I have met JLL a lot of times all over Europe, we have been together backstage many, many times in the 70 - 80- 90- years. He have been playing for me and my friend Hans Jabell in different hotels allover Europe after the shows in the hotels after the shows.Kenneth Lovelace and James Burton have been to our homes in sweden for dinner, and afterwords playing gitar for us. That folks, that was fantastic times. We are going to Helsinki in august now to try to meet JLL again, last time in Helsinki, JLL and I was sittin in the hotel and speaking for about 2 hours about the life,the taxes, the womans and drogs and alkohol. | Comments: | I have just discovered this site, after surfing the net to see if I could find out whether The Killer was still alive and still singing. Delighted to find he is alive and well! I first saw Jerry in Melbourne around the early 70's. I went to two concerts at Melbourne's Festival Hall, and they were both fantastic. I saw him again about fifteen years ago when he did a concert with other R & R greats, called the Legends Of Rock, and he stole the show! I think that was the last time he was here, but I might be wrong. Hate to think we missed him if he had come to Melbourne since then! Does anyone know if he will ever tour here again?

I thought I had all of Jerry Lee's studio recordings in my posession (except for the Caribou Sessions & Live At Hank Cochran's), but I hadn't heard this one before. It's not the early Sun Records version; nor is it the Southern Roots outtake or the version that appeared on the cd 'Killer: The Mercury Years, Vol. III (1973-1977). Does anyone have a clue? Two years ago , when I retired I have founded my 5 piece band The Shadoogies and we perform some of his hits. Look at my website for Great balls of fire .It's a pity I'm not a pianoman but a guitarist. Today I'm learning the piano and maybe someday I will be able to perform this hits singing and playing piano myself. Today I have bought the DVD Last man standing. It's great. I grew up with you all my life and remember that when I was like 12-13 years old I begged and pleaded to go see you in concert. Of course I was not allowed. So not my wonderful husband takes me to see you at Memphis in May as long as you are performing. Ik het The Killer nu zo'n 3 keer life gezien, in belgie en twee keer in nederland (paradiso)dit jaar heb ik gemist en daar baaaaaaaaaaaal ik echt van! | Comments: | Short but non stop high energy rock & roll shows at the Paradiso in 2004 (considering he'd also performed the previous two nights and it was the last show of that tour he did an amazing job and gave it all he had) and 2005. Last Saturday, after a long, tiring but successful tour, The Killer and his great band still managed to give us a longer show in Eindhoven and performed several songs most fans had never or hardly ever heard him do before. Jerry smiled when he climbed the stage, he smiled several times when he was on stage and when I thanked him for the show after he'd just left the stage he smiled again. I'm smiling while writing this..... |

Talks a little bit with his bandmembers but has no contact with the audience at all ! Just walks on stage, sings about 14 songs and leaves...I even wonder if The Killer likes what he'is doning. Teenager when "Whole Lotta Shakin'Goin'on" was created, I "looped the loop" yesterday night by living the Brussels Forest National Jerry concert. Nothing to add to the earlier today José Carlos comments but that Einstein was wrong when he claimed that time is compressing when one move near ligth speed !!! Time is indeed becoming also very short when Jerry enters a stage. His yesterday Belgian performance demonstrated it once again !!! If Einstein is right, the conclusion is that Jerry is like the light (or very close to :o)) "Light & Fire" is the answer, isn't? |

I went to Paris from Portugal just to see the Jerry Lee Lewis concert on the Palais du Congress. There is a ideal Room to receive a greatest show on the earth. The concert have a 1st part with Jean Jacques and his band. They are good on the blues of Mississipi, but what i want to see is the Real King. Till 1993 in Spain that I dream to see a second concert of Jerry Lee. So the time has come at 21h30. The show was fantastic. First the Killer Band do 4 songs. And then The Killer come to the party and there is a standing ovation to the King. The show start with Roll Over Beethoven, You belong to me, Why You been gone so long, You win again (by request), Before the night is over ( a excelente version), No Headstone on my Grave,Hadacol Boogie, As far as I'm Concerned (a beautiful song, I don´t Knew that song)), Sweet Little sxteen, That Kind of Fool (jerry said before that song he is doing one calm before the true Rock'n'Rool) and of course the bigest Rock'n'Rool songs: Greatest Balls of Fire and Whole Lot of Shakin' Goin'On. Jerry shoot the bank where he is sitting and thanks to the audience then walked of the stage and the band finish the show with a guitar duet (Kenny and of Whole Lot of Shaking. After a each piano solo, the audience there is a ovation of the public. The audience in "That Kind of Fool" do the audience clap your hands from the began to the end of song and the grestest ovation were to the final two songs. In the Whole Lot of Shahin the audience run till de stage to dancing and singing the song. There was the best concert that I have seen. Great Show of Jerry Lee. You are the Last Man Standing alive and King forever. Thank God You are living and I Hope for many years to do great shows and sharing join and hapiness. I hope see Jerry Lee again |

I just saw Jerry Lee in Oslo. A short, but still great show! The old man still knows how to handle the piano! I`ve seen Jerry 4 times now, and every time is almost like magic... Hope to see him again someday... Anyway, one guy here was questioning about mp3 or videorecordings from the shows in Norway/Sweden, and I know for sure that at least the show in Oslo was filmed, but I am not sure about the others...
