| Comments: | Wow! It warms my heart to read so many kind words for Rozz. He was most kind and gentle, as many of you have said. I created music with Rozz for many years, had his friendship for many more. I too, miss him dearly. We used to go trail hiking and exploring. He loved to laugh and make people laugh... Silly thing! His passion for writing music, creating and collaborating was quite intense. He was a humble soul, always open to the creative ideas of others. I simply wish I could have convinced him to quit using alcohol. I watched it kill him little by little, each day. Because I was drinking too, he did not think it effected him any more than he saw it effect me. It was for this reason, I had to leave him and our adventures behind. I deeply regret not spending much time with him the last year of his life. The last time we spoke, he had such a look in his eyes. I could not stay, I was in town for a short time. Four months later, he died. A little piece of who I am, died with him. Peace to you, my scorpio brother. |

| Comments: | I havn't posted here before, but while reading all of these comments, and reading and knowing so much about a man I've personally never met it kind of sinks in my heart. Giving me this feeling as though I had encountered a time of meeting someone just as great. Or perhaps reading, and listening to his music it just touches me knowing how great of a person he was, and how he is in our memmories. I thank him for writing the most beautifulest song ' flowers ' to become one of my favourites to listen to. Though he isn't around to this day, I wish I had the apportunity to see him in concert, or something of this sort.
May he live on throughout our thoughts and our lifes. Or atleast the lifes we will have, and hopefully he can hear our thoughts on him, and listen to how much we wish he were back. | Comments: | Today more than any other day my thoughts have turned to Rozz and how much of an angelic presence he truly was. I saw Rozz perform at the King's head Inn with Shadow Project on October 25th 1992. I was so fortunate to be able to see such a performer live. He was magnificent. I have never seen another performer who could outdo Rozz since then and this was a small venue. Before the show I will never forget how I felt when I saw Rozz walk in. I thought I had just seen the most beautiful person I would ever see for the rest of my life. He was the kindest and gentlest soul I could ever imagine him to be. I went up to him before the show and asked for his autograph and told him how much I loved his work and how happy I was to meet him. I was pregnant with my first child at the time and Rozz was so soft spoken and kind. He didn't mind me giving him a hug after I got his autograph. When I watched him on stage I stood in awe. I have never forgotten that night and it has been on my mind all day today. I truly miss him. Rozz brought beauty and gentleness to the goth scene although he may not have considered himself goth, he gave us an icon and true poetry to turn to in our darkest moments. To this day Catastrophe Ballet is my favorite Christian Death Album because it shows Rozz in all his beauty. I miss Rozz very much. The day I found out that Rozz was dead I was pregnant with my second child and I will never forget the sense of loss I felt. We lost an angel when we lost Rozz. |

I only wish he could have stayed around long enough for me to witness his true greatness in person. Sadly he didnt, but i am glad that i discovered his fabulous, fabulous work and art.
He touched my life and my heart in a way that nobody else has or ever will and i consider his death to have marked the loss of one of the most fantastic people to ever walk the earth. I adore him and miss him intensely. Im proud to call myself a fan of rozz and i love him forever. | Comments: | Life's but a dream.So was Rozz.I saw his band 10 years ago in Rome,Italy.I was more of a no-wave fan at the time.I listened to Lydia Lunch,Sonic Youth,Suicide and never was intersted in goth-snobs.A friend of mine told me that this was no goth-gig and anyways I should give it a try so off we went to the show.Their band was sensetional and Rozz was intense.To my eyes it seemed like Rimbaud was alive and singing in an avant-garde or punk (...whatever) band.The feeling that this man created cannot be described and to this day I still carry it with me.I know everybody else in the room that day does too.All i want to say is that Rozz can only die IN OUR "BLUE HEARTS".

| Comments: | I find it hilarious that even after death there are people who still want to concern themselves with another's sexuality. To be so ignorant to beleive that one aspect of this otherwise multi faceted entity might be pigeon-held into any category is simply assenine, regardless if it is musical style, art, literature, or "sexuality".
I am a bit older and I am more than proud to say that Rodger was the first man I ever kissed. Am I Gay,is Rozz Gay? it did'nt seem to matter much to either of us or his wife Eva sitting right next to us. Gay? Straight? art? music? these are all a few of the lables that rodger tried to destroy while he was here. I think the best way to honor him might be to not apply your labels to him after his death, he sure as hell wouldnt of accepted them while he was alive. If it is a memory that is needed to be preserved then preserve it. Come to Pomona, visit our cemetaries that gave birth to christian death lay eyes on the tombstone that gave us perhaps the best alter ego of all time. Do It Yourself like he would of done. Talk to his friend's (some of them are still around!) and truly learn something about the man who does deserve everything short of worship, and finally Listen to his word's and try to find a way out of your own "desperate hell" I think he would of wanted it that way |

| Comments: | I dont have any memories of rozz. oh, i have memories of
memories, pictures of pictures, so many, many copies of them, and an ache running through my veins, instead of the blood that should be there. I WANT memories. and yet he left me none. I fucking dont even have one memory of him living, breathing, crying, smiling, talking, moving or singing. SO WHY THE HELL SHOULD I HAVE TO FEEL THE PAIN?! I'm not angry with him, i could NEVER be angry with one such as him. I'm angry with myself. For thinking, for dreaming, for believing that there COULD be another chance, another time, another tomorrow. One in which he would be. But that was a lie. He was human, only human, and I followed the illusion , blindly, and still follow today, seeing him as god, seeing him as pure, seeing him as unbroken and as undeniable as the sunset over the oceans of blood that fill my head. But here I am today. All alone with a hole forever deep, and only as shallow as the tears that I've filled it with. Tears do not stay, instead they leave trails and stains and destruction, in their wake. This is my signature. I have none. I'm not even human, not even alive to the extent of living, only the air that forces itself in and out of my lungs, and the water that I absorb in my endless contentions with death, trying to fade among the maidens and peace of the sea, has kept me alive. I'm overly obsessed with fetus's. I look at them and wonder, "how come I was not allowed to stay a fetus, warm and safe inside my mother's womb?" and "How come I have to be in this wretched place, in this broken, unstable being.?" What if Rozz had stayed a fetus, aborted and disregarded as a "problem"? Maybe I wouldn't feel this pain. But then again I wouldn't know the beauty, or the sorrow of decay. Sometimes I watch the blood rush from my wrists to my finger tips, and wonder why I feel so different, so alienated, from everyone, if they all have always bled the same crimson blood as me. My hands are cracked and torn and kneed the covers of my bed, so fucking cold, through and through while I watch the sunrise, over this desolate earth. I know he's out there somewhere. I know its selfish of me to long for him, to cry for him, after he's seen the beauty of death, and felt the angels whispering their sweet lies into his ears. My flesh, sodden with the dirt of the most unholy of all sins, says different though, and as my lips ache for one more kiss, and my arms outstretch for one last embrace I'm reminded of my own humanity, and how I don't deserve another breath, tear, or day. Rozz, my last breath will be for you, my last screams will be forgotten, as I grab onto your wings and you carry me on your back to the place where you and all the other angels rest. Such a beautiful dream....you were always such a beautiful dream.... |
