Her name was Isabelle Kelso and she was born on Feb. 6, 1875 in Philadelphia, PA. She married Albert Tomlingson Williams. They had 4 daughters. The oldest born in Philadelphia and the others in New York City. Isabelle died in NYC in 1904 some time after March because my grandmother was born in March of 1904. |

My ancestor, Samuel Kelso/Kelsey, settled in Fishing Creek, Chester County, SC, in 1787, after a time in Northern Ireland. Hi everyone! I'm trying to track down anyone with further info on the Kelso family from Corrie, Arran. I can get back to John Kelso, b. 25 Feb 1870 at Corrie, Isle of Arran, m. Annie Rowen Shaw from Barrhill, Ayrshire,; then migrated to Australia in later life. There seem to be a few Kelso families from Arran on the web, but I can't work out exactly where my John b. 1870 fits in. | Comments: | I am the last of my Kelso line. However I named my son Kelso. I can trace my ancestry back to John Kelso and Mary Polly Kelso in Kelso, Roxburgh, Scotland. They had four sons--Alexander, Joseph, Hugh and Thomas--before they immigrated to Virginia in the mid-1700's. My branch of the Kelso family moved from Virginia to Tennessee and finally to Texas in the mid-1800's. I have been doing genealogy for a couple of years and find it fascinating. |
