always had a good seat for him to see because he was in a wheelchair and so many important people do not even stop to talk to a person in a wheel chair.
On my next Birthday I will be 50 and I hope he will still be rocking with me. Great to see so many people still love and respect him. Know this is getting boring but I could write about him all day long.

If anyone has pictures, I would greatly appreciate if you could share some with me because about four years ago my house burned only one room and guess it was the storage room we had for all of our favorite things. Anyway would like to hear from anyone.
