| Comments: | hey joaniehead.. i just wanted to say i'm sorry for what you've been going through with the psychiatrist stuff. for some ungodly reason, it's more difficult to find a good psychiatrist than any other medical professional. i've been to see five different doctors without having made any type of progress whatsoever. i guess the only advice i can give is just don't give up, and don't settle for second rate treatment. you deserve better than that. i hope you're feeling better soon.

I saw a caterpiller yesterday on our doorstep. That means you should stop being stressed. Aaron did that once--the whole pizza oven thing. Well, ours was more...Aaron forgot to take the plastic off... And it melted right over the pizza and onto the oven rack. Once we finally discovered this, we turned the oven off and it was amazing. The pizza came off the plastic as smooth as a Pam sprayed thing. And the plastic just popped right off, all in one piece. Aaron kept the plastic for a really long time as a souvenior of his experience. I'm done cluttering your book. Hehe. *ZWolf |

gbook. i've been thinking a lot lately about how you and i haven't been talking much. i'm pissed at myself because the one time recently was when i needed help with the french translation for that story. :( so i'm sorry i'm like a wanker and a half. i just never feel like i have anything important to say. though, since i'm on a roll here with the lengthy talking, i'll just keep it going. (side note: my basement smells like camping right now.) i think you're right about this whole joy and life thing. and i think it's perfectly all right to go to such lengths to see the people that make you happyinlove (in the most platonic sense, of course). i was astounded when a few of my friends promised to hurdle the fourteen hour drive to boston from here to come visit me during the school year. i know certain people that i just love uncontrollably, and they make me happy. and if i could drive like that, i'd drive to see them. yeah. and take jim for example? i've endured more than a year of this being apart silliness because he means that much to me and i love him. i woke up this morning thinking about him, and about how i only have to wait seventeen more days until i can see him for more than a week. it's insane. i've been thinking a lot lately. i don't write as much in my journals as i used to. and by 'used to,' i mean, 'when i was bulimic and clinically depressed.' which sucks. because i'm happy now (or mostly) and i want to write down things that mean something to me, but i can never seem to find the words, or i'm too busy experiencing them to document it all. but i love the way it feels to fill up pages and pages of my thoughts and everything. in my sophomore year of high school, i filled up three 120-page notebooks and wrote more than 300 poems. in my junior/senior years, i filled one 120- page notebook and wrote about 25 poems. on a conscious level, i know that it doesn't make it a less valuable period of my life, but some part of me wonders if it meant as much because i wasn't suffering. i guess i should know better (especially because i still had/have my moments) than to think that my worth or the worth of my experiences is measured in moments of pain. in all honesty, i believe i'm much better off now, but i would never change any of the experiences i had. i lay in bed last night thinking about this whole concept. i am such a complete person in a lot of ways, and dreadfully incomplete in others. and i don't think that my life would have the fullness that it has if i hadn't experienced what i did. so i'm grateful for it all, even the bad shit, but at the same time i'm a little bit embittered about it. i guess the bitterness comes from feeling that despite all my busyness and fullness and whathaveyou, at the end of the day i still wonder just as much as i did before. so maybe i'm stronger and a bit wiser, but is it enough? i hate it when i doubt myself because i'm supposed to be this really self-assured person that everyone looks up to or something equally fucked up. when it comes to the future, i'm set. i think it's true that you can be objective about pain once you're no longer experiencing it. and i'm objective, but sometimes i actually miss all the bullshit i went through. it somehow made me (delusionally?) believe that i was deeper, and more human. maybe i'm not getting enough sleep and that's where all this weirdness is coming from. or maybe it's because it's been months since i've even written something worthwhile. at any rate, why do i feel so sad? |

got that gbook message you posted about an hour ago, and decided that it called for a prompt reaction. The reaction? Me writing in YOURS. How do you like them apples? Ooo. Okay, so. Painting teachers can suck, but it's neat how they sometimes just don't? I don't know. I've never had a teacher specifically for painting, but my art teacher last semester did mostly painting (and figure drawing), and she was a real wank. All the time. SO. I keep hearing things about "Hannibal," the movie? And I want to see it very badly, but everyone's always like, "Oh, it sucks," and some people are always, "OOO! Excellent film!" and I want to know which it is! I don't want to go and have a movie like that ruined for me! I loved "Silence of the Lambs!" I'm so torn! Bwu.. not happy. So.. Boys *are* stupid. Especially when you like them, because then they piss you off and you feel like, "eh.. maybe I'll keep him around just a bit longer" and it always ends up forever-like, which is good, except you get pissed off a lot. Sometimes. Maybe not. I dunno. It's been a while since I got really pissed off. A long while. I dunno why. I get happy, but I don't get pissed off. I guess that's good. I've stopped holding grudges.
