Also, I agree with the unified theory. Some of the crimes might be the work of others, but most of them were likely committed by one man. At first, I thought Goleta was possibly a mentally disturbed transient to bring a dog with him, but now DNA has proven the Sanchez-Domingo case was ONS. Maybe we will find out more in the future. Let's keep our fingers crossed! |

| comments: | I too think the guy is probably dead,but i have seen other cases .most notably [THE AMHERST N.Y BIKE PATH RAPIST} in which he went over a decade without committing a crime.The guys name was AL Sanchez and the police actually interviewed him as the result of a tip, cleared him to go on a rape and murder more woman. this case wont be any different if his identity is ever revealed.you will find he probably had been arrested for prostitution or other sexual crimes.he may even be a respectable person in the community,family nice guy etc.MY guess is he probably has raped more woman than the police know about.I read somewhere that the diamond knot killer called one of his victims in early 1990s. I think the investigators need to back to the beginning and start from there, as they did the B.P RAPIST. that's how they solved that 3 decade long mystery. |

It is all so very improbable after three decades.More than likely he has been dead more than twenty years already.No children,no living relatives. . .. It's only my opinion. It was the scariest time especially when you are only 7. My mom believes he was in our home when they returned home and a sliding glass door was open. It was a very hard period to live through.

be advised-- any links between the Goleta crimes and the rest of the crimes is conjectual. There is no physical evidence linking the three Goleta crimes to the rest (although there is PE linking the three Goleta crimes to each other). TV shows imply a strong link but this is based on presumed similarities in MO, not any physical or forensic evidence. SB has long been hesitent to link these crimes with other couples attacks because the killer seemed a lot less competent in Goleta than elsewhere and there was a good local suspect who died right after the third murder. |

I was SHOCKED to learn last night from the television special that these crimes were/are linked and that some of that was known at that time and would have been very useful. I do not understand what our detectives were thinking or doing! Or, perhaps they just didn't want to share info with the "new kid." They were focused on a local that lived in the area of the murders in Goleta. They never mentioned anything to us coming in later that there was any possible connection. I recall them specifically saying there appeared to be no connection to any other crimes in Ca. Incredible to learn this as a result of a very good tv program.
Also, it was shocking to hear Richard Haas state that because we had no internet we were somehow incapacitated. Richard, we had phones! There were newspapers too. I used them frequently and managed to help solve a serial murder in a neighboring community. Thanks to everyone of you detectives you have worked tirelessly on this case to the present. It is truly a msytery that needs to be solved. |

| comments: | Matt, there is little info on the I-70 Killer online. I live near the Raytown murder scene and have visited the site. The name is a bit of a misnomer. The Raytown site is hardly right off I-70 and some of the murders took place off I-35 not I-70. This person only operated for a short period of time for whatever reason although i think Ohio or Indian staties believe there is a truckstop killer operating in their states right now. |

| comments: | The sadistic rape,torture and murder of human beings and other living creatures are not qualities to uphold,no matter how cleverly and/or skillfully carried out.This man I believe is still very much with us,but has made an internal transition in his life that removes him from the actions and effects of his crimes.
I Agree with one of his victims interviewed that his drives and needs to carry out his crimes came from deep within,and therefore were a necessary form of self validation.Also,unlike past criminals,like BTK,EAR-ONS did not have a need to communicate his actions to the authorities or The Press as a means of gratification.The sheer physical stamina,stealth and statigic execution were enough reward and compensation for any short-comings he might have felt.In affect,the success of his actions may have resulted in a therapeutic cure...at great cost for others.I do however postulate that in his most private moments,he has a need to handle those momentos of his past accomplishments,or revisit in daylight the scenes of those crimes. |

| comments: | After extensive research. I have concluded that the EAR/ONS is a friend I had in the US.Air Force, while we were stationed at Clark AB Philippines in 1974. He had previously been stationed at McClellan AFB, working as a parachute rigger. He would know how to tie the diamond knot, was sexually confused and fits the profile in looks and personality. He was originally from the south side of Chicago and may know be living in Mission Viejo, CA. I believe he attended college on the G.I. Bill starting about 1976. His name is Michael Pierzchalski and now would be 54 years of as of 2007.
Also another likely suspect who I have researched extensively lives in Sacramento,Ca. at present. He has close ties to Southern, CA. through business. His name is Arnold Swartzeneggar. I challenge anyone to obtain his DNA and turn it into L.E. And when your done with your laughing and ridicule of my p.o.i.. do thorough research from the day Arnold was born to the present. |

Roswell is the UFO-believer's Holy Grail, even though the truth has to be stretched in many ways to believe it really happened. A book I recently read was written by a former true believer who had even written several pro-Roswell books. however, once he started probing deeper 9using in particular the 1997 USAF report), he discovered that many of the proported facts were not os and many of the witnesses proved to be unreliable (a duh since most were interviewed from 30 to 50 years later!). He alos discovered the ethos of the true believers which was a willingness to believe even the most flimsy of information that supported their predetermined theory. How does this apply to this case? When I first read about it, I felt it was one attacker everywhere. The tv shows and most newspaper clippings distinctly give that impression and imply that all the crimes were similar and undisputedly linked. However, a more thorough look at the crimes shows many differences between them. The Goletas resemble each other but have distinctive features separate from the others. The Sacramento crimes show a combination of sloppy and not sloppy attacks overlayed on top of each other in time. And the killer mysteriously changed his choice of targets only in Irvine. Like the former Roswell true believer, I think the original theory does not survive a thorough analysis of the cases. There is a lot more going on here Simply claiming one guy with odd mood swings and geographically varying competency levels did everything does not fly. There is a lot more going on here than that. |

As you may have noticed, some parts of the site are not complete yet including the explanation of the unified theory and, really, a good concise explanation of the copycat theory. I saved those for last until I had all the documentary stuff posted. I'd also hoped that someone who is a solid believer in the unified theory wolud be willing to write that section, although I am sure I could do it justice if I had to (after all I used to believe it too until I found out more details about the crimes and the existence of the Bedroom Basher. I got interested in the case through one of these people who thought they had an encounter with the attacker back in the 1970s. That interest started in 2001 when the Sacramento DNA link was made and my acquaintance was prompted to tell me the story. There were no places to read about the case as no books have been written about it. I created this site to fill that void. |

| comments: | Since first seeing the A&E Cold Case Files presentation, I have been absolutely fascinated by this case and have looked at every website for information. This website, however, is the best there is! It ia definitely the most comprehensive information assembled on what is, in my mind one of the most overlooked criminal cases in our history. Have any books been written, or planned, on this subject? I am always looking in the bookstores, but so far have not seen anything. Someone, somewhere out there knows either who the killer and rapist is, or knows some piece of important information that will solve these crimes.

If that is your picture up above, you look a lot younger than you sound online, but you seem to really know your stuff about this baffling case. He (or they) should be punished soon!!
