| Comments: | My grandfather, Emery Warren Kelso 1917-1992 was born and died in Grundy County, MO. He had two sisters both still living. He married Grace Leona Dewitt 1917-2001. They had two daughters, both still living.
Emery Warren’s father was Robert Dale Kelso 1894-1987 born and died in Grundy County, MO. Married Ruth Mabel Hamilton 1897-1990. Robert Dale’s father was Joseph Warren Kelso 1869-1942 born in Rushville, Schyuler Co., IL, died in Grundy County, MO. Married Anna May Fleshman 1870-1925. Joseph Warren’s father was William Robert Kelso 1824-1896 born in Dearborn County, IND, died in Grundy County, MO married Elizabeth Gragg 1833-1913. This is where I’ve lost the trail. Family stores say William Roberts father was Robert John Kelso born in Scotland sometime around 1790 and came to the US as a boy or young man, with his family. Family lore also has him married to a Helen or Ellen Belnap (Belknap) out of New York. I’ve yet to find any trace of them. William Roberts siblings were: James (1810-1892). Harvey (David) (1811-?), Joseph (1813-?), John (1814-?), Henry (1817-?), Helen (Ellen) (1822-?) according to a story written out by a dying relative back in the 70s. Any help would be greatly would be greatly appreciated. All of my research is out on Ancestry.com under a members tree called ALZ. |

| Comments: | I don't know if anyone is missing the following Kelso's in your own Kelso line from Kentucky to Boone and Calloway Counties in Missouri, but I'm posting this for you, just in case. I just NOW found this.
SNEDICOR, Christopher Snedicor emigrated to America from Holland at an early date and settled in Greenbriar Co., VA. He left 2 sons, Moses and Isaac. The former served 7 years, and the latter, 5 years, in the war of the revolution. Isaac was married in Greenbriar Co., VA. to ELEANOR STORY, a cousin of CHIEF JUSTICE STORY, and after the birth of 3 children, they emigrated to and settled in Montgomery Co., KY. The names of their children were Abigail, James, Mary W., Rebecca B., Samuel, Parker and Isaac. James and Isaac married in KY., and settled in Alabama. After the death of their father, the widow and the rest of the children came to MO. in 1820, and settled in Boone Co. In 1825, all, except Abigail, removed to Callaway Co., and settled near Fulton. Abigail was married twice; first to a MR. EMMONS, and 2nd to a MR. FINLEY. Mary W. was married in Montgomery Co., KY. to JOHN KELSO, and they had Joseph G., Elizabeth J., Harrison W., Hesteran R., William D., Isaac S., Maria S., Samuel P., John M., and Adam C. Of this large family, only the mother, now in her 86th year of her age, and Harrison W., and John M., survive. Harrison Kelso lives in Kansas City, and John M. lives in Callaway Co., where he has always resided. ELEANOR STORY, the grandmother of these children, was born in Greenbriar Co., VA., in 1758. Kelso; 2]Alexander (1723 Scotland-d VA)and Mary (Blaird) Kelso; 3]Alexander (1758 VA-d. IN) and Mary Ann (Balch) Kelso, Jr; 4]Charles Blair (1785 TNd. IN) and ?? Kelso; 5]Alexander Blair (Jul 4, 1801-1806 TN-d.?) and Elizabeth (Hudiburgh) Kelso; 6]Mary Jane (August 21, 1836 IN-d. | Comments: | I am looking for my first cousins and their families, possibly in Pennsylvania. Our grandparents were William Alexander Kelso (1853 - 1938) and Anna Atkinson (1853 - 1921). They had two daughters, Florence and Mary, and five sons, Edmund, Herbert, William, Frederick and Harold. Fred was my father and I know the descendants of all the others except Edmund who migrated to New England at an early age and we think he had three children, Edmund, Harold (Buster) and Myrtle. It is these three or their descendants whom we want to get in touch with to complete our family tree.
