Okay, big bit of news for those of you who know that this website still exists.

I AM ENGAGED!

Yes Indeed. I asked my wonderful girlfriend Alison to be my wife this Friday just gone and she agreed.
At the moment we estimate that the wedding itself will be sometime in 2006.

Also, I plan to have an entirely new website soon as I can badger a friend into building me one.

oops.

Yes, it's great, isn't it? Like a joke or something:

"Heard the one about the Scientologist horror writer? He admired R.L. Stine."

colin - Monday, June 30th 2003 - 10:09:25 AM

Hi Colin

It has been brought to my attention and it definatley 'aint me. I'm pretty sure I've heard of this guy before. There is no f**king way I would be inspired to write like R.L. Stine anyway.

Er, you do know about this guy, Jonathan, don't you?

Hi Babe

There's a chance that Punch Line will see uncensored life on a fiction website very soon. Once it has been up there for a few months I'll archive it here.

Please can you put up 'Punchline', Beastie, so that I can read it, Wri, as I know you didn't like the final version in the magazine as they cut it and changed the ending. SWINE! Hence, maybe it should be 'Punchline: Writer's Cut or Special Edition.'

Your loving Boo xx

Hi you funky hipster you!

Glad you like the site. Maybe it should just read "Jonathan Oliver: The horror, the horror!" at the top of the page and have a little movie of me wondering around in my pants, pissed as a fart, before falling face down onto a hardwood floor.
Well, I think that it would be nice. I'll have to talk to my webmonkey about it.
Anyway ladies and gents, the good news is that two stories may well be joining the archives in the near future. I have been asked to contribute a story to a website and my story The End of Easter has been up and running at www.ookami.co.uk so I think that it is time that it joins its brother and sisters in story limbo land here at my site.
As for my stuff, working on a new comedy set at the moment and a few new story ideas but as some of you know I am the world's slowest writer right now.

Keep on rockin' in the relatively free world.

Jon

Jonathan Oliver - Monday, June 9th 2003 - 09:47:43 AM

Hey big hairy dude,

Realised I'd yet to leave a message on your board. The site is grand! Very red and stuff, though I do think that the line at the top should actually read 'Horror, Author and Comedian'. (But then I'm letting my judgement be coloured by knowledge of your domestic habits...)

Speak to you soon, as you know, stuff will be cool,

love you more than Tarby,

Sam

Hi Francis

Many thanks for stopping by. Haven't been on RC's message boards for a week as I have been off on holiday in the lake district looking at nature and feeling all poetic. Many thanks for your positive comments about the site. I will pass them on to my designer who did this for one of his University projects. Anyway, let me know what you think of the fiction once you've had the chance to have a look.

All The Best

Hi Jon,
Having some time on my hands I decided to drop in, albeit briefly, and let you know what I think of the Jonathan Oliver experience.

Nifty and professional. Had a look at the biography. Nice to see your influences include Bill Hicks. Why is it that genius dies so young?

Haven't had time to check out the stories, though I did read the background bio's. Will get round to it on Friday, and expect some chilling treats.

Anyway,all the best Jon.
Great layout,
See you on R.C.'s page.
Cheers,
Fran.

Nice site Jon. I love the photo of you looking all studious and authory. First time for everything. I'm currently working on my own site when I've got time out from teaching brats.

And I'm everybody's hero, this is true. In fact, I'm the wind beneath my own wings.

Jonathan Oliver, you're my hero.

But what's up with the ad banner, selling out already are we?

craig - Thursday, January 16th 2003 - 03:59:55 PM

Hi All

I know I'm supposed to be updating this website but my Tech guy is away for a while. So, here's what's coming up...
29th January (2003), I will be doing comedy at The Three B's bar in Reading Town Hall. This is an open mic evening so I could be on anytime from about 8.30pm until half ten. They usually put me on in the early half of ten o clock however.
2nd February - I will be doing spoken word at Bohemian Words in The Bistrot Vino bar in Reading. The evening will kick off from about 7.30 and I still have no idea what I'll be performing.
Anyway, catch ya later dudes.

Jon

Jonathan Oliver - Tuesday, January 14th 2003 - 04:05:37 PM

Sorry, I will be away from Wednesday 18th December to the 6th of January. Contrary to my previous e-mail I do not have powers of time travel.
I also realised that paid is not spelled payed. Call myself a writer? Honestly!

Hello all

One thing must be said and that is a huge thank you to James Tolley who designed this web-site. He's a good man is young James and very clever with computers. I'm not.
Slight bit of news. I have submitted my brand new story "What Ellroy Did In His School Holidays" to Cemetery Dance magazine in America. If this one is accepted I will get payed. Also, later this month I will send out my story "The End of Easter" to Weird Tales magazine. If I appear in this I will be over the moon. Weird Tales has been running for 70 plus years and was the home of H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard.
Anyway, I will be away from my computer from Wednesday the 18th until 6th of December so I hope that you all have a frabjous Christmas and peaceful new year.
Love to all

Jon

Jonathan Oliver - Monday, December 16th 2002 - 10:48:45 AM

Fiendish - very fiendish.

Alice Ekrek - Friday, December 13th 2002 - 11:14:16 AM

test. Is this damn thing working?

Jonathan Oliver - Thursday, December 12th 2002 - 04:32:42 PM

Thanks for all your messages so far. Everything works on the site now so have a look around and stuff.
I'm currently trying to search for a script that I wrote for the TV series Urban Gothic. This would have been made but apparently the producers didn't have the cash. Also they couldn't film on the London Underground where the story is set.
Anyway, if I can find Dead Train I will be putting it up in the next few days.

All The Best

Jon

Thanks for the post Rich my boy. You're not too bad yourself.

Great site dude! Love all the red. Very boudoir.

Can't wait to see your stand-up show - bring it to London, you know you want to!

Wishing you the biggest fur-lined manly cuddles I can muster.

As Ren once said to Stimpy:
You are one of the good ones!

Take care

Rich.
