I purchased my "Iron Resolve" print, sight-unseen, in our dusty TOC sometime during our final months in An Najaf. As you well know, that was over a year ago. I hadn't received it to this point. Just days ago, my old section sergeant contacted me to tell me that it has been sitting on my old 1SG's desk for some time now. I am incredibly excited to finally receive this piece of my past so fantastically captured by your incredible talent. On behalf of the "TOW freaks", Apache Troop, and the Iron Dukes, thank-you. I only wish my father-in-law was still alive, he served as a company commander on the Eastern Front in the 19th Panzer Division where he was wounded and later served as personal adjutant to General Heinz Guderian. Your art work on the Panzertruppen would have been worthy gifts to him. Nonetheless keep up your fine work.

NAME: Christopher J. E-MAIL: candkcichon@comcast.net FROM: Olympia, WA COMMENTS: I am a artistically challenged except for stick-figures and good drafting/technical drawing skills. I can remember when Jody's artwork first started appearing in "Armor" magazine. Being a WW2 amateur historian I was impressed with his attention to detail and knowledge of his subject matter. A drafters eye for detail and a Ernie Pyle realism that depicts, as if catching a moment in time, a picture that states “this is what it’s really like”. Knowing Jody’s great attention to detail, I noticed something interesting in his Modern Era U.S.A. gallery. It is the fourth picture down and the description reads: “Another theoretical tactical situation, featuring a proposed upgrade of the M113 troop carrier, with a substantial reactive armor package added. The soldier is crouched next to a portable TOW missile launcher.” Well the place looks pretty much like a third-world European country to start with. Now if you trace an imaginary line down from the M-113’s left front drive sprocket. Then another line going from right to left using the bottom edge of the TOW Launcher tube as a horizontal reference. You will see a interesting object. It looks like a human skull. So is this a subliminal reference to atrocities committed in the name of one cause or another? Or did we just find Waldo after he errantly wandered in to a hostile situation? “This We’ll Defend” “First Team” Best regards to all, Christopher Combat Infantryman and Bradley Master-Gunner
