Blake and I loved visiting Bobolink Dairy yesterday and visiting with you and your hardworking staff. We're looking forward to the ground pork, veal chops, cheeses and breads we bought and especially enjoyed last night your delicious duck fat/garlic bread. Delicious. We'll be back.

I e mailed Abigail Adams last night about our chance encounter and your funny story about her visit to the Reagan White House and told her about your offer to come with your wonderful cheeses to a Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival performance at Boscobel in Garrison. That would be great. I'll see her on Sunday at the HVSF Benefit. And I'll tell Marit and Lars about our visit with you, when we see them also on Sunday.

Best,

Belle Newton

It was unforgettable as was all the information and transparent sharing about the farm operations. I hope to go for another tour this summer. Thank you, I will never forget your farm!

I am from Zimbabwe and when I look at the work you do at your farm, it reminds me so much of home. That is just the way we did things at my grandparents rural home. Very little of it is left now because everyone is telling us to use the Monsanto maize seed, which depends on fertilizer. Folks can no longer grow maize from their harvests, the land it totally battered by the fertilizer and the environment cannot yield what it used to. PLEASE CONTINUE WITH THIS WONDERFUL WORK, MAYBE SOME DAY, IT WILL HELP US TO RECOVER WHAT WE ARE LOOSING AT THIS VERY MOMENT!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSPIRATION, maybe I will get a chance to visit your wonderful farm one of these days.

Your farm is an inspiration of what earthy, genuine food should be. There's no second guessing where this has come from; it's just plain good. Seriously, one taste is all you need. Thank you again. There is a lot of vacant farmland on the island, why don't you open a "branch" down here!!! We are starved for organic and tasty food. There are very few organic farms locally and NO decent bread or cheese makers!

My daughter just moved to Paris and I went to help her get settled (good excuse). I ate the most amazing cheeses and breads. I am going back in January and intend to try as many more as possible! I hope to come to your farm next Spring. I am addicted to cheese.

Keep up the good work. All the best!

How wonderful that my cheese arrived today, this, the day I celebrate giving up cigarettes 10 years ago. Your cheese is one of several nice things I'm doing for myself to celebrate. (I do wish I could taste your breads) Of the four, (surprised and thrilled to receive 4!)Baudolino is my favorite. Oh so smooth, creamy, and wonderful intense flavor. Your cheddar is incredible! It's so nice you named a cheese after David Amram, it has a lovely rich flavor. The Foret is quite nice too. Thank you for all you do!!

Comments:Jonathan and Nina,

I recently saw an episode of Tony Bourdain's No Reservations where he visits the farm and gets a tour (I think it was the NJ episode). I live in NH and have a great deal of respect for what you, Nina, and the family have created. I am ready to leave the commute and head to the farm; bless you both for having the spirit to do what you've done. I summered as a child on my uncle's farm and have explored alpaca's, sheep, cows, etc, for a living and unfortunately, the cost alone makes it a bit difficult. But, as you've shown, where there's a will, there's a way. After the kids are out of college, the big bills paid, I may be ready to absorb yet another tab on Uncle Sam; that of my own farm. By that time, my current flock of chickens, two pythons, two cats, and English setter will require more space. All my best to everyone..........Fred (by the way, our libraries are very similar - excellent taste!)

My name is John Hart and I reside in Manchester, CT. I was able to see the Bobolink Farm on the Travel Channel with Anthony Bourdain. I'm not a cheese expert nor a dairy expert. I just wanted to let you know that in a completely automated, mechanical, money-hungry society, it's nice to know that there are folks producing high quality product by getting back to the basics. I have always admired farmers, but never felt the need to write. Thank you for motivating that in me. Cheers!
